'' You are too early.'' That is what Luna said after her eyes laid on Chris. She straightened her spine and her knitting set aside.

'' Nothing.''

After he placed his suitcase on the coffee table slowly and then he enters the kitchen. Without even giving a look at his mother.

Luna sit still on the sofa and observed him sharply. Her mind started to think. What could had happened?

Problems?

Chris take a bottle of water from the fridge and he drinks it too fast. Beads of sweats on his forehead started to dry. Giving him a chilling sensation. His eyes looks gloomy and emotionless. Tired.

'' You are looking terrible. Sweaty and messy? You never returned home like this before. Are you having any trouble?" She asked after he sat on the sofa next to her.

She rose her eyebrow after a few seconds.

'' You owe me an explanation, young man. Silence is not a way to escape." She uttered carefully.

'' Nothing. Just some problems at office. I'm sure everything will be alright in a day or two."

" Okay. What should I cook for lunch then? We have some potatoes and lamb slices.. So it would be smashed potatoes with steak, is that okay?"

" That sound great. I'm going to my room. Call me if you need any help, Mum."

" Take some rest." Luna patted Chris's head and went to the kitchen.

Chris gulped down the lump in his throat.
Did he just lied to his mother? Sorry Mum.

Chris climbed the stairs unwillingly. It seems endless. One after another. As soon he entered his room he closed the curtain and throws the suitcase. He laid on his bed and closed his eyes. Sleep took over.
