EDWARD CULLEN:
The day went on and there were no signs of Aurora...what made it even worse was that I couldn't sense her or I couldn't read her thoughts so I was like a basic person when it came to her...

Suddenly, without warning, the final bell of the day rang. Hesitantly I got up walking out of the classroom and outside when I saw Mr. Frost get into his car...without Aurora. I mean, I assumed he drove her since she's his daughter and all but I was a little bit worried at this point...

Her dad was gone now and Aurora was gone...she has been all day long ever since lunch...

Suddenly, I heard a loud scream. A shaky scream...

"D-Don't touch me!"

I knew who it was. Aurora. She seemed...afraid. Quickly I turned around seeing the crowds of people rushing over to someone. That's where she was. Quickly I ran over pushing past the people seeing Aurora...fast asleep in Jacob's arms...

AURORA FROST:
I laid there again as Evan and his...team got to me again. They yelled at me for getting their friend expelled and kicked off the team...they said this was my...punishment.

After they were all done I got up shakily as they all laughed at me...I hated myself and I hated them. Quickly I got dressed running out of the locker room that I was in all day long...I ran out and outside seeing my dad's car was gone...shit.

"You okay?" a voice spoke behind me. I already knew who it was before I even needed to turn around. It was Laila.

"Y-yeah. Fine" I stumbled out and she walked over stepping in front of me.

"Aurora, you're shaking," she said softly as I quickly shook my head.

"No. No no no no no. I'm f-fine" I spoke shakily. My breathing started to stagger as I knew I was panicking.

"Aurora. Calm down" she said calmly with a hand on my shoulder and I flipped.

"D-Don't touch me!" I screamed as everyone was now looking at us...at me.

"Baby doll. Are you okay?" Jacob spoke walking over to us as he held Laila's hand. My breathing worsened as I felt as if I couldn't breathe.

"Jacob. Something isn't right..." Laila spoke. Worry laced in her voice.

Jacob nodded and grabbed my arm as I tensed up. Scared what he might do. Suddenly my eyes began to flutter open and shut. Things started to get blurry and I suddenly let out a small giggle.

"Jacob!" Laila yelled as everything just went black.

EDWARD CULLEN:
I rushed over and looked over at Jacob. Panic and anger running through me. All I wanted was her to be alright. I care about her. So so so fucking much.

"What happened?!" I spoke quickly.

"I don't know. She just fell unconscious" he answered and Laila walked over hesitantly. I never liked her...or Jacob but whatever.

"Edward, we need to get her out of here. I know what's wrong" she said softly. She looked...scared. What was her problem?

I nodded and took Aurora away from Jacob holding her possessively and closely.

"Move!" I yelled at the crowd of people and instantly they moved. I walked out seeing the football team looking at me. Glaring. They all looked mad except Evan. He had this satisfied smirk.

I finally just ignored them as I opened the car door laying her inside and bucking her up.

"We'll meet you there" Laila spoke and I jerked around glaring at her.

"No. You won't" I snapped opening the door so I could get in.

"Edward, I know you hate me but if I'm right she would want a girl with her. Not you and not your brother's or sister's because she doesn't know them. She would most likely be comfortable with me so deal with it" she snapped and I sighed looking at Aurora and back at Laila.

"Fine" I huffed and she had this triumphant smile. I just rolled my eyes getting in and drove off.

As soon as I got home I saw Jacob and Laila standing there waiting. I rolled my eyes at them annoyed a bit but whatever. All that mattered right now was Aurora.

Gently I picked her up again as I walked over to the door and into the house. I already knew Rosalie or Alice told Carlisle or Esme what had happened. They always kept tabs on me since Bella.

"Edward, what happened" Carlisle spoke taking her from me setting her on the table. I just watched not responding. My entire attention was just set on her.

"She had a panic attack" Laila suddenly spoke snapping me from my trance.

"What?" I spoke and she sighed.

"A panic attack. It was until she fainted" she spoke walking over grabbing her arm.

"Don't touch her" I snapped and she sighed.

"Edward. I'm trying to help her" she snapped a bit as Jacob suddenly wrapped an arm around her. I guess I see why he's protective. She is still human and any one of us could snap and kill her. Then again, he's being stupid because none of us has eaten a person in forever.

Suddenly I saw Laila push Jacob off and looked over at Carlisle.

"Do you have a wet cloth?" she spoke softly and he nodded handing her one.

"Don't touch her!" I snapped and she groaned in annoyance.

"Fine then, Alice, can you do it for me?" she asked and Alice nodded. Of course, she asked Alice. Alice gets along with everyone.

"What do you want me to do?" she asked as she took the cloth from Laila.

"Wipe her arms, legs, and face" she spoke and Alice nodded listening to her.

"But do it gently" Laila added as Alice again nodded.

Soon enough that's when I saw it. Her arm, legs, and face covered in bruises. I growled clenching my fists. Whoever did this was going to pay.

I walked over and gently stroked her cheek. A tear suddenly fell from my eyes and down my cheeks.

"Let's leave him alone now" Carlisle spoke and everyone nodded going upstairs. Now it was just me with her. Me, Laila, and Jacob.

Suddenly I saw tears fill Laila's eyes. I didn't have to ask why she was crying. I knew where she was coming from and her past. I don't know if she told Jacob but I didn't mess with that because I probably couldn't have cared less what she does or doesn't tell him. It's her business.

"Don't cry baby doll" I heard Jacob spoke. I just growled softly rolling my eyes. God. He was annoying.

I turned cupping Aurora's cheek gently stroking it. I looked seeing the bruises all over her. It made me sick. It made me hate whoever did this and it made me hate myself that I did nothing to stop it. That I couldn't do anything.

I sighed kissing her head softly when I pulled away seeing she was awake. Fear in her eyes.

"W-Where am I?" she spoke in a panicked voice and sat up. She looked around and then down at the ground as her eyes suddenly widened.

"Who did this to you?" I asked pointing to the bruise on her arms and I saw a tear slip down her cheeks.

"Don't cry mi amore. Just tell me who did this" I said in a soft voice. She only trembled more as Laila walked over pushing me away slightly.

"Leave her alone Edward. Asking her questions will only scare her more" she said softly and I nodded stepping back.

Suddenly she whispered something to Aurora and she nodded in response.

"Edward. Can you and Jake leave me and her alone for a minute?" she spoke and I nodded with a sad look in my eyes. I just wanted her to be happy. She looked sad and I hated it...

"Come on Edward" Jacob spoke walking out and I nodded following. Not saying a word. How could I? I felt frozen...

AURORA FROST:
I sat there watching as Jacob and Edward walked out. Laila just standing there waiting for them to leave too. It was like...like she was afraid to say something in front of them...most likely Jacob then Edward but still.

"Aurora, what did they do to you?" she suddenly spoke.

"Who?" I asked playing dumb. I knew what she was asking but I didn't want to talk about it.

"What did Evan do to you. Did he hit you?" she said gently and I shook my head lying straight to her. I didn't want anyone to know...

She sighed and suddenly rolled up her sleeves as I saw her arms covered in scars. Scars, cuts, and even bruises. I gasped and looked up at her.

"Does Jacob do this to you?!" I asked suddenly. Anger coursing through me.

"Oh God no! He would never!" she quickly spoke and then took a deep breath.

"It's from my past relationship. He used to beat and rape me. On top of that my stepdad does too" she spoke making it quick. I knew how much she really did not want to say anything about it. That and she didn't want to think about it.

"Do you cut?" I whispered and she nodded.

"Does Jacob know?" I whispered again and she shook her head.

"Only the abuse and rape part. Not the cutting" she confessed and I nodded. I didn't know what to say.

She sighed softly pulling up a chair and sat next to me.

"What happened?" she spoke softly. I could see the hurt in her eyes. She cared.

"Evan raped me...he let his friends join...after they beat me...terribly" I whispered as tears streamed down my face.

She only nodded and engulfed me into a hug. She sighed and just stayed there. Finally, after a while, she pulled away and I sniffled softly.

"Does your dad...hurt you too?" she spoke and my eyes widened.

"No! Never!" I quickly spoke.

"He would never hurt me like that. Ever" I spoke as she nodded.

"I heard what happened with Mark and Edward," she said softly. I think she just wanted to change the subject.

"Yeah. Mark was...trying to touch me when Edward started beating him...why did he help me?" I asked and she only gave me a small smile.

"Can't say" she smiled deviously. I shook my head in response with a small giggle.

"I also heard what happened with Mark and your dad. How he blew up on him. Well, Edward told me about it. Actually, Alice did" she laughed and I nodded.

"Why is he so protective of you?" she suddenly asked and I looked down messing with my hands.

"You don't have to tell me I just...I want to know you better" she said with a small smile.

"My mom died from a car crash" I spoke bluntly and I saw her face fall.

"Oh. I'm sorry...I didn't m-" she rambled but I cut her off.

"Laila. It's fine" I spoke softly and she nodded.

Silence filled the air and moments passed when suddenly both Edward and Jacob peeped their heads into the room making both of us giggle.

"Can we come back in?" Edward spoke and I nodded with a smile. He smiled back. It was an odd feeling but something about him felt...
