Beautiful Sound.

When I looked for stories and one-shots with Takeshi, I couldn't find even one. Not even one! Takeshi deserves more love!! That's why I wrote this :) I hope you enjoy it and please leave a comment :D

Takeshi cursed under his breath as he slammed his hands against the keys of the piano. A sound that was painful to both our ears echoed through the room.

You leaned against the door frame with your arms crossed over your chest, watching him. He had been practicing for a long time already, and the more exhausted he became, the more mistakes he made, but he kept going nevertheless.

Normally, you'd love the way he played the piano, but now he was pressing the keys far too hard. His concentration was amazing, but that didn't mean that it was necessarily good. Even though he tried his best, he was too frustrated to do it right.

The corners of your lips curled up into a smile and you pushed yourself away from the door frame. Taking short steps, you slowly approached your boyfriend, who was now looking at the music sheet, trying to find our where it went wrong this time. He was too focused to notice you coming up from behind.

Your smile widened and you wrapped your arms around his neck and put your chin on his shoulder. Wild strands of his hair tickled the side of your face as Takeshi tensed up. His shoulders became stiff and he didn't move for a few seconds.

"Takeshi." You whispered as you reached out for his nearest hand. "You shouldn't push yourself too hard."

The texture of his fingertips was rough, just like one would expect from a pianist, while the palm of his hand was smooth, like a baby's skin.

"I'm not pushing myself too hard." Takeshi muttered stubbornly. "I'm just.. I.."

"Then what are you doing, Takeshi?" I asked him as I continued to fumble with his hand.

Takeshi simply sighed in response and just enjoyed your warmth. Your presence had always been able to calm him down and soothe him. It was also strangely comforting.

You pulled your arms back and walked around the black bench that he was sitting on. Waving at him, signaling to make some space for you, your smile widened once he silently did as I said. You sat down next to him, your shoulders touching his. You placed your fingers on the white keys, letting them glide over them without pressing them.

Then you began to play.

It was a simple song, something that everybody could play with a little bit practice, but that didn't mean that the sounds that you were making weren't beautiful.

Takeshi loved the way you played. He could listen all day, but you only knew this, one song. His eyes closed, and he took a deep breath. Maybe you were right. Maybe he was indeed pushing himself too hard. He only wanted to be able to play this song without making any mistakes, but maybe he was trying too hard.

When you finished the song, and retracted your hands from the instrument, you looked at Takeshi. He had calmed down, the frustration that was visible earlier was now gone. No trace left.

His eyes opened, clear blue irises presenting themselves.

He smiled. "You've improved."

And I grinned and nudged his side playfully. "Only because I have the most awesome teacher in the whole world."

Takeshi laughed, a faint color rose to his cheeks, and I laughed along with him.

After a few seconds, when we both quieted down, he decided to try again.

Takeshi placed his fingertips on the keys again and inhaled deeply before he began to play.

Imposing melodies filled the room. The way he played was amazing. His eyebrows were furrowed slightly as he tried to play the song as precisely as possible. He played it gently, unlike last time.

Even though it was the same piano, and the same song, it sounded so different from what he played before. It was bursting with emotion. With sensitivity.

All kinds of feelings welled up inside me. Sadness, joy, hope. The sounds he was producing were just so magnificent, so gorgeous. It was so wonderful that tears were brimming in my eyes.

His moved over the keys with what seemed am unseemly fast pace. So fast, and that without messing up. He played the mournful song perfectly.

Goosebumps rose on my skin. Just hearing it made me shiver.

The sounds he was creating were so pleasant to my ears. So brilliant.

Just beautiful.
