The more I think about a particular word, the more I feel like it's weird...

I had complete faith that I knew what 'editing' means until I repeated it in my head several times while trying to find the right font.

And then I was wondering if I did have the right word.

If I was spelling it correctly.

Wondering why it sounds the way it does.

Who was the first person to create it?

What were they doing that they needed it?

How many languages is it indirectly derived from?

Recently I've been thinking about how all words are made up...

How much of language is just a lie?

But it's such a beautiful thing this language. A collection of words—sounds that somehow hold immense meaning.

It's something that people spend their entire lives learning. And yet how much of is—essentially—imaginary?

Language is a gift that was given to us. Use it well
