I woke this morning feeling exhausted and unlike my usual self. As I got dressed, I noticed that my clothes were tight. I couldn't button my shirt correctly and the sleeves made my arms stiff and I couldn't lift or move them a certain way. 

'Ozpin... uh...'

I hear a deep sigh in my head, 'Oscar, you're growing up still, okay?'

'I-I-I can't leave the motel like this! I-It will be embarrassing to have everyone notice that my clothes are too small!'

'Ask Ruby to come with you to go shopping! It's not that hard.'

'I'm not as experienced as you, Ozpin.'

'I never had a girlfriend before, this is brand new to me.'

'How are you helping me with this then? How do you know how to treat them as your girlfriend?'

'My advice works due to seeing other students mingle... and overhearing others telling advice.'

'Wow... you're not as honest as I thought you were.'

'I am honest. Anyways, get Ruby and ask her to go with you.'

'I guess...' I take out my scroll and I scrolled down onto Ruby's profile. I clicked on it and I started to call her.

The scroll rang over 3 times until I hear someone picking the scroll up. "Hello?" I hear Ruby's squeaky voice over the scroll. 

"Hey there, can you do me a favor?" I asked.

'No, not a favor.'

"Sure thing, what's the favor?"

"Can you come to my room? You'll see why."

" 'k, coming over." She hangs up the scroll and after a few seconds I hear knocking on my door. I opened my door and I saw Ruby. Surprisingly, she was shorter than me, which is opposite of usual. She's taller than me by a couple of inches. "Here..." Her voice trailed off as she looks up to me. "Oscar...?"

I started to scratch my head and felt my cheeks turn warm. "Yeah... about that... that's why I wanted you here... I need to get a whole new set of clothes."

"Don't worry, I'll be your perfect companion."

"You're already my perfect companion." I let out a small laugh.

"Aww..." She unhooks her tattered cape and wrapped it around me. "Here, use my cape for now."

"Thanks..."

"You're my boyfriend, and I'll take care of you, whenever you need me to help you."

We spent hours just finding clothes that fit and match me. Finally, Ruby and I decided that I should wear a white buttoned up shirt and dark brown pants. We also bought a black belt and a latch that holds the staff. As soon as we bought them, we raced home so I can change.

After we got home and I changed into the newly bought clothes, we started to head towards the meeting place. On the way there, Ruby and I held hands. We never saw the team the whole day, since we sneaked out this morning. But we did inform them that we were safe and together.

We entered the forest where everyone was. As we kept going deeper, the forest's light was being blurred out. 

"How deep did they do?" I asked, shaking my head. "I would've thought they wouldn't go that deep."

"Not surprised. After everything... it's good to know that they're paranoid, we don't want any unexpected visitors." Ruby says, squeezing my hand. "Besides we have each other. We'll be fine."

I smiled and I smelled burning wood. "I'm gonna guess that we're close to them."

"Mmm! I smell some burgers!" Ruby laughs and she rushes in front of me, pulling me away. 

Ren was flipping burgers on sticks over the campfire while Nora was going through the desserts on the side. Jaune and Sun were talking to each other and the rest of team RWBY were starting to eat lunch. Qrow was drinking, as usual.

"Heh, hey guys!" Ruby shouts, having everyone turn towards us.

"Ruby!" Yang shouts out loud. But everyone... they stared at me like I was a stranger. "O-Oscar?" 

"Hey..."

"Wowee! You grew up, didn't you?" Nora squeals as she came next to me, poking at my stomach.

Ren sighs, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Nora, please calm down. Else you won't get any marshmallows after lunch."

"Aw, that's blackmail."

"No, it's a compromise."

"Anyways, can we eat? I'm starving." I say, taking a seat on a tree trunk.

"Of course, Oscar." Yang starts off, "You need it because you're a growing boy. Man, you're perfect for Ruby."

"H-Hey!" We laughed as we saw her cheeks turn red. Just being playful, I unexpectedly reached out towards Ruby and kissed her on her cheek. "O-Oscar..."

"Come on, get a room or something!" Sun yells. "But first, get something to eat first. We were waiting for you guys, so hurry it up!" His tail reached out for a plate that had a cheeseburger. He takes a bite and with his mouth full of food, he says, "Ren, this is so amazing!"

"Glad you like my cooking." He replies.

"Like Sun said, let's eat."

We stayed until nightfall. Apparently, Ren lied to Nora about the marshmallows, we were saving it until dinner. Because I felt so bad about Ren cooking, I volunteered to help him with the seasoning. 

"Thanks for helping me." Ren says as he takes the plate of burgers to cook over the fire.

"No problem. Just wanted to help out."

"Well, by the looks of it, the burgers are perfectly seasoned."

"Hopefully it is..."

"Don't sound too depressed, Oscar." I sighed deeply and it must've sent a message to him. "Oscar? Everything's alright?"

"Yeah... I just... Ozpin's not helping me at all, and I'm not going to ask Qrow."

"Asking about what?"

"Just... some girl advice..."

"Oh... I see." He clears his throat. "What's wrong with Ruby?"

"Nothing's wrong with being Ruby... it's just... I want to do something special with her..."

"Being with her should always be something special. Just... be with her and just stay with her."

"You're right, Ren. Thanks..."

"You shouldn't change anything, Oscar. You're fine the way you are. I bet Ruby'll agree with you."

"Thanks." I say as he takes an empty plate and fills it with the fully cooked burgers. 

"No problem. Anyways, take a burger and give it to Ruby. Things'll be better."

I take a burger and a bun and went towards Ruby. She was giggling and laughing with her team. "Hey Ruby..." I say. Handing her the burger. "You should eat dinner now."

She takes it and smiles, "Thanks Oscar. Same to you." She walks with me to the table. "Oscar... you're the greatest boyfriend I ever had."

"Bet I'm the only one you ever had." 

"Heh... how did you know?"

"You're not the type of person to actually have a boyfriend when you're young."

"You don't know that. Bet you weren't like me, always the ladies' man."

"Actually, I wasn't. I was pretty shy."

"Really? Wow, look how much we changed."

"Right? I like being here now. It seems... that we wanted to be someone different as a kid. But now... we changed so differently."

I felt a cold hand in my hand; turned to face Ruby and she was smiling brightly. "Oscar... I don't want these memories to end..."

"I'm not going to let us separate like that. Not now and not yet..." I kiss her forehead. "I love you too."

"Heh... oh Oscar..."
