Chapter 13~ Setting Things Straight

This will be in Danny's POV I know my other chapter wasn't as great and all but I just needed a filler. :) enjoy! *warning a lot of swearing in this chapter.*

~~~
Have you been in a situation where you never wanted to leave? You just wanted to stay in the moment forever until time stopped. And even then, it wouldn't be enough, you wanted to have that moment forever.
That's exactly how I felt.
I didn't want to leave.
But I had to.
I smiled at the sight in front of me as I leaned against the doorway of Sophie's room. She looked so peaceful tucked in under the covers as she slept. I could only see her brown hair that was messily sprawled across her pillow, her face which seemed at peace as she slept, her eyes closed and her delicious lips parted along with the top part of her tee shirt. Her breathing was even and quiet as I slowly closed the door.
That is what I was going to wake up to everyday for the rest of my life. And even then it wouldn't be enough.
She was mine. Only mine.
I wasn't willing to share with anyone. Not even her family.
I had always dreamed of the day I would meet my mate. Ever since I was kid and taught that mates were everything I waited. And I did my waiting. And now that I had her I wasn't going to let her go.
I walked down and the stairs and out the front door. The icy wind and hard rain felt normal against my skin as I walked toward town. The clothes stuck to my skin but I didn't mind.
'Alex. Where are you?' The good thing about being a wolf was telepathy with your pack. And I was especially thankful now.
Alex Turner is the beta of my pack. Now normally a beta would be a male but the Mr. Turner, Alex's dad, and his mate could only conceive once before she died. Sometimes having a human mate wasn't always good because they were easily prone to diseases. Alex's mom died of cancer when she was six.
She's strong, stubborn but has an understanding mind when dealing with packs. Ultimately she's been my best friend since forever. We bonded even more after her mother's death but we never went into the stage of wanting to date each other. We both wanted to save ourselves for our mates. It was a mutual feeling.
'In the alley way. I still left him pretty fresh for you. I'm sure you're more than happy to finish the job.' Her voice is cynical and calculating in my head like a madman on the loose enjoying their kill.
Our pack wasn't known for our forgiveness or kindness when it came to mistakes. No, we were only kind to those in our pack and that was it. And not even then were we lenient.
'I'll be there i-'
Suddenly an image of Sophie's face appeared when I ran into her at the corner. She had tears streaming down her face, her brown eyes filled with utter fear and her body was shaking uncontrollably although I doubt she knew. She was scared, so scared and I could feel it. Every bit of it.
And it was all his fault.
It was all that fucking assholes fault.
'2 minutes. And don't mess with him until I'm there.' My voice was deadly. I knew that much. And I could already feel, Xavier, stirring wanting blood to be shed.
Let me take control Daniel. Let me sink my teeth into his neck and claw his body. I want to see his blood run down the street. I want him to feel the terror Sophie felt. He hurt her. He touched her. He touched what's rightfully ours. Give me control.
Xavier was livid with anger, I could feel him growl with intensity. It was one of the many traits we shared. Possessiveness.
My muscles tensed and I could already feel him tug for control. I wanted to kill the bastard as well but I couldn't because it would be too easy. No. I was going to terrorize him. Every god damn day.
No. I want that as much as you do. But we're going to make him pay. Slow and agonizing, he'll be begging us to kill him.
I could feel Xavier grin maliciously in my mind and I smirked as I turned down the alleyway.
It was dark the further you went in and I knew then why it was the perfect spot for rape. You could hardly see what happen by the time you reached the end of it.
I heard grunts and groans of pain as I got closer. Alex and the bastard were in the end. They were both wet from the rain but you could tell the only one who didn't mind was Alex. Alex was grinning, circling him as if wondering where to strike next. She was always calculating. Always making sure when to make the right move.
The bastard clutched his stomach as he laid down on the cold, wet concrete floor. His lip was busted, his cheek had a major bruise along with the rest of his body. And all around I saw scratches.
"You were playing with him." I observe. Her grin only widened as she heard my voice. Looking up I could tell she had fun but not because of her petty work, but for the fact I was about to beat him to a pulp.
"I couldn't have all the fun, could I?" Her voice is teasing and inviting. Then it suddenly becomes grave with worry. "Is she alright?" Her eyes are still hard but I can tell they're dying for an answer.
"She's fine. Shaken up but for the most part fine." I say before focusing my attention on the bastard. "I can't say the same for you however." I address to the poor excuse of a human being laying on the floor.
"What's your name?" I ask walking towards him. He groans looking towards me and I can hear him gulp.
"Ryan." He responds hoarsely. I only nod knowing my stiff posture and cold stare is enough to make anyone scared.
"Do you know what you did, Ryan?" My voice is dead of emotion but it almost seems taunting.
"I-i I didn't mean to man." He says stuttering and he opens his mouth to say more but I stop him.
In an instant I have him by his shirt against the wall. My hands are wrapped around the fabric tightly, so tight my knuckles are white. His eyes are wide with horror as he sees the rage in my face, his faces pales and I can hear his heart beat frantically in his chest. He practically reeks of fear. But when I close my eyes and smell him a bit more I can smell the trace of Sophie's scent on him and that only fuels my anger.
"You didn't mean to?" I repeat one more time calmly. He only nods and that's when all hell breaks loose.
"YOU DIDNT FUCKIN MEAN TO?! THATS YOUR FUCKIN EXCUSE?!?!" I yell as I shove him to the ground. He lands gruffly but I'm not done. I bend down and I punch him in his face with every I have.
"Ahhh!" He screams in agony trying to grab his face but I don't let him.
"Is that what you always say?!?? Huh?!? Come on asshole answer me!!!" I say punching him again in the stomach in the sensitive spots. He gasps for air and tries clutching his stomach, he's clearly agony and I've only punched him twice. Drawing back my arm I punch him in the nose and hear an audio-able crack. Blood seeps down his nose to his shirt and the angle of it tells me I broke it. He moans painfully not knowing how to handle all the pain.
I love the sight. No matter how fucked up it seems. His pain gives me a sense of joy.
I grab his shirt and hover over him. His face starting to swell on his left side and I can't help but admire my work. "Let's get things straight." I say, voice hard and deadly.
He can still look through both eyes and for some reason I want him beat more. Punching him in the jaw and eye again I listen to his agonizing cries before continuing.
"Sophie is mine. You're not going to lay a finger on her ever again or else I'm going to cut your hands off while you watch. It'll be slow and painful I guarantee it. She's mine I don't give a fuck what you think. You're not going to look at her, talk to her, or even be in the same fucking room as her. And if I catch you doing any of these things. You'll be dead. I won't care what fucking excuse you give. You won't even have time to tell me it because you'll be crying, begging for the pain to end. And if you try and get others to touch her, I'll kill them in front of you and then save you for last." I tell him. My voice is something out of a horror movie. Deep and cynical. "This is your only warning so I'd be fucking careful."
I drop him on the ground with a thud not wanting to spend any more time on him. Adrenaline is still fresh in my body as I inspect him.
His clothes are tattered and ripped, sticking to his body from the rain. Bruises are visible from Alex's previous beating, his face is now swollen completely. His hair is matted down sticking to his forehead, his left eye is swollen, turning purple already along with his cheek and jaw. His lip is busted as well and bleeding slightly. His nose seems the worst bending in a weird angle and bleeding out but the rain seems to help wash it away.
"Let's go." I say gruffly feeling slightly satisfied from his beating. I wanted to make sure he wouldn't touch Sophie again. But this was only the beginning of his punishment.
"That wasn't all was it?" I hear Alex ask from behind me as we walk away from the alleyway. I can only smirk at her question and I can also feel Xavier grin on my head.
"That was just the warning." I say maliciously.
