***Elik's POV***
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
I did not sign up for this shit.
Dek is an evil man. A vile, evil, sexy man.
"Can't we just run around the neighborhood in our birthday suits?" I ask my beautiful love.
"No, you can't. This will teach you to blindly make bets." Dek laughs as I get dressed.
"This is cruel and unusual punishment Deklyn Jackson." I grit out. My fucking crotch is suffocating.
"Elik Exavier, dear sweet, handsome Elik. No one forced you to make a blind wager. Now finish getting ready. We have to leave." Dek rushes me along.
I pull at my tights and wiggle around in the spandex death chamber. My balls are so snuggly packed. I feel like if I sneeze I may lose one, or both.
I straighten my bow and run my fingers thru my hair before turning from the mirror and heading out of our bedroom.
Walking into the living room, a huge burst of laughter bubbles from my stomach and comes out as a snort.
"I thought I had it bad." I wheeze out between guffaws.
Broady shoots me a death glare which makes my sides hurt when the chuckles double me over.
Broady looks ridiculous. He has on bright green spandex leggings and his tunic barely covers half of his ass. His muscles bulge so much that you can practically hear the fabric of the tunic crying out for mercy.
"I love my costume." Zaya cheerfully giggles.
"You are a smoking hot Tinker Bell." Broady kisses Zaya's lips.
Yani comes out dressed in the most gorgeous Snow White costume I have ever seen. Her hair is styled to perfection and her big eyes are highlighted by the rose blush she applied to her cheeks.
Behind Yani, Chance stands, allowing the petite beauty to hide his legs.
"Come on Chance, get it over with. You would rather us laugh now than later." I urge Chance to show off his spectacular Prince Florian costume.
There are no words to describe the way the leggings cling to his muscular thighs. His junk is snuggly wrapped in the white nylon material. He looks like he should be covered in sparkles and dancing on stage during swan lake.
He's decked out in gloves, a royal sash and a fucking red cape.
"This shit is gold." Cherry walks out with her hands covering her mouth. Her face is beat red and her eyes look glassed over with tears.
"It's cute for you to pick on us when you ladies get to dress in ball room gowns. Meanwhile we look like the cast of a Disney reject audition." I bellow out.
"You don't hear me complaining about wearing a dress. And purple is so not my color." Cherry grimaces as she waves her hand over her Ariel dress.
"You still look good." I usher. "Poor Broady looks like he squeezed into a child's size of Peter Pan." I laugh.
"You look like the cast of Robinhood Men in Tights." Broady accuses.
"Dek looks amazing as Prince Charming." Cali walks out dressed as Cinderella. She is absolutely stunning in the baby blue dress with silver accents.
"That's because the little asshole got a costume with slacks. He is making us wear these stupid nut huggers." Broady groans while he adjusts his lime green tights.
"I won the bet. You are the idiots who agreed to let me pick your poison. Drink up suckers." Dek smirks and I want to kick his sexy ass.
"It's for Charity anyways so cool your balls." Cali laughs.
"I would love to cool my fucking balls, Cali. These pants have them in the jaws of death at the moment." Chance argues.
"Welp, time to get going. The kids in the cancer center are going to be so excited." Yani grabs Chance and drags him to the car.
I can't even explain the looks we get from the staff at the hospital. Some look amused, others look delighted that we are playing dress up for the kids who are fighting for their lives.
Staring at the eyes of the sick kids makes me feel bad for complaining. I know it's better to have sweaty balls then their current prognosis.
We walk around greeting the children. Some approach us but, others are too weak to leave their beds. We go to them and spend time talking, learning about their illnesses and asking them their dreams.
It's sad. Kids shouldn't be faced with death at their age. It's a hard pill to swallow as we make our way up and down the halls of the cancer floor at Cedar Sanai Medical Center.
I approach a particularly sick little girl.
"What's your name princess?" I ask of the blue eyed beauty.
"Bella." The sweet child bashfully admits.
"That is a beautiful name for a very pretty little girl." I speak softly.
Bella reaches her hand up and touches my bow and arrow.
"Would you like to hold it?" I offer the precious angel. Her eyes light up and I remove the bow from my shoulder, handing it to the small girl.
"How old are you?" I ask. I pull up a chair and sit beside her bed. She has wires coming from her arm and a visible port at the top of her collarbone.
"Seven." Bella smiles and her hands fiddle with my prop.
"What grade are you in?" I make conversation.
"Second." Bella turns to me and I can tell she's tired. She looks exhausted.
"We don't have to talk. You can just play with the bow, sweetheart." I softly whisper.
"It's okay. I like talking." Bella nods her head as if to say continue.
"Do you have any brothers or sisters?" I ask casually.
"No, I have a puppy. Her name is Daisy. She's my best friend." Bella smiles warmly while she describes the teacup chihuahua at her house.
"I bet she misses her best friend." I smile at the sweet child.
"Yeah, I miss her too. They won't let my mommy and daddy bring Daisy to see me." Bella looks sad again. I feel bad for being up the tiny dog.
"Soon, you can see her I bet." I gently stroke Bella's arm.
"I hope so. It's been a long time." The little girl whispers.
"How long?" I ask. I wonder how long she has been fighting the invisible disease that landed her in this hospital.
"Eight months." Bella tells me. She drops the bow in her lap and holds up eight fingers.
"That is a long time. I'm sorry you have to be here. It must be boring." I ramble my apology.
"Sometimes, yes. But, not today." Bella gives me a movie star smile that melts my fucking heart.
"Why is that?" I ask genuinely.
"Today, my wish came true." Bella whispers while cupping her hands in front of her.
"What wish was that?" I question.
"I wanted to meet my favorite Disney princesses." Bella points to Cinderella aka Cali.
"Has she been by here to talk to you?" I ask.
Bella shakes her head no.
"I will be right back." I whisper to Bella.
I make my way to Cali and grab her attention.
"Come meet Bella. She wished to meet her favorite princess. That's you. Come on." I pull her away from the group of nurses that were talking to her.
"Calm down Elik. Goodness. You are pushy." Cali giggles.
"She's been here for eight months Cali. Eight fucking months. Can you imagine?" I say incredulously.
"She shouldn't have to wait. Sorry." Cali picks up the skirt of her ball gown and heads to where Bella is laying.
"Hello, Bella. My, aren't you gorgeous. I'm Cinderella. Cali does a curtsy and starts talking to my eager patient. Bella smiles at me and I wink at her. I walk away and find someone else to chill with.
"See, I told you it was worth it." Dek sidles up beside me and I turn to look at the ravishing prince.
"Yeah. You were right." I agree completely.
"I just wanted to brighten their day. I know it isn't much, but anything is better than nothing." Dek whispers.
"It was a great idea, baby. I'm glad you brought us." I squeeze Dek's hand and watch our friends bring smiles to the kids faces.
"This might be my favorite punishment ever." Chance comes strolling up. He holds a picture in his hand.
"What's that?" I ask.
"It's a picture. Dylan drew for me." Chance points to a darker skinned boy on the other side of the room. The nurse is changing his fluids and checking his vitals.
"What's he in here for?" Dek asks.
"Leukemia. He's in remission. He told me he goes home soon." Chance beams as he explains.
"That's Bella, talking to Cali." I point to my angel patient.
"Alex is over there." Dek points to a blonde hair little boy who waves when he spots us talking. "Lung cancer. He's waiting on a transplant."
"This is sad." I whisper. "I mean I'm happy to be here but, I don't like the thought of these babies hurting."
"Yeah, the nurse says that most of these kids are terminal. Although, advances are made everyday in the research department. She was explaining how the research is funded. I was wanting to look into donating." Dek tells me.
"I think that's a perfect idea baby. You are amazing." I want to kiss his his perfect lips. My man is a fucking angel.
"Visiting hours aren't almost over. Thank you for coming. The kids have had a great time. You guys are welcome whenever. Just give us a heads up again. We really enjoyed your company." The Charge Nurse announces.
"We will be back." I whole heartedly promise. I wouldn't miss this for the world.
We say our goodbyes and head back to the parking lot.
"Next time you can wear pants." Dek laughs.
"Thank you." Broady chuckles.
"Dek this was brilliant. Seriously. I'm glad we lost the bet." Chance admits while staring down at his superhero picture.
"I just can't believe so many kids are diagnosed with cancer. It's really sad. I'm so glad I am going to be a nurse. I hope I get my rotations on that floor. Those kids really touched me. Did you guys see the 3 year old? I really thought my heart may break into two complete pieces." Yani sounds as though tears are building behind her big eyes.
"Yani, you are going to be a wonderful nurse. We can't take cancer from the world. It's our jobs to bring happiness to the ones forced to suffer. Just don't let it get to you sweetheart." Dek whispers as he turns and rubs his hand over Yani's petite hand.
"I know. I just wasn't really expecting what I saw. I'm really glad you set this all up Dek. It was a wonderful afternoon." Yani sniffles and I know that she let the tears leak.
I know how she feels. I wanted nothing more than to hold precious Bella in my arms. I wish I could take all her pain. I don't love the fact that I can't. Truth be told, the doctors are doing all they can. I can't even imagine how they must feel when they are faced with telling a family something like your child has a terminal illness. My heart aches at the thought.
"Hey Uncle Ian." Dek gets on his phone.
"Yeah, I'm great. Can we get some kind of donation going to the cancer center? Yeah, Cedars. We are on our way back from there. We were visiting the kids. Thanks. I just want to do what we can. I love you too. Talk soon." Dek's side of the conversation seems pretty apparent. He is going to follow through with his promise, as always.
"I love you baby. You have a fucking heart of gold." I pull my baby towards me at the traffic light and kiss his sexy face.
"I love you. Thanks everyone this has been amazing." Dek turns to our friends and smiles his killer smile.
"Dek, you can pick our wager whenever you like. That was fucking awesome." Broady beams.
"I hoped you wouldn't be too mad." Dek laughs.
"I will suffer through skunk junk any day for that." Chance chuckles.
"Dude, that's so disgusting." Cherry laughs.
"I know. But, seriously, I can't wait to strip these ball cuddlers." Chance breathes out a sigh.
"We're home." I shout.
I have never jumped out of a vehicle so fast in my life. Running in tights, by the way, not the easiest thing to do. I run up the stairs and struggle out of the constricting pants as quickly as possible.
I swear my balls sang a joyful tune as they happily descend from my throat.
