FIVE

Genesis's POV

After I drop Crystal and Saph off I go home. I take off my denim shorts and red t-shirt and swap them for skinny jeans and a hoodie that hides my figure, I don't really need people linking me to the school. I also grab a pair of basketball shorts for later and put them in a bag I plan on taking with me.

I then straighten my long raven hair and put a head band on my wrist so I can tie it up later.

I then dig through a box I haven't opened in a long time until I find a pitch-black mask. On the back of the mask there's a little inscription that reads:

When you need to blend into the darkness
Always, H x

I feel a tear fall down my cheek as I run my fingers across the golden words. I quickly swipe the lone tear away knowing that he doesn't deserve my tears. I place the lid back on the box, not looking at anything else in it before shoving it in the secret compartment I have in the bottom of my wardrobe.

I put the mask in my hoodie pocket and jog down the stairs. Right as I'm fixing myself a bowl of chocolate ice cream, I get a text from Crystal that she and Sapphire will meet me there a little later but wouldn't be staying long.

I really didn't want them to come because I know there will be some pretty bad people here tonight so I don't want them getting hurt. I've taught them some pretty basic self-defence moves and Crystal can almost pull off a roundhouse kick but basic moves like that won't protect them in a gun fight or against a skilled fighter.

Since I still have about 4 hours until I have to leave, I sit down and watch the final season of Pretty little liars on Netflix. I had been putting it off for so long because I was honestly my favourite show and I never wanted it to end. After a couple episode, I decide to go to my basement and get a little training in.

I punch and kick at my punching bag a few times trying not to go full force because last time I did that I knocked the punching bag of its chains.

After about an hour and a half of that, I head to my front door and pull my leather jacket on shoving my hoodie and mask in my bag. I put on some combat boots.

After that I use the down stairs bathroom to apply my signature Ruby Red lipstick, then add a little mascara. I sprint to the door knowing I'm running a little late.

When am I never?

Since I know I'm driving alone, I take my favourite ride, my custom blue motorcycle.

Since I'm running late I speed down the road. My black hair whips around my face as I drift around corners and accelerate on straight and quiet streets.

Luckily my helmet blocks my hair from getting in my eyes, preventing me making a nice Genesis pancake on the side of the road.

About 5 minutes from my destination I notice a black and red Chiron Bugatti drive up next to me. As I look inside the car I see the three people I hate the most in this world at the moment.

The three walking bulldozers.

What were their names again? The ginger one is Cake or Hake? One of them. The blonde haired one's name rhymes with Leyson, I think. What is it Dayson? No that's not it, Maybe it's Kleyson? Nope that's not it either. And what about the cold-hearted jerk. What was his name? Was is Throne? No definitely not. How about Corn? No. Hey, maybe it's porn? Nope, no nopety nope. I hardly doubt his name is Porn. Well you never know.

I'm putting way too much effort into this. I shake myself from my thought and go back to studying the porn guy in the front seat. I must admit he has a gorgeous car, not as nice as mine of course but it's a close second.

When the guy looks up and sees me staring at him he smirks and winks at me.

Arrogant much?

"Like what you see?" He shouts over the roaring of my engine. I flick up my visor knowing he won't recognize me in the dark, with my helmet on.

"Yep I'm enjoying the view. I'm looking at a real beauty." I admit.

His smirk widens.

"But I feel sorry for you. Its ugly, too hot-headed and looks too fake." I tut. His smirk drops and his face is now blank of any kind of emotion. He looks empty. Is that what I look like when I where the mask I've spent years trying to build?

"Hey, don't talk about my car like that. She perfect." He declares, rubbing the dashboard.

I smirk and wink at him, "Who says I was talking about the car?" I rev my engine and look at the traffic light that are just turning amber. I look back at the boys who were all staring at me.

"Estaba hablando de su dueño." (I was talking about the owner.) I quickly speed off and they quickly follow behind. I take a sharp left turn cutting them off as I go into the nearest ally so they can no longer follow me.

I take another right and drive into the old warehouses, that are now known as the vaults.

Once I park my bike, I hop off it and take my helmet off. I run my fingers through my hair once or twice. Before grabbing my bag, I shift through it until I find my hoodie that's several sizes too big for me. I swap it for my leather jacket and pull my hood up so I'm hidden in the darkness of the hood. I swing my bag over my shoulder and walk over to the bouncer.

He looks me up and down before raising an eyebrow slightly. He is a 6'4" monster, packed with pure muscle he had a long beard and his eyebrows look like furry caterpillars.

"Are you lost?" He asks.

I roll my eyes. God, I can feel the sexism rolling off him. "No, I'm here to fight."

He laughs at my response, clutching his clipboard to his chest.

"Oh, sweetie do you have some brain damage or are you just that stupid?" He asks. I cross my arms over my chest and glare at him.

I know I don't look like much with my 5'8" and my slim figure but I am still the equivalent of the guys that come here. I've been fighting since I was six so I have over 11 years of experience.

I give the guy a once over, silently assessing him. I can see he has gun tucked into his pants and he also has a blade of some sort in his boot. I can just make out the stack of hundreds he has in his front pocket and I smirk to myself when I get an idea.

"Okay how about you just let me in and if I beat the champion in this place you leave me alone and whenever I come here you don't give me any hassle when I come."

"And if you get the shit beaten out of you, what do I get?" he asks looking over my body with a glint in his eye.

I suppress a shiver and grimace beneath my hood. "I'll give you four grand." I smirk at his lack of response. I knew I had him, he was a gold digger. For the right price, he'd agree to anything. I didn't have four grand on me however, because I didn't need it. There was no way I was losing a fight.

I'd only lost a fight once and that was because I was unfocused. Never again.

"And I want you." He finishes, taking me by surprise. He steps forward and puts one hand on my waist. I clench my fists trying to stop myself from pulling it out of its socket.

"Deal." I grind my teeth and he removes his filthy hands reluctantly.

"Well I'll guess we'll see how strong you really are. I hope you don't end up crying to mommy at the end of tonight."

This guy need to change his name to dick because it suits him much better than whatever his actual name is.

"There no chance of that happening anytime soon." I reply because it's true since she's dead.

He lets me in. "Go behind the bar, the guy there'll get you a fight." The disgusting guy shouts behind me.

I quickly hurry away from him and take a seat at the bar. I keep my hood up but play with my pony tail while I wait for the bartender to finish serving a customer.

The place is quite big there's a raised platform in the center which I'm guessing is the ring and hundreds of people surrounding it. The bar is built into the wall and it stretches all around the back wall. Large loud chants scream throughout the large warehouse.

"What can I get you sir?" I look up and a man about 6'1" stands in front of me. He's quite cute with a strong jawline and short cropped hair. He looks as if to be in his earlier 20's.

I don't say anything for a while thinking he's talking to someone else since he said sir and obviously I'm not a guy.

"Sir?" I glance at him and see he's staring at me. I raise an eyebrow confused for a few seconds before I realize my face and body is concealed so it looks like I'm a guy. I shake my head and try and make my voice sound low. "I'm here to sign up."

He gives me a once over before reluctantly picking up the signup sheet. "Ugh sure I guess. Name?"

"The Executioner." I speak keeping my voice low. I think it's kind of fitting, don't you?

"Okay anyone you want to fight tonight or is it just anybody?"

"Your best fighter." I say. I glare at him from beneath my hood when his eyes widen and he looks as if he's about to say something. When he doesn't I speak up, "If you have something to say, say it."

"It's just out Champion is the best fighter around here and since well...um...your like...you, it might be better if you fight someone different."

I clench my fists but tell myself to save it for the fight. "You shouldn't judge a book by its cover because once you open it you'll be pretty shocked to see its nothing like you thought" I jump off the seat and head to the changing rooms.

Checking no ones in there I lock the door and take my clothes out. I pull my hoodie off and change into basketball shorts and a t-shirt, putting my hoodie back on. I then tie my hair up into a pony tail and tuck it into the back of my hood. I take of my combat boots and replace them with tennis shoes.

I pick up the black mask and just stare at it for a while. I haven't worn this in years. I haven't wanted to, too many memories that need to burn. Sighing, I flip it over and slowly bring it up to my face. I tie it on and cringe when every memory comes flooding back. I slam up my walls stopping them form resurfacing and hurry to get to the arena.

I have a sudden need to punch something. Hard.

When I get to the front, I analyse the fighters in the ring. I'm slightly taken aback when I see the ginger walking skyscraper in the ring with a busted lip and a slightly wonky nose. I smile remembering earlier today. I look around and see his friends, what are their names again.

Jake, Mason and Thorn!

I do a mini inner victory dance.

I see Mason and Thorn quite close to me but all their attention is focused on their friend. I glance back at the ring. Jake gives his opponent a right hook and his opponent returns it with a round house kick to his torso. A very weak round house kick might I say.

Jake seems more experienced in fighting compared this opponent as Jake skillfully dodges a punch and kicks the guys feet from under him making him fall and hurt his back. Jake is on top of him immediately punching his face.

The guy on the floor raises his right hand meaning he just gave in. The referee rings the bells and Jake jumps off him "And the winner is Slash." Jake walks off smiling and then gives his friends one of those guy hug things as they congratulate him.

"Our next fighter is a newbie." There are a few groans and yells come from the crowd. And to think I thought I would be welcomed with open arms and a throne.

Guess not.

"As I was saying our next fight is between the newbie, The Executioner and our champion Sledge!" I heard a couple people behind me say that there was no way I even had a chance. I scoffed. There's no way he'll have a chance.

I go up in the ring and the cheering and the chants stop, as they stare at me probably because I'm small compared to the other guy I'll be fighting. I roll my eyes at them. I face my opponent and I'm shocked to see it's Mason. I'm fighting Mason! But he's so quiet and nice, ish.

He smirks at me as I compose myself. He looks as if he's silently analyzing me.

God, he better not be one of those guys that'll go easy on my because I'm a girl.
Well I guess he can't really tell can he?

"Sorry no hoods dude." Mason shouts. I bite my lip and glance at the ref. I really didn't want to take my hood off because it'll show I'm a girl. He nods his head agreeing with Mason and gives me an apologetic look.

Slowly I peel my hoodie off and everyone gasps. My long black hair hangs in a ponytail down my back as I pull it, tightening it. I'm fortunate for the mask and silently thank myself for remembering it.

The whole warehouse is completely silent as I throw my jumper in the corner. Everyone stares at me. I know my scars are on show. The little cuts here and there are minor but there's also a lot of bullet wounds along with knife slashes that stand out pretty well but the one that Mason stares at is the large burn on my forearm. It stretches from the top of my wrist to just below my elbow.

Mason looks at me and then glances at his own hands which have been wrapped for the fight. He clenches his fist and gives me a look that I can only decipher as understanding.

I fold my arms across my chest hiding most of the scars from view and look at the referee expectedly. It's not that I'm self-conscious, okay maybe I am a little self-conscious about my burn but other than that my other scars are just battle wounds.

"She's a girl I can't fight her!" Mason yells startling me slightly. I didn't think he had a voice.

Okay now he has just pissed me off even more. Sexist dick. I give him the glare that would send Hitler to cower in fear. "What afraid to lose to a girl?" I say.

"No, it's just that girls can't fight. I refuse to hit a fucking girl."

"Okay calm down, both of you!" the Referee says. "Sledge your here to fight so fight. It doesn't matter if she's a girl there's no rules against it but if you want to back out do it but it means you forfeit and she wins by default." He continues.

When he says that Masons jaw tightens and his fists clench. He looks at war with himself. Getting bored because I really need to fight I interrupt his thought. "Just fucking fight, me already. I'm starting to get pissed."

"But you're a girl- you know what fine you want to fight let's fight, but don't go running of crying when you get dragged out of the ring unconscious." He says to me.

I just shake my head and chuckle at his cockiness. It will no help him in this fight. This fight is all about skill. At the moment, I am extremely pissed off but I don't show it, I never do. I don't let my emotions control me, they only lead to mistakes.

Once the bell dings signalling us to start, I circle him looking for any weaknesses. After a few seconds, I see him putting more weight on his right foot maybe indicating an old injury. I use that to my advantage taking him by surprise I instantly attack, doing a fake punch to his stomach and then a kick to his left knee.

He falls to the ground with a thud and yells in agony. I smirk at how easy it was to take him down. The entire crowd is silent with anticipation as he shoots up but limping slightly.

Damn he looks pissed. I think I may of hurt his ego as well as his leg.

He starts throwing punches left and right. I dodged most of them but he manged to land a hard strike to my abdomen. I ignore it, the adrenaline causing me not to feel it. He looks shocked that I'm not affected and I use his shock to give him a surprise uppercut with my right and then punched him in the stomach with my left.

He retaliated by kicking me hard in the thigh sending me flying to the ground. He tries to jump on top of me while I'm down but I rolled out of the way and got on top of him. I continued to punch him wherever I landed a hit and after about 30 seconds he finally manged to push me off him.

He stood slowly looking seconds from being knocked out. I stood as well and just watched him stumble. Tired and bored I do a flying roundhouse kick to his jaw and he goes flying to the floor.

Not knocked out completely, I sigh and jump down so I'm near his ear. He instantly tenses and I could hear his breathe becoming labored.

I nibbled his ear and then whispered, "Next time don't underestimate me." I jumped up and looked down at him. His friends had climbed into the ring to help him, they all stared at me.

And to think he thought I was the one going to be dragged out of the ring unconscious. I chuckle at the irony. I blew them a kiss as I went to collect my money.

Before I left the platform, I spun around and stared at the crowd. "Next time someone wants to judge me for being a girl l, I won't be so nice." I grab my hoodie and throw it in before making my way to the changing rooms.

I push my way though the crowd with my bag and money. I'm back in my skinny jeans and hoodie as well as my combat boots. I get a few curious glances and hear a lot of new rumors about me. Nothing new there then.

When I reach the bar I see my two favorite people. Sapphire and Crystal are both still staring at the arena grinning like maniacs.

"So from those stupid grins on your face I'm guessing you liked that?" Both their heads snap to me and they jump up and hug me.

"That was amazing. You kicked Masons butt." Sapphire squeals. She squeals, it's like my best friend has turned into a 13 year old girl.

"You could have kicked it a little less. I mean have you seen his ass, it's a nice ass." Crystal moans once she releases me.

"Aww has someone got a crush on the brooding blonde boy?" I mock.

"Shut up." She murmurs as she finishes off her cocktail.

I sit next to them at the bar. "So how long have you guys been here?" I ask.

"Just since you were telling him and I quote 'to fucking fight you'." We all laugh.

"I thought you were going to keep your identity a secret though?" Sapphire asked as the bartender took their glasses.

"I tried but apparently they have a no hood rule. Thank god they let me have my mask though. Otherwise I would most likely be having  a long interrogation with the walking bulldozers." I brush away random star ands of loose hair away from my face. Sapphire and Crystal both sigh and give me soft smiles.

"Well at least everything turned out okay. But seriously did you really have to be so dramatic about the whole underestimating you thing?" Crystal asks raising an eyebrow.

"You do know me right?" I inquire letting a little sarcasm leak into my tone.

"You have a point." I smile at her and she grins in return. Sapphire yawns and that triggers Crystal to yawn as well.

"I think we're gonna go. Are you coming?" Crystal asks.

"No I still need info for work and this is my last resort. Don't worry though you guys go ahead and I'll text you when I'm home." I stand up and put my bag on my shoulder. Crystal searches in her purse for money for the drinks but I place a fifty in front of the bartender and shoo her off.

"You really didn't -"

"Yes I did now go and sleep." They hug me once more and then they leave.

I slip into the crowns in a hunt for more information on this notorious gang leader.
