28. Game of Fate
"Game of fate?" He laughed, "How can some silly game of fate curse me to stay with you forever?"
I looked up instantly trying to figure out what he meant. "Force you to stay with me?"
"You have been crying over this for I don't know how long and now you're asking me?" He twitched his brows. "You're really stupid, Mrs. Martin."
"Wait, what? First of all, I'm not Mrs. Martin," I said standing up, "second of all, I'm crying over the fact that I'm never going to be able to be with my ocean again and third," I breathed, "over the fact that I've ruined my sister's relationship unknowingly. Which one of these facts forces you to stay with me?"
"The fact where you ruined your sister's marriage?" He ran his fingers through his hair. "Besides, according to my family traditions, divorces are not allowed, so even if you and I are stuck together, Noah and Miael can't get separated either, unless they want to."
I grabbed his collar all of a sudden in shock, anger, anxiousness and what not pushing him to the wall behind him, "what do you mean? How am I stuck with you?"
"What is wrong with you, Renaldi?" He didn't defend my actions, just the words, "this is what we have been talking about all this while. Attorney Pascal called me a few days back, he wanted me to collect our marriage certificate, not Noah and Miael's. You were in the camp so I couldn't reach you."
"I'm married to you." It came out as a conclusion instead of a question.
"Who else you think fate would use to mess up with you?" He slowly freed his collar from my grip. "Is it really that unbelievable for you?"
My throat went dry, yet forcing my voice out I tried to answer him, "how did this happen? Someone can get confused between me and Miael, I understand but how come it happened with you and Noah? What the hell happened that day?"
"For now, all we know is we got married that day and we have managed to not let that fact affect us for 2 years unknowingly so I think it won't be a problem anymore." He brushed his hair from his face.
Jade Martin, you're so dead!
"Do you know there are some papers that hold the power to tie us with each other for eternity because my Dad's new business and your Dad's new shares depend upon them?" I howled clutching my fist.
"Well, technically just those papers can't hold us together, can they?" He asked.
"They hold our father's businesses, and Miael and Noah's relation together so yes, they technically can hold us together," I repeated yelling at him impatiently trying to leave.
"Where are you going?" He blocked my way.
"Just because some papers claim me your wife, you've got no right to intervene in my life." I removed his hand from my way.
"Just because some papers claim you, my wife, I've got more right to intervene now. Also, I'm keeping this for now." He said showing me my gun.
"That's my gun." I tried to snatch it away. "Give it back."
"Everything that belongs to you now belongs to me too." He grinned. "So stop being rude and arrogant about it. That's not the solution."
"Fine." I pushed him away. "Do whatever you want! I'm ruined already."
"Mimin!" He yelled pulling me closer by my arm. "Its not my fault this time."
"I don't care." I jerked his hand away. "Do you know how it felt when I received a text saying my application for a no marriage certificate cannot be fulfilled because I am already married? Do you know how it felt when Attorney Pascal told me the blunder you had created? Do you know how crazily my heart died when it realized it wouldn't be able to sail and live with my ocean again?"
I almost cried hitting him continuously. How can I be married to Jade? How can this mistake happen?
"You need to admit and understand it is not my fault! And if you can't then deal with it now..." He grabbed my shoulders tightly almost crushing my bones, I didn't repel.
"I will have to, even if I don't want to," I said fiercely. "But how do you plan to tell your family about this? How do you plan on telling Noah?"
His grip smoothed as my shoulders slipped out of his hands, the struggle in his eyes highlighted and slowly his gaze dropped down to our feet. Jade was a psycho who cared for nothing but himself, his only weakness was his family. He said it wasn't his fault but even if it wasn't, he had managed to hurt Noah unknowingly.
"How I deal with it is my problem, but for now you have a bigger problem." He frowned sighing.
"What?"
His fainted voice struggled, "Miael is moving in with Noah today."
"Am I a joke to you?" I yelled hitting his chest. "What the hell is wrong with you? You already knew about this for the past few days, yet you allowed them to get closer, spend nights together and now they are moving in together?"
"What is wrong in that? Traditionally, they are married!" He yelled back.
"Yeah, but they never wanted to. They got married in the first place to fulfil the legal conditions that are tying us right now," I gasped, "they can remain free now, they don't have any legal obligations on them like us!"
"With the speed, they're progressing, you really think they want to get separated?" He questioned making sense.
I breathed heavily once before finally picking up the best topic of this conversation, "Leaving them aside, you blamed my sister for ditching her husband after marrying him, how are you different from her now?" I smirked, "Technically, you yelled at your wife, you bombarded your Father-in-law with abusive language and thousands of questions, you doubted another part of your family? How do you plan on answering these charges, Mr. Martin?"
For a moment, his eyelids kept on flickering till the time he realized the depth of this situation. So if he wanted to use these papers to ruin my life, why would I stand back? I didn't have any wounds on my hand right now, just a proper bandage and some knives in forms of our marriage registration certificate.
"See you at the family dinner." He walked away clutching his hair between his fingers almost pulling his scalp in tension.
You don't mess with Mimin Renaldi!
However tense the situation might get, I can never lose to Jade. May whatever tactics he used, I was always a step ahead of him. Letting down all my worries and finally deciding to face the situation I stepped down the stairs.
"Mims!" Kerry's playfully deep voice called me.
"Hey, I was looking for you." I hugged her, closing my eyes.
"I know, that's why I was waiting here." She smiled back. "So, Jade and you--on the terrace--alone?" She giggled trying to tease me.
"Yeah, he stole my gun," I replied spoiling her mood and plan of trying to ship us a little harder.
"You and your weird weapons." She rolled her eyes. "I'm hosting a radio interview for the Renaldi twins in a few days, alerting you a little earlier." She tapped on my shoulders almost ordering me.
"I'll see if I can make it," I repeated her actions before walking away.
Everyone has that one friend,
The one that knows nothing but to ship you with the only guy you hate the most in the world. In my life, that role was played by no one else but Kerry. She was like the only girl who had the courage to fight with Jade for me and ship us both in his face. Once she locked us together in her radio room thinking something might happen that may change the wavelength between us to a spark of love but little did she know, somethings are always predestined. The record room was the best place to yell and fight because our voice wouldn't reach out but somehow while yelling and fighting we pressed the live broadcast buttons and since that day, the whole college knows how great we are to each other.
So if by any chance Kerry finds out that I'm legally married to Jade, she would broadcast it to the world and dance along with Jeff, because he is nothing different from her in this matter.
Well as for me right now, I needed to get my gun back and avenge myself for getting such a punishment and I exactly knew what I was supposed to do.
I walked out towards the parking lot, almost ran because I needed to reach before Jade. He was already there talking with Jeff, almost killing him for most probably asking why we were together at the terrace, Alone!
I rushed towards my car... wait? Why is my car here? Where's Mieal's car? Did she use my escape entrance to run from Noah? But why would she run?
"I'm leaving!" Jade yelled waving at Liam who was busy with Rayn and Eric. I rushed towards the love of Jade's life and smiled devilishly caressing its metal finishing, "we are going to have so much fun."
I brought out the bottles of spray paint I picked from the drawing-room and coloured his Kawasaki Ninja H2R in blue and black from white and orange. Throwing the bottles away I picked up his devil's face helmet and wrapped it around my head.
"Showtime!"
Jade had a habit of leaving the keys in the lock of his bike because the whole world knew, you don't touch Jade Martin's love but it was his fault that he forgot, Mimin Renaldi was never the part of this world that worshipped him. The bike went brroooomm-broooom-broooommm and the look on his face went priceless because of the lovely makeover I had given to his one and only true love.
"See you at the family dinner!" I yelled racing out of the college on his bike after doing a few slip stunts right in front of his eyes.
"Mimin!" He screamed rushing after me, his almost brown hair jumped over his eyes while his jacket made it difficult for him to catch me. He stomped his feet in anger once he realized it was impossible for him to catch me this time. I waved my red handkerchief in the air and let it slip intentionally for him to catch it declaring the war has just begun.
See, that's why you don't marry the Renaldi girls!
