2. He had the scent of Ocean (new update)
"You bitch!" I roared. By now I had gained the only thing I never wanted, attention, that too from the whole class. Most of the boys were drooling over my act while all the girls seemed pretty accurately jealous. I had managed to push myself into the same pool I had just dodged a minute ago. But still, the arrogant bastard didn't look at me, even once.
"What do you think of yourself, huh? How can you just leave me out there hanging on my own when I already told you I'm new here. Don't you have any manners?" I yelled questioning his moral etiquette.
He kept down his pen and slightly pushing me aside asked Lele, "Is she talking to me?"
"What is wrong with him? Is he mentally sick?" I folded my arms in disbelief.
"Tell your friend she is too noisy." He sniffed calmly speaking to Lele, "we're trying to study here."
"Riri, stop." Lele pulled me aside. "Didn't I tell you, he is the wrong guy. We don't bother the Golden boys."
I jerked her hand and exhaled out of frustration, "he asked for it." I told her sitting beside him.
"What's going on?" My dad, the principal of the school, entered our classroom. All the students stood up except the ugly hearted guy. I had already formed a perception for him and it seemed pretty accurate.
Our teacher rushed to him and eyed us all to stay quiet, "Nothing Mr. Renaldi, we're just welcoming the new girl." She explained removing her black locks from her face.
"Liam?" Dad called. I looked around to find everyone staring at the guy sitting beside me. So, Mr. Devil-heart has a name similar to my archnemesis.
"Did you cause any trouble?" Dad added raising his brows.
Liam tilted his lips upward, "No, I was just minding my own business."
Oh, How much I hated it when he smiled that way. My hands would itch to just grab hold of his face and bang it on his desk.
"Why don't you stand up and reply?" I banged the desk again trying my best to not take his head between my palm and the bench. Everyone gasped loudly giving me haunting looks as if I have offended them to the core of their belief.
"Wow, it seems like someone is a huge fan of Renaldi's." The kids from the backbench commented. What is wrong with this school?
"He is exempted from greeting the teachers. Apparently, he is superior in post than all of us." The teacher explained forcing a smile.
Exempted? What is he? A dog who knows no respect for anyone?
"Even so, it doesn't give him the right to be disrespectful towards someone who is elder than him. And I don't get it, why is he so important, who is he?" I questioned rolling my eyes.
Well exactly, who is he? How dare he speak to my dad so rudely? Even my arch-nemesis never dared to do that.
"Are you nuts? Don't you know? He is Liam Martin!" The hot girl with no brains yelled at me while constantly smiling at him, almost worshiping him.
"What if he is Lia..." I paused, turned to look at my dad with the most unexpected look on my face and asked, "Liam Martin?"
He simply shrunk his nose and nodded.
"Liam Martin, son of Christopher Martin, the owner of the school?" I reconfirmed. By now, my heart had already given up the thought of having a peaceful year in this school.
Get a grip girl, the wheel of fate is ruthless.
"Yes Riri, he is Liam Martin, youngest son of Christopher Martin," Dad answered as I lost my balance. The world that went upside down when I realized that being a Renaldi was a disaster at Linkton High, now rolled around a few times when I realized being a Renaldi around Liam Martin was the end of the life cycle.
How did he grow up into such a handsome guy? And how did he end up having such a beautiful face? And above all, how did he end up having the scent of the only thing I loved the most, the dawn?
"Welcome to the real world, Missy." He said before standing up as the bell rang signaling the end of the class. I was actually confused if it was just the end of class or it signaled that my good days are all gone?
He walked out of the classroom while I glared at his back teasing my memories. Liam Martin, a disaster that happened a month before I was even born. He was always ahead of me. When I joined Kindergarten, he was already there playing with the girls who were supposed to be my friends. When I decided to invite unicorn clowns to my birthday party he already used the idea a month before. When I joined swimming classes, he was already there learning from the most cutest teacher. When I turned 11 and was finally granted permission to ride a pony, he was sitting on my most favorite one. And now, again, I was beaten up by his popularity even before I began to cherish mine. I loved the scent of dawn and it was the only thing that belonged to me and now, he had it too.
His masculine back had now disappeared from my sight but I was still lost in his thoughts. If Liam was in Linkton High and that too in the same class as me, well, Lord forbid, how long was I allowed to live anyway? Liam had been the only person I never wanted to stumble into. He hated me, I hated him. He was too free, egoistic and energetic at the same time. Being around him for me meant being around the death of me.
He was the exact definition of the hindi word that meant shameless to the core—He was Besharam!
"What is wrong with you?" Lele asked shaking me. I came back to the real world and found everyone had already abandoned me.
"Where's everyone?" I pouted.
"Off to the cafeteria." She replied showing me the way. I followed her slowly trying to hide my frightened face. I had no intention of running into him again or gaining any more attention. It was enough for today, or at least I thought so.
I walked out of the classroom considering myself to be the same tiny girl who was supposed to stay unnoticed but it seemed the whole school was aware of the stunt that I had unintentionally pulled a few minutes back. My eyes were mostly interrupted by different shoes and sexy heels as I had them fixed down rather than glaring at the kids.
"Can I use the restroom real quick?" I asked, some what told Lele before rushing inside the washroom and locking myself in one of the cabins. Gosh! I hate returning home already.
I was about to step out when I heard a few girls speak something I didn't want to hear even over my grave.
"What, but how is that possible?" One of them squealed.
"Why not? Haven't you seen! Lele is all around her all the time. She is pretty as hell. And Liam has been roaming around her since this morning," the other one exaggerated, "...I even saw her hugging him from behind this morning."
"So, what you mean is, Riri is actually Liam's girlfriend?" Another one asked.
Cold air, a grey cloud and silver shiver ran around my body as soon as I heard them call me that Besharam's girlfriend.
Holy son of a bitch! Liam Martin, You Asshole!
I unlocked the door and rushed out to return to Lele. This place was driving me insane.
"Why are they all staring at me?" I questioned sitting in front of Lele at one of the abandoned tables in the cafeteria. This school was discriminatory to even its furniture.
"Because you're pretty, you look like a princess and you've got a nice figure." Lele winked smiling all the way, "Oh, plus, the whole college thinks you're Liam Martin's girlfriend." She added cheerfully making my misery sound like something to be proud of.
"Is he really that popular? Why would they even think about something so stupid? I threatened him and they think I'm his girlfriend?" I questioned again.
"Are you kidding me? He is the youngest and newest member of the Golden Spoon boys." She said filling her mouth with some lettuce. Her salad didn't look pleasing at all.
"Golden spoon boys?" I asked weirdly. He deserved the spoon name though.
"Technically they're just Golden boys, but any girl who gets to be related to them becomes popular and super-rich. So it's like grabbing a golden spoon, so we call them Golden Spoon boys in private." She said while chewing her food.
The World is a petty place, even the beasts are considered best here.
I picked up a roasted potato stick and took a bite from the corner, "So, who all are a part of it?"
"The Martin brothers and their side dudes." She said before gulping down a glass full of orange juice. She pulled up her sleeves and turned to look at the group of 4 boys staring right at us.
"You see the one is Blue? He is Eric, Liam's side dude. He is like a good friend of mine. The white one is the one you already had an encounter with, the youngest Martin Brother, Liam. He hates talking to girls because they say that boys in their family are all dedicated to one woman in their life. He seems to have already found one." She sighed. Ugh! Gross! How could someone like Liam Martin?
Giving no attention to my disgusted face, Lele continued, "...the one in black is Jade, the second Martin brother, and archnemesis of your sister Mimin. He hates all the girls, no matter what. He is super obsessed with himself and believes that no one is capable enough for his love. His golden eyes are meant to steal the heart of any girl. Mimi said, he smelled like the ocean and she hated him."
"Mimi said he smelled like the ocean?" I asked suddenly standing up from my seat.
"Yeah? Why?" She tried to read my expressions.
"You sure the person she said this about and the person she hates are the same?" I asked again. My sister couldn't be a victim here, could she?
"Yeah, she said she hates him so much that she wants to push him down the hill!" She replied proudly.
"Oh no! Poor Mimi!" I mumbled rolling my eyes.
"What did you say?" Lele asked out of confusion.
"The blonde guy is his side dude?" I questioned changing the subject.
She rolled her eyes returning to the introduction, "Yes, his name is Jeff. I hate him. He is like a total turn off. He has four girlfriends and all of them know about each other."
"Who is that girl over there?" I asked pointing towards a blonde girl with a pineapple-shaped face.
"That's Patricia Bennette, our senior. She used to be a side chick to your sister Miael. On the popularity chart, she is ranked second since Miael left, your sister Mimin is still the first. Patricia is only popular because she gains attention from the Martin boys and from the silver spoon boys too." She spoke a few words about the supermodel girl who was surrounded by half of the Cafeteria's eyes.
"Now there's a Silver spoon group of boys too?" I asked.
"Yeah. Well, actually there are two groups. One of the Martin boys, the other of the Bennette boys. Linkton high is a school-based on partner ownership. Martins have a 60% partnership since your dad agreed to join his partnership with Christopher Martin. While the Bennette's now only have 40% ownership. So they're still popular but slightly less than our smoking hot heroes." She said drooling over my archnemesis.
"So most popular are the golden spoon, the lesser ones are silver and what about the bronze then?" I asked out of frustration. I hated this division.
"Who cares about bronze?" She asked making me realize it was high time to bring change in Linkton high!
But whatever it was, my main motto was staying away from these Martin brothers and never let my identity expose. Even if I leave Liam aside, Mimin had warned me to keep my distance from Jade and with Lele's description, her warning seems to make a whole lot new sense. I decided to leave the cafeteria and head towards the class and for that, I had to cross the group of golden boys. I took a deep breath and began to take slow steps. All the while I was sure that all the eyes were actually following me including the Martin brothers.
"Didn't you say, they don't care about any girl?" I asked Lele murmuring under my breath.
"Usually this doesn't happen, but then you're a Renaldi," Lele replied the only reply I was expecting. I swiftly passed them and took a sigh of relief just before sensing a firm grip on my wrist.
I was doomed, again.
I turned around to find Jade Martin glaring at my face while Liam rolled his eyes. Jade's grip on my wrist was firm, but I could bet it was enough for my bones to crack if I had tried to twist it even a little. His golden eyes scanning me top to bottom, while his lips slowly uplifting from the corners.
He turned to face Jeff who was already having a feast over my body with his eyes. Eric was the only one not interested but Liam, he seemed to be toying around with his eyes and my temper.
"Whatever, I bet she is a 9," Jeff remarked pouting his lips.
Liam laughed a little before correcting Jeff's statement, "numbering her can bring your doom really close. Better be careful Jeff Bavez."
At least he knew I wasn't just some random girl he could mess with. But my confusion continued to remain unsolved. Why did they stop me? And why was Jade still holding my hand? Didn't Lele say he hated girls and would never let anyone roam around him? How could he simply grab my hand in the middle of the Cafeteria and check out my entire personality without saying anything? How dare he?
I was about to lose my patience when finally he decided to speak up, "she doesn't seem to be hungry for attention. You're mistaken, little brother." Jade said calmly leaving my hand.
Woah? What did he say? Liam Martin! You are so dead!
"What did he say? I'm hungry for attention?" I yelled in a low voice before anger crawled on my cheeks. I had been taking his shit for too long, and now, when I had to stay in Linkton High for the next three years with these assholes, there was no way I was going to give up my peace of mind for them. I would really not mind fracturing a few bones on the very first day just to secure my shiny future.

Added a few more clarifications.
