Bachelor's Party!
Meanwhile a mini "bachelor party" was going on in the guys room. They decided against going to the disc in fear of getting caught by their respective wife's. So the party was restricted to their posh suite. After few drinks they crashed on to different corners of the floor.
"I wanna go out!" Naksh cribbed.
"Me too..." Kairav joined him.
"And i wanna see my Suhana..." Aarav said.
Kairav & Naksh looked at each other. "You know whaat!? It's your bachelors party... and we will make sure all your wishes come true...!" Naksh said getting up on his feet wobbling.
"Yeshhh! consider it as our wedding gift" Kairavadded clutching on to Naksh's arm as he struggled to get up.
"Really...? You would do that forr mee!?" Aarav squealed.
"Dude!" Kairav and Naksh cringed covering their ears.
"Sowwiee" Aarav giggle.
"You call Suhana now! Ask her to be near the door. We will go bring her" Naksh said.
Aarav got up on his feet and wobbled his way to Naksh and gave him a tight hug. "I love you BRROO" He squeezed him.
Aarav immediately turned to Kairavand hugged him too.
Aarav then took his phone and dialled Suhana's number. He looked at the phone in anger and threw it away.
Naksh & Kairav looked at him bewildered.
"She doesn't have her phone with her" Aarav pouted.
"hmm... never mind my bwoy! why fear when Naksh is here" Naksh smirked.
"Let's go get her Suhana for him Broda!"
"And you..! You stay here alright! And do't worry dude we will get her!"
Naksh and Kairav set off to the girls room. Aarav watched them go and crashed on to the bed with a content smile.
The guys stood next to the door whispering their plans.
"Dude..!! How are you so sure our wives wont get up and Suhana will open the door!?" Kairav hissed.
"Because no girl would sleep before on their wedding eve...! And after what i have witnessed earlier today, Suhana will definitely not sleep!" Naksh giggled covering his mouth.
Kairav joined him.
"And how are you so sure that our wife's won't wake up!?"
"Because it's not always they get to sleep so early... you know what i mean..." Naksh winked at him mischievously.
"So i am sure they would make good use of their off night" Naksh giggled again, and Kairav joined him.
After few minutes when they felt they wouldn't laugh anymore, Naksh knocked on the door faintly. They knocked a bit harder the 2nd time and Suhana was up. She grinned mischievously and got out of the bed.
Naksh peeked through the keyhole and saw Suhana tip-toeing her way to the door. Naksh turned to Kairavwith a smirk! "See... i told you!" Kairav peeked again to make sure it's Suhana. He grinned at Naksh and bow down to him.
"hushhh steady now..." The guys stood each side of the door. Naksh held the blanket spread out.
"dude what are you doing!? Kairav asked confused.
"I always wanted to do this...! You know... like in movies... to kidnap the girl for buddy..." He grinned.
As the door opened, Naksh threw the blanket on her and cupped her mouth. Kairavthrow her over his shoulder and the two trotted towards their room before anyone could catch them. The moment the reached the room, he put her down, removed the blanket and pushed her towards and impatient Aarav. She crashed in to his waiting arms.
Though initially Aarav's grin widened, he felt something was wrong. He quickly left her and took a couple of backward steps. His jaw dropped when he saw the person in front of him.
"Ishaani!?" Kairav gasped!
Suhana gave Kairav an angry stare and turned towards the two guys.
"Dudee... do something...!!" Kairav muttered beneath his breath.
"Do what..." Aarav said cluelessly
"I dunno.. just distract her... ehm.. go. go kiss her!!" Kairav muttered.
"What!? No! Cant you see... she is ready to chop off my head...!" Aarav whispered.
"Dude! trust me! Kiss her!! i swear if you dont kiss her i will" Kairav said trying to push Aarav
Aarav glared at Nishant. "okay.. i'll do it!"
Aarav recovered from the initial shock and walked towards Suhana with a sheepish smile and wobbled steps. When he was near her, he grabbed her and pulled her towards him by her waist.
Suhana stared at Aarav in surprise. "You really think i'm not romantic..?" Suhana was taken aback by Aarav's sudden behaviour. He is not someone who is fond of PDA. She kept gazing into his eyes. "N..n..no.. Aarav.." Before she stammered her way through the sentence, he captured her mouth with his. While Aarav and Suhana were into each other, Kairavsignalled Naksh to come out.
Naksh's moment stirred Suhana's now blank-out senses. She broke the kiss and pushed away Aarav slightly.
Not even in her wildest dreams she thought Aarav Rajvansh, her shy to be patidev would kiss her in front of his friends!! And so it unsettled her. She flustered as she nervously made her way back to the door.
"G..good night guys... please dont stay up late.." she said trying to his her embarrassment.
Before walking out Suhana gazed at Aarav and said "good night Aarav..." She turned away and trotted towards her suite blushing.
"Dude I'm so glad to see my brother and your princess are seeing each other for a few days" said Paritosh aka Toshu fully drunk.
"What nonsense are you talking about? If any boy comes in my princess's life she would have told me..Samar Shah in Nayan's life?" Said Aarav drinking another glass of wine...
"What's wrong in that bro? "said Naksh...
"You're a jerk too Naksh " said Nishant.
"What do you mean by too,I mean who else is?" Asked Naksh.
"See it's very simple...I and you are just the same" said Kairav fully aware of the situation...
"Mind you guys, you are Pilots.. don't behave like Perverts" Naksh cautioned Aarav and Paritosh.
Aarav was tired of shaking hands and smiling at people all night, but it was business and he had to do it. Wondering how people in the socializing business did it all the time, he walked off to the drinks counter – he could really do with a drink.
"Whiskey" the man at the counter said, his shoulders were slumped and his voice slurred. Naksh wondered how many rounds had he been through.
The bartender looked doubtful, "Sir, you've been..." he muttered.
WHISKEY" The man shouted, banging his hand against the table. The bartender flinched visibly and looked over at him for help.
He nodded, "White wine" he said, going to sit next to the man.
"White!" the man announced, his head still slumped down on the table "that's my wifesh favorite colr" he drawled on.
Naksh nodded uninterestingly, "great" he muttered – it was his favourite colour too – but how did that matter now?
He turned around in his seat and looked at the party – he had met the CEOs of three conglomerates. If everything went well, he'd have three meetings fixed this week. And that meant he had a chance of billions worth of business. He closed his eyes and sent a quick prayer for no muck ups in this trip.
"Aarav Kapoor" the man announced, lifting his head off the table and looking at him dazedly. The movement seemed to have troubled him because he swayed on the spot.
Aarav Kapoor – Kriti's brother-in-law. And Kriti had told him that Suhana was in some kind of – before he could complete that thought process Aarav fell down on the table.
Naksh couldn't believe it – Kairavsister was about to get married to him? This man? No wonder she was worried.
Rolling his eyes, Naksh turned to the bartender who had just placed the whiskey and white wine on the table, "take away the drinks" he instructed. Aarav threw out an arm for the whiskey, "Give me" he ordered, his hand roaming wherever it could reach on the table.
"That would be enough" Naksh said sternly, "Let's get you out of here" getting up from his chair and pulling Aarav up with him.
Aarav's legs seemed to have turned to jelly, he stood up, buckled and swayed heavily, "What happened" he asked, looking down at his legs and blinking.
"You've had too many drinks. Come on" Naksh grunted, pulling Aarav up with great difficulty. He hooked one arm around his waist and draped one arm around his shoulders, "try and stay on your legs" Naksh instructed. He motioned for the bartender to come and help him.
The Bartender nodded and came to his aid, taking Aarav by his other side. "Sir, do you know him?" the bartender asked, as Aarav slumped to the ground as they reached the elevator.
Naksh ground his teeth together as he held Aarav from falling, "He's my –"
He stopped speaking –to my what? Kriti was his what?
Luckily for him the bartender did not seem interested, "Which floor?" he asked, as they got into the lift.
"Eh -" Which floor? How was he supposed to know which floor Suhana and Aarav stayed at?
But he knew where Kriti stayed – but he couldn't take Aarav in there – Suhana would be in Kriti's room, and taking Aarav to Suhana in this state would only worry her more.
He sighed, "14. Suite No: 1315."
The bartender nodded and pressed the buttons. Naksh rammed a hand through his hair – what exactly was he doing? Why did he care if Kriti's brother in law was lying drunk somewhere?
Why did we have to help Aarav? He rubbed his forehead – if this kept up, he was going to have a bad headache very soon.
He looked sideways at Aarav who was sitting down on the lift, his head against the contours of the lift – his brows drawn together – a frown on his face.
Looked like he was not the only one who was going to have a horrid headache.
At least Aarav had only alcohol to blame!
****
"Kriti – pick up the phone" Naksh muttered, as he only got the ring tone and not Kriti's lively, "Hello!"
Naksh, stop using adjectives for Kriti, and focus!
"Kriti, pick up" he growled, punching his fist on his thighs. No use, Kriti did not pick up. Cutting the call, he threw his mobile on his bed and turned to the bartender, "be with him till I'm back"
The bartender seemed visibly alarmed "But sir..." he started protesting. " Would somebody have taken over at the counter?" Naksh questioned. The bartender nodded, "Yes, but…"
"No buts. I will talk to your boss – he's a good friend" Thrusting some money into the bartender's hand, he turned to leave "I'll be back soon", with that he slammed the door shut behind him, and walked to Kriti's room.
He was supposed to be angry with Kriti – he wasn't even that. And now he had walked away from the party because her brother-in-law was drunk, and her sister might get more upset – Just great!!
Pulling at his suit jacket harshly, Naksh knocked at Kriti's door – once, twice, thrice.
The door remained close. "Kriti? It's me, Naksh – open the door, its urgent" he called out, and waited.
And waited. And waited.
The door didn't budge an inch. What the heck was he doing outside her room when he could easily be downstairs at the party, meeting potential clients? He thought irritably – his patience evaporating with every passing second.
Gritting his teeth, Naksh knocked on the door again, more harshly this time, "Will you open the door?" he ordered, raising his voice to an octave that he was sure would be audible to Kriti inside.
A couple passing by tossed him a teasing look – the man grinned a knowing smile and the lady winked at him.
Before he could comprehend what that meant, the lady whispered – "pass a note from under the room - that always works – and get her roses"
"What?" Naksh couldn't believe what he had just heard, "Excuse me?" he said, fumbling, shaking his head, "You're mistaken. She's not – we aren't –" he stammered.
The man shook his head at him, the lady whispered "good luck" on her way out.
Naksh blinked – what the bloody hell was that? "Unbelievable" he shook his head, "this is what you get for standing outside a girl's room and trying to help" he chastised himself icily.
Before anybody else came along and gave him love advice, he decided he would get out of here – to hell with Kriti and her problems. He would take Aarav to the reception and leave him there – they can contact Kriti. Absolutely no need for him to get involved.
Kriti's brother-in-law – her headache – how did he even care?
Thrusting his hands into his pockets and clenching his jaw, Naksh turned around and started to walk.
He'd barely reached the next room when he stopped. What are you stopping for Naksh? Go, this is none of your business –common sense told him. No he couldn't – he couldn't leave her alone – not when she needed his help.
"Damn" he growled in frustration as he turned around and started to walk in the direction of Kriti's room, " Damn you for making yourself matter to me, Kriti"
