Chapter 6 : New House

It was finally the end of the week and today was the day we got to see the house finished and we get to start moving in. All throughout the week we've met with designer's and construction worker's about what we want done to our own rooms and the rest of the house. It was perfect the way it was but it can always be better, that's what Bennett said about it anyways.

At one point all the worker's and designer's bombard me with questions because Bennett- the dimwit -said to run everything by me and as long as I was okay with it, it would get done. I got so stressed with trying to answer all of their questions at the same time that I almost fainted, it was a good thing Jordan walked in the house in time or else I would have been on the floor passed out. Maybe I should get a life alert...

I'll talk to Jordan about it later, he might need one too. Declan would probably mess with it so when he pushes the button it won't go off, I'll help him if he wants. Anyways today is the day that I finally get to see the house and my book room. I don't really care what my room looks like as long as it's comfortable and there's not too many bold colors, what I do care about is what my book room looks like. I helped with every step of that room being painted, built, and furnished. I'm actually quite proud of how much I helped, of course the boy's had to drag me out so they could put the room along with the rest of the house together.

But today's the day, we're all really excited.

Declan, Jordan, and Bennett all went home and finished packing while I went home to get all the boxes I packed downstairs so it would be easier, I had my music on blast while I did it.

"Naomi honey, your boyfriend's are here!" My headphones were pulled off my head as I stood up from setting down another box.

"Mom! That was my ear!" I rubbed my ear. "And they aren't my boyfriend's." I rolled my eyes walking past her.

"Yet." I looked at her weirdly. "They aren't your boyfriend's yet." She smiled and pointed at me. "Oh and they've been honking for the past five minutes." I just shook my head and walked away.

"Never change mom, never change." Opening the door I walk into a wall. I close my eyes waiting for the floor to connect with my body. "Ow!" I look up and stare into the dimwit who didn't catch me. "Bennett you could have caught me."

"Sorry I wasn't waiting for you to open the door and run into me so I could catch you." He rolled his eyes, giving me his hand to help me up.

"Gee thanks for being so considerate." I smiled, grabbing his extended hand.

"You're welcome." He chuckled as a crooked smile settled on his perfect lips. I looked away before he could catch me staring, but with the way his smile grew I knew he already caught me.

"Naomi!" I looked up and into the eye's of the weirdo that was hanging out the back of a moving truck.

"Jordan! Get down! You might lose more brain cells and that might be critical for you!" I walked over and hit his leg."Ay! That was mean." He sat down and started pouting. Declan rounded the corner and opened the back of the truck, pushing Jordan off as he did. "Hey Naomi."

"Hey Declan." I looked around Declan and inside the truck. "I didn't think you guys owned this much stuff." I looked at them. Declan shrugged, Bennett rolled his eyes, and Jordan scratched his neck. More than half the truck was filled and Bennett got the biggest moving truck they had.

"All your stuff will fit so don't worry your short self about it." An arm was placed on my shoulder, I looked up and into the idiot who's leaning against me like I'm a chair.

"Jordan move before I hurt you."

"You won't hurt me, that would be abuse." I side stepped and watched as Jordan hit the ground.

"Ow."

"Oops." I put my hand over my mouth and batted my eyelashes playing innocent.

"You meant to do that and there's witness's!" He pointed at Declan and Bennett.

I looked at them and batted my eyelashes "It was an accident, right?" They nodded. "See Jordan it was, now let's get my stuff packed up so we can go see my book room!"

"You mean the house?" Declan's eyebrows met in the middle as he looked at me.

"No, no I meant my book room." I smiled and went and got a box.

With a lot of breaks and moving boxes, an hour and a half later we were on the road and heading to our new home. I was sitting in the passenger seat of the moving truck while Declan drove. Bennett was leading the way with Jordan in the back probably asleep, he still hasn't gotten his driver license claiming that he shouldn't have to since he has us to drive him around. Still when I go and take the test next week he's coming with me and taking it too, we agreed that we'd take the test together for both our permits and license.

As we drove I laid my head against the window watching as the city turned to trees and meadows. Every now and then I could see flowers. The sky was full of clouds only letting rays of sun to peek through, making it look like a fairytale.

I rolled down the window and stuck my hand out, as my head set against the headrest I let my eyes close. Enjoying the feeling of the wind between my fingers and the smell of the trees waft through the window. I couldn't help but smile at the feeling I had in my chest. Soon enough I won't be able to enjoy this, instead I'll be knee deep in school work and assignments. Best enjoy it while I can.

"We're here." A hand shook me awake. I hadn't even realized I had fallen asleep.

"Okay I'm up." Jordan was at my window tapping away and smiling like a lunatic. Declan was just getting out but before he closed the door he flashed me a smile.

Opening the door and hopping out because I had to have help to get into the seat in the first place. I look up at the stone house and see the woods slightly darker and the windows were replaced. Still it was perfect and I couldn't imagine it any different. "Come on let's go see the inside, we'll get the boxes later." Bennett was already walking up the steps by the time I caught up to him.

He opened the door and let me walk in first. What I was met with was amazing and I couldn't believe this was done within a week! There was a L shaped couch but there was an add on so it was more of a U shape, the carpet was light and there was a big flat screen TV (which was probably Jordan's doing). Walking further and into the kitchen I can tell Bennett's going to be happy with it, especially the walk in pantry.

The dining room was pretty too but I couldn't help but run up stairs to see my book room! The boys were right behind me as I opened the door. I gasped "Look at all the books!" I walked up and ran my fingers against the covers until I found one of my favorites The Three Musketeers. The boy shook their heads and I'm guessing went to look at their rooms, at least that's what I got from the "This is so cool!" and the "This needs to go." and I can't forget the "I'm moving my bed and that's it."

I giggled as I walked to my room. As I opened the door and walked in one thought came to mind. "What do you think of your room?"

Without looking who was talking to me I answered "Too modern."

"So you want to change it after waiting a week?" Turning around I see all of them sitting in the grey chairs that you first see when you walk in.

"I said make it modern."

"This is modern!" Jordan extended his hands as if to show me what I've already seen.

"Not this modern!" I rolled my eyes. Idiot. "I'll just use the money I've saved up and make it more me. Maybe put up some lights there and take out one of these grey chairs. Oh and a bookshelf should go there!" I was getting excited just thinking about it. Maybe Sang could come with me? We had been talking all week. We texted mostly because when we called and talked her boyfriend's would take her phone away and tell me "She's not available at this time, call back later!" Though when Gabe was around he would make her give him the phone so he could talk to me, he would annoy me to no end about that shopping trip he's making me do with him. I did find out he likes art and drawing so when I told him I like it too he said we had to work together on something.

"No you're not using your money, I'll just put more on that card you never used that I gave you for your room back at the base." Bennett pulled me out of my overflowing thoughts.

"No, I'll just use my money, I don't want you to use more money in this room then you already have." I looked around painfully, now feeling guilty.

"It's fine. I insist." He shook his head, already taking his phone out.

"Well if you insist." I shrugged. Jordan laughed while Delcan snickered, shaking his head. "Well if that's it I'm going to be in my book room if you need me." I smiled as I pointed behind me while I walked backwards out the door. They waved out the door as I walked in my girl cave.
