Baekhyun stayed in his position for almost half an hour and he begin to feel aching in his arms from lifting them a bit. He sighed at least I'm laying down he thought as he tugged a bit at his restraints.

He pondered again why was he so unresponsive when the taller trapped him here again?

His thoughts broke away as he heard a slight scratching sound by the balcony. Soon after he widened his eyes when he saw the previous boy from the forest stumbling on the sheets he tied to escape as the boy finally rolled over in the room.

Baekhyun blinked rapidly not believing his eyes as the boy got up and quickly jumped on the bed before placing himself on top of Baekhyun who groaned at the weight. Then the boy nuzzled his head on his stomach as Baekhyun told the boy to get off.

"Pl-please get off you're s-so heavy." Baekhyun wheezed as the boy finally heeded to his directions before settling to nibble on Baekhyun's ropes.

Baekhyun was really confused as the boy freed one of his hands and worked on the next. As soon as it was done, the boy tugged Baekhyun to follow him and escape again.

Baekhyun debated before finally slipping down from the long bundled sheets again. The boy slid down afterwards and tugged Baekhyun away again when he felt a small pain in his heart.

The boy stopped as if sensing his pain and stared at him with those worried eyes.

"It's ok you can go first I-I'll follow soon." Baekhyun reassured the other in which the boy only furrowed his eyebrows before picking Baekhyun up and jogging quickly away.

The boy placed him in a cave that he found before setting him gently down. Baekhyun closed his eyes as the pain from before pinched a bit more on his chest while the boy gave him two sticks.

Baekhyun noticed the sun setting away so he rubbed the sticks together before creating a fire.

The boy then went over towards him before hugging him. Baekhyun uncomfortable with this stranger gently pushed him off.

"Uh thank you for helping me escape." Baekhyun begin as the boy sadly sat alone since he wasn't allowed to hug Baekhyun.

The boy nodded as if saying you welcome as Baekhyun continued his questions.

"Um where do you live?" Baekhyun asked as the boy pointed at this cave.

"Have you been alone here? Where's your parents?" Baekhyun questioned worried about the boy.

The boy nodded at the first question and ignored the second.

"What's your name?" Baekhyun asked after a moment of silence.

The boy then slowly turned his head to face Baekhyun before grabbing a stick and drawing something on the ground. It was a circle with a bunch of dots in it.

Baekhyun didn't understand so he sighed quietly before patting the boy on the back.

"Sorry I don't understand but thank you again little boy." Baekhyun smiled as the other only pouted.

"Can I call you um Hope since you saved me?" Baekhyun asked as the boy only shaked his head and hmphed before pointing at the circle again.

"Circle?" Baekhyun tried but the boy looked frustrated and shaked his head again.

"C-c-cookie." The boy said trying really hard to pronounce the word as he haven't spoken for ages.

"Cookie? Wow you have the same name as my bunny that's so cute!" Baekhyun beamed as the boy looked at him more frustrated and smacked his head.

"Oww! What the- I miss Cookie I wonder where he went." Baekhyun muttered as he rubbed the spot the boy hit him at.

"I-I'm Cookie." The boy stated as Baekhyun nodded so the boy continued "T-the bunny."

"Hm? Wait-what?!" Baekhyun asked shocked as he stared at the boy again.

"I'm Cookie." The boy repeated again and Baekhyun looked at him weirdly "O-k?" Baekhyun replied.

Afterwards the boy, Cookie went over and squished Baekhyun again. "I mi-miss Baekhyun." He mumbled before nuzzling his face in the other's stomach like what the bunny always did.

Baekhyun believed him since Chanyeol was a wolf and can change into human then the bunny can too, right?

"What about before? Did you never have name other than Cookie?" Baekhyun asked as he ruffled the other's hair like what he did to the bunny.

"It is my name. It's my nickname cookie my whole name is Jungkook." Jungkook  replied enjoying the fingers treading through his hair.

"Oh." Baekhyun mumbled as this didn't faze him anymore. Every animal he has encountered in this forest were able to transform into a human.

At the mansion, Chanyeol was groaning in pain as the moon appeared while he writhed and groaned in frustration. His claws scraped the rug as his eyes beamed a deadly red.

He let out a howl as the forest was filled with his echo.

Baekhyun was by the fire when he felt an immense pain in his chest as he fell on the ground.

Kookie stared perplexed as he quickly tried to ease the other's pain. Baekhyun felt a strong pull as he got up and started tumbling towards a path while Kookie followed immediately.

Baekhyun fell after the pain continued so the boy carried him as Baekhyun pointed towards a direction.

Tumbling through, they were surprised to return to the mansion. The gates whistled and creaked as a figure then loomed towards them. Baekhyun noticed that it was Chanyeol and immediately his pain started to subside.

The taller however wasn't so keen on seeing the smaller carried in a stranger's hold as Chanyeol growled menacingly at the boy.

He was also confused as to how the smaller escaped but seeing him safe made his heart lighter.

Baekhyun then got off and hobbled over before giving the taller a big hug as the clock stroke midnight signaling his birthday.

Chanyeol grumpily hugged the other but then pushed the other off but still clutching on the smaller's shoulders.

Baekhyun gave a pout then as he wanted to wrap his arms around the other. Chanyeol unaffected-well a little bit maybe questioned the other.

"How dare you escape from me two times?" Chanyeol grumbled irritated.

"I-I was feeling...weird." Baekhyun muttered twirling his fingers.

"And how did you even get out of this mansion's perimeter?" Chanyeol asked an eyebrow raised.

Baekhyun didn't know either so he thought about everything but Chanyeol believed that the smaller didn't want to answer so he frowned more.

"Baekhyun." Chanyeol warned as the smaller fidgeted nervously. When the smaller still didn't answer Chanyeol got more impatient. "You're useless." Chanyeol scoffed to tease the other but was surprised to see the smaller hurt.

Baekhyun tensed and his eyes brimmed with tears yet he didn't know why. He just didn't understand why he felt so painful when the taller thought that he was useless. His heart clenched and his emotions were out of his control.

Unbeknownst to him, it was the bond and mark affecting him. Ever since his birth, the mark was waiting to be released and serve and love the alpha once he was of age.

So even though Baekhyun didn't understand why he yearned for Chanyeol.

Chanyeol gulped a bit taken back and was about to comfort the other when the stranger boy from the forest stepped between them and nuzzled against Baekhyun's head.

The boy calmed the other down before Baekhyun gave a hug to Kookie to hide his face. Chanyeol fumed in jealousy yet the taller didn't know it was jealousy mistaking it as anger towards the smaller's escape and disobedience.

But after Baekhyun finished he peered at the taller and mumbled, "am I really useless?"

Chanyeol cleared his throat before muttering a soft, "no."
