7| Minka (Part 2)*

Word Count: 1, 299

As Aline and Cardi found their way through Neo-Ocionic City, Minka wasn't a happy camper. More like a, very, pissed off individual.

He took every idea in his mind, the best ones first, and tried to put them into the city. Many citizens hated this, he was changing things too fast for their liking. They didn't know what was going on. Left and right you could see change coming. One law would say you couldn't wear colored contacts, the next said everyone had to have green eyes. They constantly contradicted themselves, and eye color or hair color was just the beginning. Some would be so major, telling the people of the night to wear bright clothes or the opposite, people of the day wear dark clothes. So, naturally, many people were just confused and unknowing of which laws to avoid and which ones to follow.

Minka didn't care, all he wanted was to make everything different. And that he was... technically speaking. The citizens feelings towards everything never changed, they never wanted to give him the pleasure of seeing him control their minds. They refused to be like the Officials, they were Citizens, they would never be Officials.

Most of this chaos was caused by Minka, though certain other government officials agreed with him. Some just enjoyed seeing the citizens go through hell and some just plain hated the way this was turning out. Most of the ones that hated it were the elder Government Officials that had built the town from the ground up, and they hated to see it all start to go to waste.

"Garth? Get me those chains! Quickly! Quickly! It's about to start raining!" Minka yelled at Garth, who was carrying 50 pound chains to Minka. He had to barricade up some shops because of the hurricane threat that was coming their way. That was the only time the Government Officials actually cared about it's Citizens since they were very close to the ocean.

"Yes Sir." He hoisted them up to Minka and he tied them around the door handles before signaling his men back inside to safety.

Once back, he went straight to his office and opened his computer.

*Message From Fair Reaper*

The computers monotoned voice filtered through the room. Minka's eyes widened and he looked over from straightening his books on his desk. He sat in his desk chair and hesitated before opening the message.

Hey Aji Minka, it's Fair...

L had to clear their memeory a little while ago. I don't know if they remember me...
But anyway, the message you sent to G went through, after about a month of waiting. He hasn't responded, all we know is the money is soon to come through. That information is about to be leaked, your plan may just work. You don't have my vote yet though.

Minka's Cheshire Cat grin was so wide, someone could probably see it from a mile away. Cardi couldn't even stop him now. He would take the world by storm.

Cardi flopped on Kilyna's couch and Aline gently sat down beside him. Kilyna grabbed her computer and sat on the chair in front of them.

"Well, first off, let's get this out of the way."

Cardi leaned forward looking at Kilyna. Kilyna snapped her head up and rolled her eyes and flipped him off.

"Hey. Your going to have to deal with me for a while. Don't be doing that shit." Kilyna once again rolled her eyes but signaled for him to continue.

"You know Aline. By the way you spoke, so how?" Kilyna sighed and stretched out.

"I lived in Oxygin, at least when I was young. Aline, Well the old Aline, was my "nanny". She took care of me when my parents were working. That was before the government went to shit. I knew they were going to do something to Aline, and at that time it killed me because I loved Aline and I didn't want to see her hurt. So I left, I had just gotten old enough to go on my own." Cardi raised his eyebrows, but leaned back again.

"Okay... Welp, we need some answers. Speak." Kilyna looked at Cardi with a glare.

"I'm not a fucking dog, dumbass. I'm a fucking human. Talk to me at least a little civilly." Cardi grinned and nodded, telling Kilyna she needed to continue.

"Let's start from the very beginning." Kilyna began, typing in her computer before handing it to Cardi. It showed an image of Kilyna when she was a little girl. Her hair was brown and her eyes a bright blue. Cardi looked up confused.

"I didn't always look like this. Just like everyone else, I was normal as a kid. My parents were engineers, they worked day in and day out, so I was lonely. As soon as they got a job in Oxygin, they packed up all the stuff they could get in our little mini van and we left. I was left to myself most days... that was until I developed depression. My parents became worried, and that's where Aline came in. She was a motherly figure... well the old Aline." Kilyna took a break to look at Aline who sat staring in the distance. The thing was is that Kilyna didn't know that Aline knew exactly what she was talking about.

"Anyway, she was my Nanny, since she already worked for the government. Well as you know, they started experimenting. I saw Aline as a mother then, and when one day she came to me... she told me to leave, get out. She said it was too late for her, and she had to accept what fate was going to do to her. She knew exactly what was going to happen... And that was when I took her advice and I left, but I do believe I can see what's happened to Aline... it should be easy, I've hacked into their files before." She started mumbling as she grabbed the computer from Cardi.

"All I have to do is take a few files off their official website and revert them into another folder. Go into the deep parts of it and find what I need." Cardi didn't understand any of that, And that was Kilyna explaining it very simply.

"Aha! Exactly what I was looking for!" Kilyna exclaimed and Cardi sat in anticipation and Aline was still staring to some God-Forsaken corner.

"Aline... Aline... here it is. Aline was experiment number two. You probably being number one. Anyway, she was the first to be implanted with what they call a "Genomic-Impact-System". The description shows it's a type of computer chip... used to override the brains output of emotions. The only two emotions the people with this chip should be able to feel is nervousness and hatred. And that's in the appropriate times, other than that, they are emotionless."

"We're not emotionless..." Kilyna looked up at Aline who was still creepily staring at the wall.

"I never was." Aline spoke in a monotone voice, and Kilyna's face completely changed as Cardi scooted away from her as fast as he could. Her voice turned them emotional, but robotic. Her face was different, instead of the stoic look she always had on, her face softened and relaxed. Her hair started fading, the black turning blonde, but then glitching back to black.

A slight frown was upon her face and her next words sent shivers down Cardi's spine.
