Genesis's POV
I sit on the end of my queen sized bed and look around my new room. Empty boxes cover most of the floor. I'd finally finished unpacking and I must say I did a good job. Maybe I should quit the assassin job and become a designer. Well, at least I have something to fall back on in case my current 'job' falls through.
Shaking the thought from my head, I survey my work. Underneath one of the windows in the room sits a wooden desk that has notebooks and normals books sitting on top as I had no room for them on my two large oak bookcases, that sit beside my desk lined up nicely. There's some double doors in the far wall that open up onto a small balcony that has a seat where I know I'll be reading when I can't sleep. Not far from the bookcase is my bed. The headboard is touching the back wall and is close enough to the bookcase that if I feel like reading I can just reach out and grab a book without having to get out of my nice warm bed.
What? I'm lazy okay?
Anyway in the opposite corner of my room is a full-length mirror along with a double doored wardrobe. It holds all of my clothes from skinny jeans to skimpy skirts that I never wear. My favorite leather jackets also sit in there along with my crop tops. I don't own many clothes though because I don't need a different outfit for every day of the year.
There are also a couple of meaningless photos of landscapes and other things to give the simple and plain room a dash of color.
Yawning I slowly making my way downstairs to the kitchen, make my self a big cup of coffee hoping to wake me up a little.
The kitchen has dark brown cabinets with two double doors. To the right, below the cabinet doors is the sink, there are generally dirty dishes in the sink just begging to be washed but because I'm too lazy I'll end up waiting till there's mold probably growing on it and then I'll just throw them out and buy more. The sink is surrounded by a brand new stove to the left and a dish rack to the right.
My favorite object in the house, the fridge is located about 10 inches in front of the dish rack and stands next to the microwave rack, which houses a black microwave and a biscuit coloured conventional oven. Right in front of the rack is a six chair, black island with gold trimmings.
Slowly sipping my coffee, I scroll through my phone to see if I have any new messages. When I see one from Crystal, my best friend one of two people I consider family and who knows my secret.
Crystal: Hey girl, we're all unpacked and settled. This place is gorgeous by the way we can't tell you how much this means to us. your amazing xx
Me: Criss you know how much you and Saph mean to me. You guys deserve to be happy. So don't mention it again. xx
Crystal: Aye, aye Captain. So are you ready for school tomoz?
Groaning aloud I bang my head on the kitchen island. I hate school. I don't even need to go because I already have my diploma as well as a degree in engineering and phycology. The only reason I'm going is because Sapphire (my other best friend and Crystals twin sister) and Crystal said I needed to have at least one 'normal' thing in my life.
I'm a fucking assassin, nothing in my life is normal. I wouldn't even consider the word in my vocabulary.
Picking up my phone, I reply.
Me: Do I have to go? Can't you too just go and write me a report or something about how it went and I'll add it to my reading list?
Crystal: Yes you do have to go and you and I both know your reading list is like a thousand books long XD
Me: Very true but seriously remind me why I said yes to you?
Crystal: Because you love us and not all of us are as smart as a rocket science and actually have to have things taught to them.
Rolling my eyes I smile.
Me: I am not a rocket scientist but I guess your right not all of you can be as smart and fabulous as me.
Crystal: We are talking about you right?
Me: Whatever and yes I'll be there don't worry.
Crystal: Okay hon, I'll c u tomoz. Don't be late, I know how you are.
Me: I'm never late I don't know what your on about ;) Night Crys tell Saph I 'll see her tomorrow. Xx
Crissie: Will do. love ya.
Me: Me too, bye.
I place my phone back on the table and down the rest of my coffee. I know it was rude not to tell her I loved her back but I have issues saying that. The people I love usually end up dead so I keep all relationships at an arms length even if its the two most important people in the world to me.
Sighing. I tie my hair up into a messy bun on top of my head and grab my lap top heading back upstairs. I put my lap top on top of my bed and hurriedly walk over to my desk.
Crouching, I lift up a loose floor board and take out my 'work' phone to see If I have any notifications. I take note of any changes in the people I've recently been checking out and then put the phone back.
Seeing nothing that important, I strip down to my under-garments and put on an over-sized t-shirt before slipping into my sheets. once I'm comfy I drag my laptop over and power it on.
I still have some research to do on Blue River High School. It's a private school in Bakersfield, California. Its a smallish school but that's understandable since the town is average size. I almost punched my best friend when she said she and Crystal had enrolled there.
There nothing wrong with the school it's self just the people. A bunch of snobby rich kids who don't understand what reality is. All they do is spend there money on useless things. Others spend it to hurt others and that's just something I hate. The rich believe they are above everyone else, they believe they can just snap there fingers and everyone will fall at their feet.
Ugh I feel sick just thinking about it.
After a few hours of research I know most of the students in the school, I know information about them and their families, I also have information on the teachers and any staff working there. if you haven't figured it out yes I like to be prepared and I hate surprises.
Sapphire says I live by the five w's; Who, what, when, where and why. To be honest I cant really disagree because it's true.
At around 11 I close my laptop and lay back , pulling the covers to my chin. I close my eyes and let the darkness consume me knowing I'm only going to get a few hours of sleep.
