Neo's pov

Landing the airship i opened the doors, getting out my seat i walked out and stood in front of the retracting walk way.

I looked to Cinder as i undid the illusion by my semblance, changing my outfit. She looked over the airship with a smirk.

Cinder: It'll get us there, but we won't fit in

Stepping down i placed my hand against the airship, focusing my semblance i gave the airship an illusion of an Atlas one.

As i let out a breath i took my hand away before clicking my fingers making it turn back to normal.

Cinder: Good, but you might want to materialise yourself some snowboots

Rolling my eyes i stepped onto the retracting walk way. Cinder joined me as we walked up it before it retracted behind us.

As much as i hate working with her, this is all so i can find Y/N. Besides, with her eventually trusting me it'll hurt once more when i stab her in the back.

Y/N's pov

Quickly looking to the right i saw the mech's hand coming towards me, before i could do anything it grabbed me and began squeezing me.

Caroline: Try anything and he'll be nothing more then a stain on my hand

Ruby: How could you do this to your own grandson!?

Caroline: It's my job to keep the peace, by any means necessary! It'll be an honour for him to die for such a cause

She's lost her mind! All this power must've gone to her head. As it slowly got tighter i let out a strained breath, the hand began melting from the toxic haze.

Caroline saw this and quickly threw me away, i was tossed onto the cliff edge and slammed against a tree, breaking my aura and possibly something else.

Falling down i held my side in pain, some how still conscious. Looking up i saw the others now shooting at her as the hand used for her hard light shield had melted.

Being caring to not breathe through my mouth i slowly got up, Caroline aimed her cannon arm at us making them run around.

Maria had managed to get out her ropes but Weiss was still unconscious so i hoveled over and began dragging her away.

My side jolted in pain making me fall to one knee, i saw the cannon aim towards me as i looked on it fear but it was knocked to the side as the airship fired missiles at it.

Gritting my teeth i dragged Weiss to a safe spot and untied her, peaking over the safe spot i began shooting at the mech, cracking the safety glass.

For something so big and intimidating it seems to be made of wet tissues or something, couldn't they spare better materials?

Ruby dashed around the mech's leg as it supported itself by placing it's left arm on the cliff face, she bounced up high off the mech before undoing her semblance.

Spinning through the air she slashed through it's cannon arm causing an explosion, she was thrown back but Qrow managed to catch her as her aura broke.

The mech fell into the cliff and let out a faint wirring sound before the lights on it shut off.

Despite the mech being out of commission i heard another set of large footsteps and... cries? Going past the safe spot i saw Grimm flying through the air...

Yang's pov

Catching Adam's sword, my hair was set a light before i pulled him close and drove my fist into his face, he was thrown back and created a crater trail in the ground.

My aura finally broke as i let out a shaky breath, looking to his sword i broke it using my prosthetic before throwing it over the edge.

He saw this and ran towards the falling blade, Blake hopped up and uppercut him making Adam stumble back.

He's out of options now, all he can do is surrender. I saw his and Blake's gaze move to her broken sword before they ran towards it.

Looking in shock i ran towards them in an attempt to stop them. Blake managed to grab the sword first and drove it into his chest as i stopped.

(A/N I had Yang not help kill Adam because i believe killing isn't in her character to kill and besides, now there's no BMBLB in this... like how there is im the show at least)

Adam: Oh...

Blake let go of the handle as he stumbled forward, falling to his knees he fell into the waters below. She fell to her knees an began crying as i came over.

She clung to me as i hugged back, rubbing her back in sympathy. Not knowimg what to do i kept doing that

Blake: I-I won't leave you, i promise...

Me: Promise that to everyone, you owe it to them too

Blake: *sniff* Okay...

When i got her to calm down we got up as i let go of her, looking to my arm which wa damaged to sighed before we began running back to the cliff face.

Eventually we reached it to see a giant mech that had powered down as someone yelled from inside.

The others were all stood around in shock as Y/N was leaning against a tree while holding his side, he was also missing the bandages around his face.

Ruby: Yang! Are you okay?

Me: Yeah, should be...

Blake: What happened here?

Qrow: TL:DR, We need to get out of here, now

Hearing a cry i looked to see Grimm flying through the sky as i saw a glimpse of a massive Grimm.

Jaune: What about the Grimm!?

Qrow: We can't stop them, let the military take care of it

Ruby:... I can. I can use my silver eyes

Stepping over to her i grabbed her by the shoulders as Y/N dragged someone over.

Me: That's insane, there's no way i'm letting you do that!

Hearing a groan we looked to see Weiss who was waking up for some reason, he grabbed some bandages and held them against his mouth.

Y/N: We have three options: run and let everyone die, let Ruby use her silver eyes, or i use my semblance to stop it

Me: I won't let either of you risk your lives like that

Y/N: It's the only choice we have

Weiss woke up and slowly stood up as she held her head. Letting go of Ruby i saw the airship land close to us.

Weiss: What's going on...?

Y/N: Big Grimm, need you to summon a lancer, sorry for knocking you out

Weiss: Wha-

Maria: Everyone on board!

We all got aboard the air ship as i saw Y/N wrap the bandages around his mouth, he held a support bar and his side as it took off.

Ruby: Ren mask the airship, Jaune you help him. Yang, Nora and Y/N, you all distract the big Grimm with your weapons. Weiss, summon a Lancer and take me close to it

Y/N: Then leave the relic here, it'll attract it to you if left with you

She nodded and handed the relic to Oscar. Weiss began summoning her Lancer. When finished Ruby hopped on it as we took off.

She followed along with his as he dodged around Grimm, shooting at Grimm that came towards Ruby.

As we got close to thw massive Grimm it opened it's mouth as it's neck glowed.

Qrow: We're too close, pull up!

The airship pulled up as flames spewed from it's mouth, hitting the hardlight shield and going along until it hit the generator.

The Lancer summon stayed in front of the giant Grimm as Ruby stared it down, she took out her earpiece as we watched.

For some reason nothing happened and she eventually looked to the Grimm as it walked past her.

Y/N: It's going to the city! Weiss, bring her back

She nodded and the Lancer was brought back to the ship, Ruby sat on it in shock as she hung her head.

Taking her off it i saw Y/N nod to Weiss before he hopped onto it and it flew towards the Grimm

Me: Weiss! Bring him back, it'd bad enough Ruby had to!

Weiss: I can't, since Ruby can't use hers for some reason this is our only other option

Ruby: I... i couldn't focus, the memories of Penny and Pyrrha kept coming back i... i'm sorry

Y/N's pov

As the Lancer got close to the Grimm it slowly stepped towards Argus, taking off my bandages i stared at it before taking a deep breath.

Letting it out a thick haze mixed with the air, the wind brought it along the Grimm as the Lancer brought me closer.

It hit the Grimm before it roared it pain, skin and armour bubbling at it melted from the touch. The Grimm threw it's head up and breathed out fire

It whipped it's head down as the Lancer dashed backwards, the flame barely traced me as i looked to it in distain.

I'll never be burnt again... i began blowing out more of the toxic haze, it hit the Grimm as it melted from the touch although i began getting light headed.

Eventually the Grimm crashed into the water as it melted away, a large ash cloud rose into the sky before i fell onto one knee.

I showed it to not mess with me... my eyes felt heavy as the Lancer began taking me back to the airship before i passed out.
