Shock

***Elik's POV***

The last few months have flown by. We ended up going to New York to fulfill our promise for a shopping trip. The girls were much more satisfied with the stores in Manhattan than Honolulu. I didn't blame them.

Dek took to college as well as we expected. He complained about the courses the whole time. However, he excelled with perfect grades so far. Now all seven of them are preparing for their first set of college finals. Dek is a little stressed. They all are.

I have Ana on watch. She keeps them full of food and caffeine. When I get home I relieve Ana for the night. I make sure they bathe and sleep. I remember my first year of college. This was going to be a week of hell.

It wasn't until Thursday that things took a shocking turn in a direction no one would see coming.

We are eating dinner around the family dining table. My parents came by to show moral support for all the hard work and dedication it takes to get through college. They understand the sacrifice. My parents had been thru it with me already.

Dek has two exams scheduled for the morning. One was on campus and the other on line. He had completed the other four exams already. He is checking his laptop in the living room when his voice breaks through the air.

"You have got to to be fucking kidding me. Burn in hell. Damn you to Satan's lair you stupid cunt. I hope your children have three eyes. Mother fucker." Dek stomped through the living room and tossed everything in his way out of sight.

"I will burn the school down. I will burn your car. I'm not playing. You messed with the wrong one you cock sucker." The rant continued as all of us stared completely shocked.

"Um, Elik, this is the part where you calm down your man." Broady joked.

"Nah, I'm gonna let Dad take care of this." I passed the proverbial baton.

"Dek, What is it dear?" My mom cautiously enters the living room and begins picking things up as more are being thrown to the floor.

"Do you know what's wrong?" Dek huffs, his foot stomping and his hands on his hips.

"No, I will tell you what is wrong." Dek throws his hands into the air, they land with an audible thud on top of his head.

"I studied. I did every fucking quiz. I did all the damn guides. Every piece of homework. I busted my ass for that man. And, do you know how he repays me?" Dek spits the words like acid on his tongue.

"No." Zaya hides the giggles under her fingers.

"He sends me a God Damn email saying I exempt the mother fucking exam. That he forgot to let me know. I wasted a week studying for my Calculus and Analytics exam." Dek blows his gasket.

His hands are trembling and he is drinking at this point. The brandy slides down the neck of the carafe and lands in the small tumbler. Seconds later the glass is slammed back and he is refilling it.

I really wanted to laugh. Like, really really. He was over reacting. But, as I love the feel of his firm ass rocking in my lap, I was not laughing.

"Baby, he made a mistake." My mom coos and I cringe.

"Dek, pour me a drink. We will toast to that asshole professor." My Dad finally steps in eliciting a smile of vindication from Dek.

Dek hands Dad a drink and mom throws me a knowing look. This will not end well.

"Honey, we are gonna need a spare room." Mom laughs.

"You guys take ours and we will take the theater room." I ease my mom's worries.

"I have never seen Dek like that." Cherry cracks up laughing.

"Shhh he will here you." Chance tries to quiet us down.

"He should be happy. He gets to skip the test." Cali shrugs her shoulders.

"Cali that's like packing your house only to find out you aren't moving at all." Zaya tries to explain it.

"That would suck." Cali giggles.

"I'm not laughing. I thought Dek was going to have a coronary." Yani stands there beside me mirroring my discord.

"Elik." Dad yells out into the air.

"Ah shit! Dad found the patron." I slapped my forehead. This is going to be a long night.

And a long night it was.

Dek and Dad talked everyone, I mean everyone, into drinking.

Mom handles her alcohol like a newborn fawn walking. She is exuberant and shaky on her feet.

The ten of us drank. We drank and drank and then we drank more. Dek was the only one with a test tomorrow. It was online and if I had to, I would take the damn thing myself.

For now, the shockingly scary part of Dek, that I was introduced to, was sated.

That's all that mattered.

We ended up in the game room. Karaoke, pool and darts were partaken in. Dad and Dek sharing a mic is not only awful but, completely hilarious. I have heard Dek sing before, he is pretty good.

My Dad however, could make Whitney Houston sound bad. Dad was just bad. He had a black belt in tone deaf. Helen Keller would probably plead with him to shut up, if she could talk.

Mom lined up shots on the bar and no one complained. We just took every glass she offered. Hours had went by and we were wide open.

I realized shortly before 2 am that I was calling into work tomorrow. Not that it is a big deal, I just am going to hate myself come Monday.

Dek was happy. His earlier agitation was long stored away. That made me immensely happy.

As the night winded down, mom and dad ended up in Zaya's room.  Yani slept with Chance and Zaya ended up in Broady's bed. That's not much different from every other night really.

Dek and I ended up on the beach. We literally fell asleep on the sand dunes. I woke to a blaring headache and a morning sunrise in my eyes. The best part, a stunning man was sleeping across my chest.

"Good morning baby." I coo as I kiss Dek's neck.

"Ouch." Dek whines.

"What hurts?" I roll my eyes as I kiss his forehead. A smile playing on my lips.

Dek squeezes his eyes shut and holds his head.

"Hmmm, I can see a hangover. Let's get inside. I will make you a Bloody Mary." I promise the most beautiful man in the world.

Once in the house, Dek takes the drink I made him and washes down the two Ibuprofen I hand him.

"What are you going to do about your exam today?" I ask Dek.

"I have an hour before it starts. I guess I will power through it." Dek laughs.

"I got a little upset last night. I apologize." Dek confesses.

"Shhh. No worries. We are bound to show our asses some times." I kiss my love on his knuckles as I lift his hand to my lips.

"You are too good to me." Dek whispers. He brings my hand to his cheek and holds me there.

I pull Dek to our room and we take a relaxing shower. He slips into his basketball shorts and heads to his laptop to start his last exam for the semester.

I start making breakfast and am joined by Ana as her morning begins.

"Thank you again, honey." Ana whispers.

"Which car did you get?" I ask.

"CT4." Ana giggles.

"Harold!" We both state. That man loves anything with power.

"What are we cooking?" Ana asks.

"Omelettes, hash browns and bacon." I state.

"Need help?" Ana offers.

"Definitely, my parents are asleep in the other room." I point towards the door.

"Rough night?" Ana asks.

"Dek's professor cancelled his exam. Dek freaked." I laugh at the memory.

"Oh God, did he start threatening the man?" Ana laughs until tears run down her face.

I nod my head yes. "Does this happen a lot?" I ask.

"No, but he can be really funny. Don't laugh though. It gets him more angry." Ana shakes her head in disbelief.

"My Dad offered to drink with him to distract him." I explain.

"That's how Mr. Jackson would handle it, distractions." Ana unveiled a tiny truth that melted my heart.

"He doesn't bring them up enough." I voice my worry.

"Dek is complicated. I'm sure you have figured it out. His world is shaded in only two colors. Yellow or Orange. He is either extremely happy or he is a little upset. You saw Orange last night. That's as bad as it gets. His parent's death was something that could have turned his world black. That's not Dek though. Let him come to you when his little mask slips. Otherwise, just let him wear it. He isn't hurting anyone. I promise, he is happy." Ana made my heart swell.

We make breakfast for eleven. Then we plate the food and I head to the rooms to wake the drunken couples.

What I don't expect, is fornication.

I waltz into Zaya's room thinking that my parents would still be sleeping. That is the farthest thing from reality.

My Dad has my mother face down, ass up. He is fucking her like a virgin at church camp. Her face is shoved into the covers, muffling her moans.

I try to rush out the door but, my dad calls my name.

"Yeah." I croak out the word from my parched lips.

"Be down in a minute." Then he winks.

I am sure I am as Red as a Bing Cherry.

"All done." Dek beams as he grabs his coffee from Ana's hands.

"My eyes." I cry as I throw myself over the island dramatically.

"What are you going on about?" Chance asks.

"My eyes, mom, dad, eyes." I blubber like a child.

"For Fuck Sake." My Dad chuckles.

"Zaya we will get you new sheets." My mom laughs.

"You saw your dad nailing your mom?" Broady cackles.

"Awe babe, don't worry. You will be traumatized forever." Dek giggles as he holds me against his chest.

"I hate you." I cried into the air.

"We see you and Dek almost doing it all the time." Yani giggles.

"Almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades." I spit out playfully.

"I remember when Julia walked in on me and Harold." Ana laughs.

"My Mom?" Dek asks horrified.

"Oh yes, we were getting a quickie in on his lunch break. Julia and Dexter were coming in for lunch themselves. Well, we were in the bathroom and didn't lock the door. Harold was mid stroke when your Mom fainted." Ana shakes her head as she recalls the chilling story.

"At least Elik didn't faint." Mom laughs.

"Lock the door next time." I rolled my eyes.

"There better not be a next time." I clarified.

"There will be." Mom and Dad laugh out.

"Fabulous." I groan and focus on my breakfast.

"I walked in on my mom with her pimp." Zaya busts out. At least three sprays of orange juice met air.

We all looked on as Zaya just let the cat straight out of the bag.

"I would have been more horrified if I hadn't just seen my Dad with the mailman the day before." Zaya shrugs.

"God you had it rough." I cringe.

"I got you guys, it all worked out." Zaya blows us a kiss and I jump up to cover her in affection.

"Always." I promise.

We finish breakfast and get ready. We decide to take Dek's boat out. Yacht. The guy owned a damn yacht. My parents promise to hang with us for the rest of the day. I love them so much.

"Thank you." Dek whispers as we climb onto the boat.

"For?" I question my love.

"Dealing with my mood swings all week." Dek kisses under my chin.

"Keep doing that and my parents might walk in on us." I laugh.

Dek cringes and I guffaw. That would be epic. I imagine the look on Dad's face if he saw me and Dek in the exact same position, priceless I'm sure.
