( A/n: This is during Witches before Wizards, and Mery has sorta met the twins before, but they don't know each other's names. )

Mery woke up to the sound of Luz scream. Mery groans as she sat up.

Mery: ( growls in annoyance ) Hooty...

Mery got up, got dressed, and walked out of her room and downstairs as she saw that King and Luz left the house, she looked at Eda with a blank expression.

Mery: ( blankly: ) Let me guess, you sent Luz and King to sell potions or something?

Eda: Yep, and you know what I want you to do today.

Mery: ( blankly: ) Start making some potions to sell.

Eda: You got it, kiddo.

Mery: Alright. But, I need to go into town to get some stuff.

Eda: By get...

Mery: I mean pick pocket some people and use their money to buy things.

Eda: That's my girl.

Mery then pulled out a backpack from behind the couch and whistles, summoning Brownie, who runs to her and jumps inside the backpack.

Eda: ( as Mery summons Brownie: ) Remember, never befriend a man in sandals and always measure twice, cut once.

Mery: Yes, Eda.

Mery then walked out of the door, and Eda opened a window as Mery closed the door behind her.

Eda: ( to Mery: ) Be back by nightfall or risk mortal peril.

Mery: Yes, Eda.

Cut to Mery in Bonesborough, after pick pocketing about ten people, half of them were guards. Mery was halfway through getting the stuff she needed, without noticing that the Blight Twins were across the street from her, and Emira was trying to help her twin brother talk to the red haired witch.

Emira: Come on, Ed. You've been crushing on her for about a year now. You do this every time you get the chance to talk to her.

Edric: What if I embarrass myself, and she'll hate me for it-

The twins then saw that Mery was gone.

Emira: And that was another chance wasted.

Cut to Mery on a beach. Mery pulled out a small leather bag from her backpack and filled it with sand, then she tied the bag shut and put it back in her backpack before she began walking away from the beach to go back to the Owl house to begin making potions.

Cut to at the Owl house after the whole Wizard chaos. Mery was in the living room, pouring the last of the batch of the potion she'd finished making into bottles when Eda, Luz, and King walked in through the door.

Mery: ( blankly with a raised brow: ) Do I even wanna know what you guys been doing these past two days?

Eda: Nope. And let me guess, you've just been gathering and making potions like I asked?

Mery: Yep.

Eda: That's my girl.
