Of the world through my eyes
You read me fantasies
but they've all proved to be just lies.

You guide me to my future,
Yet blur my wishful dreams, 
You carve into my feelings
And tear me at the seams

You promise me my happiness
But hide the truth within,
You drown my mind with curses
And I trace them on my skin.

You make me feel unwanted
When all i need is love
Am I really just a burden,
Despite all my effort?

I'm tired of these standards,
Which I can never meet
I'm just growing to be a person
You could never be.

Will i ever be the daughter
you wish to see in me?

Or will i live my life ,
Craving for your understanding,
And hoping for the day

When you stop demanding

That I play my life,

Along the lines of your script

And for the day that i smile,

Despite the pain you afflict,

On my mind, On my heart ,

Or any place left apart

From the chaos in the making
Of your own piece of art.
