Baekhyun's Pov

I opened my eyes to see after a long time that the wolf in front of me paused and it sat down opting to stare at me with its deep brown eyes.

My breathing stilled and my hands released the tight grip on the creature. Then suddenly quick as a raindrop, he leaned forward and lapped my face once.

My mouth trembled as I held in the desire to break down because was he only tasting me? But after a couple of licks and my tears gone, he leaned down towards my bloody hand.

Is he going to claw it now?

I squeezed my eyes shut and felt the gentlest lick on my hand and it actually hurt less. He finally pulled away and backed up so I decided to stand but when I tried to turn away, the wolf growled and I paused in my path.

I stared at him wanting to tell his intentions but the wolf only stared back. Each wrong step I took, he snarled at me and once I followed him, he gave a satisfied bark before leading the way.

He never looked back once probably because he knew that I couldn't escape and even if I did, he'll probably catch me.

Soon I found myself staring at that place again. Discolored walls, thorns encasing the whole area, broken windows, wiltered plants and just a place I wouldn't want to be in.

Surprisingly, the inside once I really stopped and observed it was clean-super clean. Wide spans of area with furniture decorated from the Victorian era.

My fingers brushed against the wall as I watched the wolf in front of me leading the way. Its muscles tensed as it moved stealthily along the hall with its tail swishing mildly slow as pride and arrogance oozed out in waves.

I noticed my forgotten backpack that I flung carelessly by the broken window so I retracted my steps to get to it. But before I can, the wolf rumbled a threatening noise as I tried to get my message across.

3rd  Person's Pov

"My bag is up there. I need to get it." Baekhyun stated as he ignored the wolf's piercing glare and opted to walk towards the staircase.

Without warning, the ebony beast ran and knocked Baekhyun down pinning him on the ground. A gasp escaped Baekhyun's lips as the wolf snarled at him as if warning him to not make bold moves.

Just then a small dust caused Baekhyun's nose to twitch and unnoticeably sneezed. It startled the wolf a bit causing him to fall on its bottom as something weird happened.

Its fur shrank as its limbs transformed to that of humans, and after all that a young man was in place of the ferocious wolf before.

Baekhyun blinked once...twice...three times before he scooted away quickly backwards.

The wolf human still had a huge frown on yet Baekhyun found him harmless with his big ears, large eyes, and messy hair.

Without waiting for the wolf human to react, Baekhyun scrambled upstairs and grabbed his backpack but before he can feel it, it was snatched away from him.

"Give it back." Baekhyun demanded shockingly because a wolf just turned into a human.

"No." Came the first word the wolf had spoken.

"You can talk?" Baekhyun asked surprised.

"Of course I can I'm a werewolf, stupid." Chanyeol grumbled before walking down the stairs.

"And you look like a human." Baekhyun spoke to himself. "What's your name?" Baekhyun continued as curiosity swirled inside of him.

"I'm not telling you." The wolf scoffed before digging in Baekhyun's backpack.

"Hey stop it! Mr. I'm not telling you." Baekhyun warned as they engaged in a game of tug a war.

The werewolf suddenly let go and Baekhyun fell on his bottom as he glared at the human in front of him.

"Don't look at me like that. Be thankful I didn't kill you." The werewolf threatened.

"Mr. I'm not telling yo-" Baekhyun began when the other cut him off and stated "Chanyeol. Call me Chanyeol, human."

"I have a name I'm Baekhyun, Mr. I'm not telling you." Baekhyun asserted as he picked his bag up and walked down the stairs.

"Yah where are you going?" Chanyeol asked as he followed after the petite guy.

"To where my class is." Baekhyun muttered as he stomped his way down.

And somewhere in Chanyeol he felt a heavy urge to lock Baekhyun here and not let him escape. And so he did.

The main door was locked and the windows before were replaced with iron covering the expanse of the glass. The moonlight was blocked as Baekhyun stood in fear because the only light left was eliminated.

"Yah M-mr. Wolf wh-where are you?" Baekhyun mumbled out as he couldn't see anything and felt as vulnerable as ever.

"Learn your place human." Came the quick, gruff reply before Baekhyun was left once again.

"W-wait!" Baekhyun shouted at the haunted place his voice echoing across the walls and scaring him even more.

He was never fond of haunted house ever since he was little and he loathed it whenever he was alone. When he was seven, his two friends pulled him in one and left him there as the other two snickered before dashing off.

Baekhyun hated this. The feeling the revolting horrid emotion resurfacing. Being left alone. Being abandoned. And worst of all-betrayal. He didn't understand why people would betray others for greed or simply a carnal emotion to achieve something that lacked meaning in the end.

But Chanyeol was not a human so it shouldn't apply to him. Baekhyun tried to lessen his blame on the taller wolf human-telling himself that the wolf was probably abandoned here, left alone, and betrayed by someone. That's why.

But Baekhyun didn't know how far away from the story he was. Chanyeol wasn't abandoned, left alone, or betrayed-in fact he was the one who abandoned his pack after he felt a surge of recklessness flowing through his veins. He left them in search of a new thrill some new adventure. And he betrayed them-because by leaving them they were scattered sand with no sense of understanding of what to do next.

Baekhyun huddled down, flinching when he felt a rough material rub against his arm but relaxed a bit when he noticed that it was only one of the many pieces of furniture placed oddly in the room. He opted to wrap his arms around his backpack and tried to think of happy thoughts trying to push the darkness away from his mind.

However he was failing miserably when he kept on drifting back to the situation he was in now. Miserable and abandoned with the thought of going home the strongest.

Chanyeol watched from the second floor as the boy flinch with every weird noise and huddle towards himself with clenched hands.

He almost felt bad-almost. But he thought it was interesting to look at humans this close and their emotions flowing out-fear being the most.

But today Chanyeol saw defiance and stubbornness in the human he saved which was like impossible since usually all his victims died before stepping out in the forest.

He sat comfortably as his tail swished back and forth as he detected the boy's timid movements and it surprised him-how a human can be so strong willed before can turn into such a scared little thing.

Chanyeol decided that he loved humans-playing them of course. He took out a marble from his mini bag and rubbed it between his fingers before flicking it off the railing. The marble created a loud noise and surprisingly didn't break as it rolled with echo following it towards the living room and thundering to a stop.

It's funny how something so small can produce such a loud noise in a quiet place.

Baekhyun's Pov

I hate it. Sitting on this ground with no sense of when I'll get out. Suddenly a loud ping sound shook me out of my thoughts. It scratched against the ground making me tense in whatever is going to come.

I reached out and felt something cold and round in the palm of my hands.

"Have you learned your lesson yet, human?" That dude asked as I rolled my eyes in the darkness-not like he can see.

A thumping on the door broke my thoughts and suddenly another furry wolf came bounding inside. Its Snow White fur glimmered from the moonlight as it slowly padded inside.

The wolf sniffed a couple of times before whipping its head towards my direction. A small snarl and then it dashed towards me as I braced myself for what to come.

But instead of biting me, the wolf engulfed me in a gigantic hug. I was too shocked to say anything as the wolf began licking my face.

"Yah Kai! That's my human! Find your own to eat." That other wolf growled as I now saw how he hopped down from the second floor.

"But hyung~" The white wolf mumbled as it began playing with my hair. "I want this human too! But don't eat him I want a friend." He continued not an ounce of fear of the larger black wolf.

"Kai enough. I decide what happens around here. And if I eat him you have no say in this." The dark wolf snarled a bit.

"No-what's your name?" The white wolf which I now figured was Kai asked me.

"Baekhyun." I whispered giving out part of it.

"Aww Baek Baek you can be my friend!" And with that the wolf began to transform.

My eyes widened as I saw yet another human in front of me. Brown, messy hair with beautiful sun kissed skin and plumb lips. He looked younger than me.

Just what in the world are these werewolves?

Lick. Lick. Lick.

"Can you not li-" I began as I wiped my arm off of my shirt when Kai looked up with his pitiful eyes and jutted lower lip.

Are human wolves supposed to be this cute? I've always wanted a younger brother...

"Um I-ok." I mumbled as Kai cuddled close and squeezed the life out of me.

"Yes I want to keep him. He's so adorable. Please~ can I take him?" Kai asked as the other black wolf now in human form crossed his arms over himself.

"No. He's mine." Chanyeol asserted as he pulled the cuff of my shirt and yanked me away from the little puffball.

I glared at Chanyeol and pulled away from him.

"No I'm not. I'm not yours I'm mine." I answered dusting off my knees.

In return I received a smothering glaze and a snarl before he threatened the other wolf to run off.
