Ahana's POV

I was at the finance department with Manvi, the lady asked how I want to make payment. She spoke in English which I barely understood. Manvi asked, "Mumma do you want to make a cash payment or credit card?"

"Bank transfer" I replied.

Manvi gave me a look, I asked to tell her. She did, the person asked for the bank details. Manvi knew about it, so she gave her the details. The transfer was done and she gave the receipt.

We moved out and she questioned me "how did you arrange it?"

"You just focus on your studies okay.." I said with a smile. She nodded and hugged me tightly.

We headed towards home after Manvi collected her books and required stuff. I smiled at seeing her, she was on top of the world. She was super excited to start college and I prayed to god her happiness remains intact.

She snipped her finger in front of me and asked "what happened?"

I denied, as soon as we reached home. Manvi excitedly shouted for everyone "Nani.. maasi, chutki everyone come out"

All came out and Manvi showed them her books. Gurumaa came to me and smiled "You did it.. But did you tell her about how you arranged the remaining 5 lakh?"

I denied "no... don't worry I will settle this on time"

Gurumaa smiled at her.

The next morning, it was 8 am. Manvi was still sleeping hugging her teddy bear tightly. I moved to her and caressed her head "wake up! It is the first day of college and I hope you don't want to get late"

She moved and wrapped her arms around my waist "I wanna sleep more"

"Lazy girl! You will get late! Utho jaldi se" I nearly scolded her, but she hardly moved even an inch.

I sighed in disappointment, her habits are never going to change. I shouted "Mannu utho otherwise I am going to throw the water on you"

But, she didn't react. Just then Sneha entered inside with a bucket of water in her hand, I smiled at her and she threw the water directly on her face after I stepped back.

She woke up with a jerk and started rubbing her eyes. She shouted "itna thanda pani (such cold water"

"I warned you baby," I said with a smile on my face.

Manvi frowned "this is not fair! Huh everyone is Hitler" she ran into the bathroom and I laughed hearing her.

After 15 minutes, I heard her scream "Mumma towel"

I tapped my forehead "this girl is too much" I took the towel and moved towards the bathroom.

The ladies were standing in the queue. "This girl takes forever to take a bath," one of them said.

Manvi shouted from inside "Maasi, I need time"

"but we are also in queue stop playing in water" she scolded Manvi.

Manvi laughed as she love to tease and trouble everyone around. It is her childhood habit and I guess it's never going to change no matter how old she grows.

I knocked on the door, she opened the door and took the towel.

"you always forget to take towel" I commented.

"it's not my fault okay.. You only threw water on me huh" she argued and I sighed...

I then headed towards the kitchen. I packed her lunchbox and filled the water bottle.

Nisha taunted "you will regret Ahana, for her you risked our lives.."

I gave her a look and said "shut the hell up Nisha, last time I am warning you don't ever raise fingers on my upbringing. I trust my daughter she will never leave me and go understand"

Nisha smiled "We will see.."

I ignored her and moved out. She was keeping her books inside the new bag, I gave her the tiffin and bottle. She thanked me "mumma.. I will see you in the evening.." she kissed my cheeks and was about to leave but I stopped her.

She gave me a look "what??"

"I am coming to drop you, you are not going alone," I told her, as I was concerned for her safety.

Manvi sighed "Mumma, you are going to school and I can manage, I have grown up.. Bye" she rushed out without listening to me further.

I smiled and got ready to leave for school. I hoped she would have a great day at college.

Manvi's POV

I took the auto and reached the college within half an hour. I got down and saw many people staring at me. I felt a bit nervous but then took a deep breath "mannu.. Relax its new day, a new beginning"

I headed inside and checked the timetable. I tried to locate the classroom but couldn't find it. I sighed "this is college is so big, where the hell is this room 304"

I stopped the student walking and asked "Excuse me where is room 304"

She told me and I moved towards the classroom. I reached there in 5 minutes and went inside. I grabbed the desk beside a girl. I smiled at her, she smiled back.

The lecturer entered inside and glanced at everyone "Good morning students, so today new admissions are going to introduce themselves and tell us about their family"

Hearing that, I got nervous. Everyone began introducing themselves and it was my turn now. I stood up and said "My name is Manvi.. Manvi Ahana"

"Manvi Ahana?" he asked.

"Ahana is my mother's name," I said.

"Interesting.. Sit down" he said and I sat down. The girl asked me about my father but I made up the story.

So far, everything was going smoothly. I headed towards the canteen and a few seniors blocked my way.

She looked at me from head to toe, I was nervously holding my book tightly.

"New admission haan? What's your name?" she asked.

"Manvi" I replied.

Someone touched my hair from behind, I jerked away and said "hey....."

"Lower your voice.. Manvi Ahana right? Teri toh maa hi baap hai.. Kinnar ki beti" the senior said leaving me shocked. How the hell did she find out about this??

"Saw you with your transgender mother yesterday.. Listen you don't belong here understand" she shouted at me.

I sighed and gave her a look "Why? Studying is my right.." I answered her and left from there giving her a light push to which she fell down.

I sighed, my mother's identity again became an obstacle in my life. I smiled and went back home as classes were over.

I reached home within an hour because of heavy traffic on the road. As soon as I reached, Ahana questioned me "how was your day?"

I smiled at her and replied "it was good mumma.. Everything was different and new I enjoyed a lot"

"Great, go and freshen up I will make some snacks for you," Ahana said, I agreed and went straight to the room. I was disturbed, I hope that senior doesn't trouble me more.

Ahana came into the room with milk and some snacks, I had it.

The next day, I went to college and was left totally shocked by the scenario in front of me.
