Chapter 29: The Real Parents

Ahana's POV

Two days passed, I took her to the hospital for a check-up. The doctor removed the bandage and the stitches dissolved. The technology is advanced, I had a sigh of relief seeing it.

After that, I asked "ice-cream??"

Manvi nodded in yes. I took her to the ice cream parlour and she picked her choice of ice cream. She ate it childishly and I smiled seeing it.

She coughed a bit, and I rubbed her back "slow and steady"

She eyed me with a light smile curved on her lips. Today, she seemed to be in a good mood.

I asked in a soft tone "is someone troubling you in college?"

"It doesn't matter.." she replied and moved out of the parlour. I sighed and maintained my calmness.

We reached home, the house was completely silent. This is unusual, everyone was present and talking to each other in groups.

The scenario seemed suspicious to me, a voice reached my ear "Manvi..."

I turned and found a boy in his 20s approaching Manvi. He held her hand and said "As I promised... I found them"

I was confused hearing him. Whom did he find? Who is he? I had never seen him before. Many questions raised in my mind but no answers.

"Manvi beta...."

I looked behind him and found a lady along with a man standing beside her. I tried hard to recognise them, and after a few minutes, their images became crystal clear in my mind. I was just shocked to find them inside the house.

I shouted, "What the hell are you both doing here??"

They glanced at me and then moved to Manvi. The lady touched her face and started shedding tears. She kissed all over her face, raising my anger.

I eyed everyone why the hell they let these bastards enter the premises.

Manvi eyed at her mother, yes the lady who gave birth to her and who was standing helplessly shedding tears at the corner when her husband was burying her alive 18 years back.

"You don't know how I lived without you please come back home with me," she said in a pleading tone.

"Why did you leave me then?" Manvi questioned.

"It was all my fault, your mother never wanted to abandon you.." her real father spoke, folding his hands in front of her. Tears of guilt, shame was present in his eyes but all this seemed fake to me.

"I want to correct the mistake I made 18 years back.. Please come back with us to the world where you truly belong.." he requested her.

Her friend interrupted "Manvi.. You should go with your parents.. After this college students won't trouble you. You can make new friends, take part in all the activities, and show your talent.. Your life will be normal"

It took me time but I understood everything, they are trying to emotionally blackmail her, manipulate her mind.

I moved forward and pushed them "Stay away.. How the hell did you enter our house??" I shouted at them.

"Ahanaji.. We just came to take back our daughter.. Please like 15 years back don't send us empty-handed" the mother requested.

"Shut Up! She is not going anywhere! You tried to bury her alive 18 years back, I saved her. She is my daughter you have no rights on her" I exclaimed in a firm tone and pointed my index finger towards them.

Manvi questioned, "you came to take me 15 years back?"

"Yes.. but she didn't let us take you back.. Because she was selfish!" Mother, her name was Kutumb Sharma.

"Just shut up! Stop manipulating my daughter! Get out" I shouted at them.

"We won't go! Because of your carelessness, she had an accident at school! That student pushed her because of you! She wanted to study in that biggest institute in Mumbai, but you didn't even try to get her admission. If you were her real mother you would have done something!" Inder Sharma, her father spoke.

I was just shocked hearing him, all these are going to turn her against me.

"And this attack was because of you!.." Kutumb said, placing her hand on Manvi.

I had enough of their nonsense.. "Leave.. Before I call the cops!" I said in a calm but yet angry tone.

They didn't move an inch, I held her hand and started to pull her but stopped with Manvi's voice which shocked me. "No.. Ahana..."

I turned, Manvi approached me and said "they are not going alone.. I am leaving with them!"

I was stunned at my place hearing her, I just couldn't believe my ears. The floor underneath me shaken, her words pinched my heart like a needle.

"What??" I uttered..

"Yes.. you heard me right! Miss Ahana.." she said and smiled sarcastically..

"Miss or mister? I don't know what to say.." I was hurt by this..

"Manvi...." GuruMaa shouted at her.. "How dare you speak this way to her!"

"Because of her I have to face humiliation everywhere! Everyone taunts me with this! They even doubt me..." she raged..

I held her arm and said "Mannu.. Listen I know.. Things are not happening as we planned but I will make them better.. Sort out your issues" I tried to explain to her.

She jerked my hand away and shouted "no! No! No! I hate you! I can't bear anymore.. This" she pointed towards the stitches on her forehead..

"It is because of you! Aapne kaha tha meri duniya ke insaan bure hai.. Aur aapki duniya ke log bhi ache nahi hai! (you told me my world people are insane but your world people are the same too!") she spoke with tears brimming down her eyes.

"That transgender lady refused to help me! Saying I don't respect them.. She didn't even listen to me once! Nisha maasi never loved me.. Here many don't like my presence.. I feel suffocated here.." I was just taken back by her sorrowful words.

She was filled with so much hatred towards me and my people. She was never like this before, she had been badly manipulated. Circumstances were against me, I have to stop here because these people are not worthy of trust.

"What about the sacrifices Ahana made for you?" Sneha questioned.

"What kind of sacrifices are you talking about? Did she heard that I am a "transgender child" no?? I face everything! All the humiliation since childhood! I never had a normal life.. That every girl of my age has" I shouted at her.

I cupped her face and tears brimmed down my eyes "mannu! We are happy together right?? Why do you have to listen to others?? Our relationship is different! I am your mother.. You can't leave me and go like this" I tried to convince her.

"No... I don't want another attack on me! I want a normal happy life that I will only get with my real parents, not you!" she said looking straight into my eyes, I noticed the hatred for me in her eyes.

"Mannu.." I said but she stepped back..

"How can you trust them? You don't even know them! 18 years back they abandoned you!" I shouted at her..

"But, they did come to take me back right?? You didn't let me go.. I hate you! And never coming back here.." she said in a stubborn tone.

Arijit said.. "Let's go Manvi.. I promise once our college will be over I will take care of you always"

Manvi smiled at him, this man had easily manipulated her by taking advantage of her situations. She moved out with the trio, I held back her wrist and looked at her emotionally with a hope that she would stay for my sake.

"I will die.. Without you" I said in a broken tone..

"And I will die living with you!" she spoke and I left her hand immediately.

To be continued......
