{SIXTEEN}
EDWARD CULLEN:
I watched as everything started to unfold. The screaming the yelling the heavy breathing the thinking. It was weird. Not really. It was kinda cute. The way Aurora would snap at him. The way she would pushed back but then I realized something was wrong. She was shaking. A lot. Her breath was shaky as her nails dug into the palms of her skin. As she was yelling I gently opened her clenched palms lightly rubbing the marks on her palms. She didn't notice of course. No one did. But doing that seemed to calm her down. Calm me down. Why I don't know. I listened to both of them as suddenly I heard what the teacher said...well, thought. And then, he said it. Shocking me, her, and everyone that knew her which was everyone.
"Enough with the pity party. Who cares about your dead mother. I mean, I would die from a 'drunk driver' to get away from you. And your brother who is in the army only enrolled to get away from you because he didn't want to be associated with an ungrateful girl like you. After all, you deserved everything the football team did to you" he spat and I looked up at her as I saw the tears well up in her eyes. They were close to streaming down her face when suddenly, they did. She suddenly snapped out of whatever was on her mind as I saw her push past me and ran out the door. Her breathing quickened as everyone just looked and watched as she panicked. They just watched her break and the teacher who stood there triumphantly. The teacher who I wanted to murder right now...
Suddenly there was mumbling as everyone was talking about what just happen. I sat there thinking. About her. What happened. Her brother. Her dad. Her mom. Her.
Quickly I ran out but not at my speed at the speed of a normal person. But either way once I was out if that room I ran around the school looking for her. Not caring who saw or how fast I was going. That's when suddenly I bumped into Laila making her crash down onto the ground.
"Goddamn" she muttered and I sighed helping her up. I despised her but I needed her to help find Aurora.
"Laila, I need your help" I spoke and once she got herself together she looked at me confused a bit while raising a brow
"What?" she spoke baffled a little.
"I need you to look in the bathroom for Aurora. She ran out and I'm worried about her" I spoke quickly. I needed to see her. I needed to make sure she was okay.
"And why can't you do it yourself?" she questioned and I let out a small groan in frustration.
"I can't because it's the women's restroom...if she's not in there it would look weird to roam in there then walk out. Especially with a camera right there"
She only nodded in response as she ran off to check the bathrooms. God. I was a mess. I needed to find her. I needed her.
Suddenly that's when I heard it. The scream of Laila and the quick yelling of my name piercing through my ears.
"EDWARD! COME HERE! NOW!" she screamed as quickly I ran over to her screams. Not caring if the camera saw how fast I was. I didn't care. I needed her and I needed her now.
As soon as I got to where Laila was she was struggling to keep Aurora up. Her head was bloody and she was laying on the ground knocked out.
Quickly I pushed Laila aside picking her up as my eyes suddenly turned red. I sucked in a sharp impossible breath as I held in every need to just...kill her.
"Edward. I think I should get her out of here..." she spoke seeing the strain and struggle I was going through.
"N-No" I choked out and before she could say or do anything I dashed out of the bathroom and out of the school. Clinging Aurora tightly to my chest.
__________
I sat there fidgeting. I was at the hospital while Carlisle was fixing her up. God. How much she made me crazy...
Soon it felt like hours as I looked up at the clock seeing it was late. Not that late but not early...it was 5:38 right now. It's been a whole school day that she was in that room...I was scared.
Suddenly the front door burst open and I saw as Aurora's dad came running in and at the same time, Carlisle came out of the emergency room standing next to me as he dad frantically went to the front desk yelling about Aurora. The lady just looked panicked at the worry and the tone in his voice as she suddenly pointed shakily to me. Me and Carlisle. We just sat there waiting as he hurried over to us and stood next to us as I could hear the thoughts in his head. Despite the pain and worry that flew inside his head tears were about to spill from his eyes and I don't blame him. He lost his wife, he's losing his son, and has the possibility of now losing his daughter. It was a wreck...and I couldn't help her.
"H-How is she?! Where is she?! What happened?!" he said quickly as we both just looked at each other. That's when Carlisle knew I didn't want to say anything so said something himself.
"She's stable. She hit her head but didn't need any stitches. She should wake up soon" he spoke and her dad nodded.
"Which room?"
"Room 826" he spoke and instantly her dad ran off to room 826...
As I sat there. Thinking. That's when suddenly the intercom came on and Carlisle's pager was beeping.
"Code blue. Dr. Cullen to room 826. Code blue"
Shit...
