Declan's POV

"Naomi are you ready yet?"

"Almost, five more minutes!" I rolled my eyes.

"You said that five minutes ago!" I crossed my arms. "You never used to take this long." I huffed.

I could hear her laugh, "Yeah well that was before I wanted to look good for you!"

I could feel a smirk pull at my lips as I replied "You still looked good then."

It grew quiet and my smirk turned into a smile when she whispered 'thanks' through the door. I would have teased her more but the door opened and I grew slack jawed.

She stood there in a dark red dress that seemed made for her body. If we didn't have a date to play out I would play her out- Declan! Get a grip man!

She looked like she belonged in a fairytale..

"Is.. it too much?" I blinked out of my stupor and shook my head furiously.

"No!" Lowering my voice I tell her just how beautiful she is. "I mean.. you look perfect." Okay maybe not how beautiful she is, but perfect is pretty darn close to it.

The blush that seemed to glow on her skin put me at ease. "Thanks.. you look pretty perfect yourself." Her smile made my own grow impossibly bigger.

"Well I try for beautiful girls."

Her eyebrows reached her hairline, "Oh? And who are these beautiful girls you're talking about?"

I could feel my eyes widen. I spoke in a panic, trying to rush my words out "Wait! I didn't mean- I swear you're the only- I'm sorry please-" Her bubbly laughter cut me off. I paused for a second before frowning and placing my glare on her ooey gooey brown eyes. "Ha ha, so funny."

"It was!" She clutched her stomach and pointed at me.

I rolled my eyes and started walking away, "Yeah, yeah. I'm leaving, are you coming or not?" I heard her footsteps before she appeared beside me. She smiled up at me and pushed her glasses up by the corner. I found the act extremely cute.

I laced my fingers through hers and started heading down the stairs. Once at the bottom she let go to go hug Bennett and Jordan goodbye. I just glared at them behind her back.

I had asked Naomi out and I guess they were close by or listening in- it really didn't matter -and they'd burst in asking her out as well! They stole my moment and then dared to challenge me to see who would give her the best date. I'm never one to turn down a challenge- especially to those idiots! So now we wait and see who can give her the best date. I locked eyes with both the idiots and nodded.

Let the games begin.

...

"So where are we going?" I glanced at Naomi then focused back on the road.

"Somewhere."

I heard her huff, "That doesn't answer the question!" I chuckled at her whining. Whining could get annoying especially after- a shiver went down my spine -let's just forget about the she-monster.

"Are you cold?" She placed her hand on my arm and leaned forward to look me in the eye.

"No, just thinking about.. a really scary monster."

She laughed, "On our date? Do I have competition? If so bring on the cat fight!"

I smiled, shaking my head "No you don't but please bring the cat fight on!"

She hit my arm but the smile on her face took away from her hit. "I'm not doing it for your dirty brain." I 'awed' before chuckling.

The car grew quiet after that. I had my fingers intertwined with hers between us and the music on low. I felt beyond happy just driving while holding her hand! How would I get through this date without pulling her away and kissing her?

I was about to find out because- "We're here!"

I parked and got out before jogging to Naomi's side to open her door for her. I can be a gentleman when I want to! She thanked me before looking around.

"Where are we?"

"We're at a concert."

Her eyes lit up, "Really?!"

"Kind of." She tilted her head as if asking me to elaborate. "We're at a park, bands are playing on a stage and there's a dance floor. I brought food.. I just thought we could have a picnic and then dance- or the other way around! It really doesn't matter to me! I've just really wanted to dance with you since Bennett's dad's part-" She cut me off.

"Declan your rambling." She laughed.

"Sorry." I rubbed the back of my neck. "I didn't mean to."

She laughed again and wrapped her arms around my waist. "There's no need to apologize, I would love to have a picnic with you and I'd love to dance with you." She smiled looking up at me. "Though I can't promise I won't step on your toes." I laughed hugging her back.

I squeezed her before letting go. I popped the trunk and got out the picnic basket and blanket. I had Bennett help me with the food so hopefully he didn't do anything to guarantee he wins.. hopefully.

"Okay! Lead the way my knight!" She pointed forward with her other hand on her hip.

I smiled walking the opposite way she pointed, "As you wish princess."

"Hey!" She ran to my side and looked up at me. "You could have told me I was pointing in the wrong direction."

"Ah, yes I could have but what's the fun in that?" I looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

She shrugged, "Oh and don't call me princess."

My eyebrows furrowed, "Why?" We could hear the music now.

"Because Sang's boyfriend Victor calls her that. Plus I want something special and not elementary Watson."

I rolled my eyes and wrapped my arm around her neck. "Come on, the bands right there!" There were other people here but not as many as I thought there'd be. I set our stuff down by the playground and looked around us.

There were concrete picnic tables with built canopies over them. The stage was set up and stood off the ground like a real stage and the dance flour was concrete as well.

"Can we eat now? I really want to dance." I smiled and started unfolding the blanket. She helped me spread it out before sitting down on it. I took out the food and set it between us.

It was nothing special. Just sandwiches, chocolate covered strawberries, and water. See, nothing special. We started eating while the band played country music.

"Do you like country music?" I looked at Naomi after I took a bite of my sandwich.

I thought about it before shaking my head. "I never paid attention to country music, I know a couple songs but that's really it. I do like what they're playing though, what about you?"

She nodded swallowing what was in her mouth. "I do listen to country music since Sang plays it a lot but I got into it after a while."

I smiled and looked at the band, "Do you like any artist in particular?"

"Yes, Carrie Underwood."

I nodded, "Do you have a favorite song of hers?"

"Blown away and Little toy guns, their really sad songs but I like them for some reason." She shrugged taking the last bite of her sandwich, I had finished off mine when she was talking.

I pulled off the lid to the strawberries and offered her the first one. She smiled while grabbing one, then she hovered it over my lips. My eyebrows rose as I looked from the strawberry to her.

"Just take a bite, I know you want it!" I rolled my eyes and took a small bite. She popped the rest of it in her mouth. I smiled and went to eat another strawberry on my own.

It's not that I didn't like it, I just didn't like it. Okay that's not really an answer but I feel like any other time that we're not around other people then it would be completely fine. So in the safety of our home would be one of them.. I can't think of another.

"Okay let's go dance!"

"Hold on!" She started pulling on my arm. I put the lid back on the strawberries and stood up so she could drag me to the dance floor. There weren't that many people on it, it was mostly old couples.

I thread my fingers through hers and bring our hands up. I wrap my other arm around her waist and bring her closer to me. She wrapped her other arm around my neck bringing her closer than before. I took a deep breath and took the first step, she followed perfectly with every step.

I chuckled. She looked at me weirdly, "What's so funny?"

I smiled, "And you said you'd step on my toes." At that moment she stepped on my toes. "Ow!" I grunted. Shaking it off I continued dancing, this time glaring down at her.

"What? You spoke too early, that one's on you." I huffed but brought her close again.

"I feel like you did that on purpose."

She tilted her head a small smile pulling at her lips, "Do you?"

"Just shut up and dance with me. " I grunted while using my hand on her waist to set her head against my chest for my chin to sit on. We were just swaying with the music at that point.

I wrapped my arms around her waist and she wrapped hers around my neck without taking her head off my chest. I sighed and closed my eyes.

I felt happy. Really happy. I almost don't want to take her home but then I wouldn't be able to sleep with her tonight. We agreed on the night of whoever's date, they got to spend the night with Naomi. It was in the Contract of Starbucks 2.0, we (Jordan) had to write a new one since things have changed. If you couldn't tell.

"Declan?" I hummed. "Do you think we could do this again?"

My eyes popped open. I didn't think she would want to. After a second I sighed and tightened my hold on her, "I hope so."

Her arms tightened around me, "Me too."

"Last song of the night! Enjoy!" I sighed closing my eyes again. We continued swaying in each other's arms and that's what we did for the rest of the song. When the song was over and they announced they were done for the night we went and said thank you.

Then we packed up and started heading for the car. Naomi had my hand and was swinging it between us. "Did you like it?"

"Yes, thank you for taking me here! I've never been to a free concert or a concert in general."

I smiled, unlocking the car to put the stuff in the back seat. "I'm glad I could give you something new to experience."

We got in and buckled. I started the car and backed out.

"Thank you." She grabbed my hand and brought it to her lap.

"Your welcome."

...

I parked the car in our driveway and got out to jog to her side again. I opened the door and offered her a hand. She smiled while taking it. We walked hand in hand to the house and as we walked in.

Bennett and Jordan were sitting on the couch watching a movie I think? But when we walked in they paused it and turned to us.

"So how was it?" They both asked at the same time.

"Well Naomi, how was it?" I looked at her.

She smiled while walking towards the stairs, "Amazing!" I started following her but turned around to mouth 'amazing' to dumb and dumber. I turned around just as she looked over her shoulder, "Are you coming?"

I nodded but pointed behind me with my thumb, "Yeah but I've got to get the food out of the car first."

"Okay I'm going to go change. Then I'll come down to say goodnight to Bennett and Jordan."

I nodded and went to get the picnic basket. I got it but left the blanket. I walked to the kitchen and started putting things away when Jordan and Bennett came waltzing in.

"So what'd you do?" Jordan leaned against the counter while Bennett leaned back in his seat.

I raised an eyebrow, "We went to a concert in a park."

Bennett leaned forward this time, "And what did you do at the park?"

"Danced.. why?" I narrowed my eyes.

They shrugged at the same time. "Just trying to see what made it amazing is all." I rolled my eyes at Jordan.

"It's probably the fact she had never been to a concert and I took her to one." I smiled smugly. "I gave her a first, beat that!"

"Declan are you done yet?" I smiled, waving at the two idiots as I started walking to the stairs.

"Yeah! I'm coming up!" As I started climbing the stairs I heard 'The smug bastard!' from the kitchen. I laughed walking the rest of the way to Naomi's room.

She was under her covers with Finding Dory on the Tv. She looked at me when I walked in, "What's so funny?"

"Oh nothing, just something Bennett said." She studied me as I pulled my shirt off.

I smirked and leaned towards her, "Give me a kiss before I get in the shower." She rolled her eyes but planted her lips on mine.

It was slow but building. I licked the seam of her lips and battled with her for dominance when she opened them. I was lost in a kiss that lit a fire within me. If I didn't stop now I wouldn't be able to stop. I slowed the kiss down until it was the slow simple kiss we started with. I pecked her lips and stood up.

"I'm getting in the shower now."

I felt a smack on my ass and looked at her. "Don't take too long." She winked. I chuckled and closed the door to the bathroom once I was inside. With a new pep in my step I planned to get this shower done and over with as fast as I could.

Because I have a beautiful girlfriend waiting for me..

I loved writing this though I busted my butt last minute XD

*Announcer walks out* Miss Bubbles you had something you wanted to say about a book..

*She turns to him surprised he came out* Oh! Yes of course! The book coming out in December will be out either towards the end of that month or in the first month of next year!

*Announcer clears his throat* And?

*She looks at him confused before snapping her fingers* Right! I have a lot of editing and rewriting to do on it since when I wrote it, it was still in my early stage of writing. That's it and have a good day- or night!

*Announcer sighs while dragging her off stage*
