Part 1

Eunji POV

"Hayoung! Wait up!" I called out as I ran to catch up to my sister.

Suddenly she stopped and turned to face me. "I thought I told you to wait at home. Why don't you ever listen to me?"

"I just wanted to come with you" I managed to say, despite being short of breath.

Hayoung sighed and ran her hand through her hair. "Fine, if it means that much to you..."

"Thank you Unnie!" I jumped up and gave her a hug. Then I ran ahead of her to the crosswalk.

"Ya! Where do you think you're going?" she screamed after me.

I continued running towards our destination. I heard her yell from behind me and so I stopped in the middle of the crosswalk and turned to look at her not noticing that a car was heading in my direction. The people all around me ran to get out of the street, but I just stood frozen in the middle of the road. I turned and saw the car coming at me. I knew I wouldn't be able to move in time. Suddenly, I was pushed out of the way just before the car made contact.

Hayoung POV

Eunji ran off ahead of me. "That girl. When I get ahold of her...." Suddenly I saw that she was standing in the middle of the road. "Eunji!"

She stopped in the middle of the road and looked at me. Everyone around her was scrambling to get out of the road. I turned and saw that a car was heading in her direction. I had no time to think. I ran out into the middle of the road and pushed her out of the way just in time.

The car hit me and I blacked out. When I came back to my senses, I could see Eunji crying by my side.

"Eunji" I said breathlessly. "everything is going to be okay."

"Unnie" Eunji sobbed.

"Has someone called for an ambulance yet?" I asked and she looked up at the crowd.

One woman stepped forward and said "They should be here shortly."

I managed a small smile "Thank you." I turned to Eunji and said "See...Everything is going to be fine. The ambulance is on the way." I kept the smile on my face in order to keep her calm, but I knew that things were worse then they appeared.

"We should get you out of the street" the woman who had called the ambulance said.

She stepped forward with a few strong gentlemen and bent down. "Please, don't move me" I insisted.

She looked in my eyes and understood. She waved off the gentlemen and instead, placed her hands on Eunji's shoulders to comfort her. I did my best to keep a smile on my face in order to keep Eunji calm. My vision started to blur and I fought to stay conscious. "Eunji" I called out to her with tears in my eyes.

"Unnie?"

"I don't want you to miss thier debut."

"Unnie!" she sobbed.

"Listen to me. The tickets are in my diary. Also, take my ring with you."

She gently took the ring off my finger and began to cry. The ambuance arrived and the paramedics made their way through the crowd that had gathered. I turned to the woman comforting Eunji and asked "Could you please escort her the the hospital?"

"Which one?" she asked.

"The closest one" I replied.

The woman helped Eunji up and escorted her away from the scene as tears began to flow from my eyes. The paramedics approached me and were about to begin their work when I  spoke up. "Wait one moment."

They paused, looked at one another and then they looked back at me. "We need to start treatment or..."

"I know how serious my condition is." I inturrupted. "I've got pain throughout my body and my vision is fading. I'll probably pass out soon."

"All the more reason, we should hurry" the paramedic said.

"My handphone is in my pocket. My parents' numbers are the first two speed dials. Please call them once we arrive at the hospital." I pleaded.

"Okay" the paramedic replied and I passed out.

At the hospital

"Doctor, we need you in the trama room" the nurse said with urgency.

The doctor rushed out of the office and made his way to the trama area. "What is going on?"

"We have a nineteen year old female who was hit by a vehicle aproximately twenty minuets ago. She was barely conscious when we arrived at the scene."

"She was conscious?" the doctor was shocked. He looked at the young woman lying unconscious before him. "After getting hit by a car?"

"Yes" the paramedic replied. "She stated that she had pain throughout her body and that she was was about to pass out. She told us to call her parents when we arrived at the hospital and then passed out. We were surprised that she had remained conscious for so long. While enroute, her breathing stopped and we were forced to intubate. Her left arm and both legs appear to have fractures. We suspect her hip and ribs may also be broken."

"Thank you" the doctor said as he took over care of the young woman. "We need a full body CAT scan immediately! Prep the Surgical team! She will need a blood transfusion, contact the blood bank and get two units, Stat! We don't have a moment to loose!" he called out orders.

The CAT scan revealed that the young woman was bleeding internally. She had a cerebral hemorraghe and multiple broken bones. Once the results were reported, the surgical team went to work reparing the damage. After a marathon long surgery, the doctors emerged and were confronted by two very shocked parents.

"Where is my Hayoung? Is she okay?" a frantic woman grabbed onto the doctor's sleeve.

"You must be the young woman's parents." The doctor looked over the couple. "She was in critical condition when she arrived, but now she is stable. We have done everything we can. It is up to her now."

"What do you mean?" her father asked, while holding onto his sobbing wife.

"Honestly, she is lucky to be alive. I don't know how she managed to survive the impact. She is currently in a comatose state. We were able to stop the bleeding, but we don't know when or if she will regain consciousness. It could take a couple of days or a couple of years, or she may never wake up."

Her mother fell to the ground and began to cry. "Not my Hayoung! Yeobo!" Her father wrapped his arms around his wife and held her tightly.

Eunji POV

Hayoung was lying on the bed with tubes and wires attached everywhere. "I'm so sorry Unnie" I cried. "I should have listened to you. I promise....I'll do whatever you say from now on."

The days passed by fast and soon it was time for their debut. Hayoung told me to go, but I was still unsure. I went to her room and grabbed her diary. I flipped through the pages until I found the tickets. I was about to rip them up, when I looked at the diary page.

I just got the tickets to Infinite's Debut Stage! XD Eunji is going to be soooo excitied! This is going to be the best day ever! I can't wait!

I cried as I read what she had wrote. She was just as excited as I was to go to the show, but now she wouldn't be able to go because of me. I looked at the ring sitting on my desk and decided that I would go.

The following day, I grabbed Hayoung's ring and went to Infintie's debut.
