Ruby: "How's he doing?"

The leader of team RWBY asked, looking at the bedridden (F/N). He was wrapped up and Jaune was by his side, trying to patch up his aura.

Ryan: "Its not looking all too good, especially with Haven under attack."

He said, as he looked outside the window, at the Grimm trashing the City of Haven. He grunted and closed the curtains swiftly, as he stared away from the window.

Blake: "We need to be fighting back! Why are we just sitting here!"

Yang: "Because we aren't strong enough!"

Tears were in her eyes, as everyone realised that truly, she was right. They could barely take out the Manticore Grimm, and there were hundreds of them outside.

Ruby sat by a chair, as Jaune collapsed out of exhaustion. Pyrrha ran to help, as Weiss tried to patch up (F/N). Ren was all too busy covering everyone emotions from the Grimm.

The building tumbled and everyone grabbed their weapons. And a voice boomed over the hallways.

Salem: "Give me the Saiyan and none of you shall be harmed!"

A deep growl formed in Ryan's throat as he stared out of the window. The Queen of Grimm herself stood outside in all her evil glory. An agitated expression on her face as she stared at the Academy they took refuge in.

Ruby: "No..."

No one wanted to give up (F/N). Not after all he's done for them. He's brought them closer together than they've ever been. He was the backbone of this academy.

(F/N) was the hope of Beacon Academy, it's remnants lived within him. It's people riding on him to the end. He had came into everyone's lives, and changed it for better or worse.

And no one wanted to let him go.

Ryan stood up slowly, clenching his fists.

Ryan: "She wants a Saiyan? I'll give her one."

He said, with a pissed off expression on his face. Everyone watched as he stormed out of the door of the infirmary. Ready to hold a final stand against the Evil plaguing this world.

To Salem's surprised, it was a Saiyan that walked out for the Academy. Just not the one she wanted. Ryan walked out of the doors, Isaiah's bandana in his hand. Scarlet red, stained of blood. He tied it around his forehead to keep his hair out, as he stared down Salem.

Ryan: "I won't let you have him."

Salem: "How cute, and what can you do? You're not as strong as him."

Ryan chuckled, but his eyes were full of hate as he stared into hers.

Ryan: "I'm tired of everyone comparing me to him!"

Bursts of Electricity shot around him as his power started to rise. Salem has an amused look in her face as she watched him slowly power up.

Ryan: "But I don't care anymore. I'll fight for the future of Remnant! And I won't let you stand it my way. I will protect them!"

Ryan shouted as a white glow enveloped him. Salem yawned as she held her hand out. Griffon Grimm landed in front of him and begun to surround him.

Salem: "You're flame will soon be extinguished, Saiyan. Fear not."

Salem walked past him as he was covered in Grimm. She was heading towards the Academy when a sudden spike in power shot up. A blue beam shot into the air as the Griffon were shot off and disintegrated by the power.

Ryan's hair spiked up and became a Deep Blue colour. The aura around him was the same, as white specks seemed to fly through it.

Salem: "You're stronger now? I thought you reached your limit?!"

Ryan: "That's where you're wrong! I must get stronger, to protect everyone!"

He shouted out into the Academy as release even more power. Everyone felt the ground shaking, as Ruby held onto (F/N). Everyone sat down to help themselves, as Qrow looked out the window.

Qrow: "....Kick her ass."

Ryan stopped shouting as he wiped his mouth. Salem stood there, a tick mark on her face. Her annoyed expression only brought joy to Ryan; even if her didn't show it.

Salem: "You done yet?"

Ryan: "Yeah-"

Ryan suddenly vanished and appeared behind Salem.

Ryan: "I think so."

He mumbled as Salem turned around, a shocked expression on her face. She was met by Ryan's fist, and was launched backwards, away from the Academy.

Salem let out a roar and charged at Ryan, throwing a right hook at him. He casually ducked under, before punching her In the gut. She lost her breath and was knocked down by the sheer force.

Ryan: "Is that all you got? I'm disappointed, and here I thought (F/N) was your rival."

He smiled as he taunted her, holding a hand out and motioning her to try her best. Salem got angry as she stood up, Manticore and Griffon Grimm alike manifesting themselves behind her.

Salem: "I will make you pay!"

Ryan: "I'm sure you will."

Ryan held out a hand as blue sphere formed in it. It slowly began to form up and grow in size. The Grimm charged at him.

Ryan: "Big Bang Attack!"

He shouted as the sphere launched off and exploded most of the Grimm. He launched from his spot to the nearest Grimm and knocked it to the ground, then used that Grimm to take out several more.

He shot through the Manticore like it was nothing, but was knocked out of his frenzy by Salem. She launched him to the side. He recovered mid air and stared at the Queen. She had a dark aura around her, as her rage only grew. He held his hands out in front of him and cupped them as she put a single hand out.

A purple and black ball of energy formed in Salem's hands, while a bright yellow one formed in Ryan's.

Ryan: "Final Flash!"

Salem: "Die!"

The blasts collided with each other as they both struggled to push each other back. Ryan started to force Salem backwards a bit and smiled.

Ryan: "I won't let you w-"

Ryan felt something snap inside of him. He felt like his body gave out. His hair fell down, as his face fell. He had forgotten that his body couldn't hold that form. His attack dissipated as he hit the ground.

Salem smiled as she felt no more resistance, and she walked slowly towards the downed Saiyan.

Salem: "No more words left to utter, Saiyan?"

Ryan looked up from the ground, pain welling through his entire body.

Ryan: "Fuck.... Off."

Salem's face turned into a frown as she kicked Ryan in the side and sent him off.

(F/N) POV

I let out a long breath as I missed the punch. In front of me stood a black, static figure of myself. For all I could tell, I had been here for hours trying to learn this technique. My conscious, or whatever it was, had told me the only way to beat Salem was to surpass not my physical barriers, but my mental ones.

I threw another punch, but in my exhausted state I couldn't even come close to hitting the figure, that just seemed to move. I felt his first drive into my chest and I was sent flying back.

(F/N): "This.. is stupid. Aren't I unconscious? Why do I feel tired.. and pain."

???: "Because it is the best way to learn. Now stand up. Stop thinking before you attack. Let your moves guide you."

I stood up and let out a growl as I launched at the figure in front of me. I launched my fist at his face with all the speed and strength I could muster. But I only watched as his hand seemed to move right up, and stop by his left shoulder.

My eyes went wide. There was no way he could've known I was faking out and going for his shoulder. But I only watched as my fist landed right where his hand was.

???: "Stop it! You need to learn, or everyone you love will die."

He twisted his hand and my body went with it, and I slammed into the ground. The figure seemed agitated.

???: "Come on! Do you want them to die! Everyone will die! What do you not see about this!"

He shouted in my face, as he launched me back again. I wouldn't, let anyone die. My friends, my family. My team. I felt slowly as my thoughts slowed down, and so did the battle. I felt the familiar snap, the same the happened when I was fighting Cinder.

It felt like generations of power were flowing through me. And in front of me, I saw a man who looked a lot like me. Wearing a ripped and orange gi, a sliver aura around. His air was solid sliver and he looked up at me. He nodded at me and seemed to disappear.

A bluish aura enveloped me as I stared down the figure. I wouldn't let anyone else get hurt.

Faster than I could fathom, I was in front of him. I shoved my palm out, but didn't make contact. Yet still he was launch backwards. I softly touched down, staring at myself.

???: "Yes, there it is. Now go, fight. Win."

I watched as everything faded away.

I launched awake to see everyone around me. Ruby was holding onto me and was incredibly started when I got up.

Ruby: "(F/N)!"

She shouted and jumped into my arms. WBY joined in as well, and everyone else smiles. When they broke away from the group hug, Qrow informed me of the situation.

I stood from my bed, and a panicked Summer rushed towards me.

Summer: "Hold up, are you sure you can move?!"

(F/N): "I have to be able to."

I said, as I twirled my arm around to test it out. I looked around to everyone's happy faces, until I realised there was a missing, grumpy one.

(F/N): "Where's Ryan?"

I looked around, to see everyone avoid my gaze. The building started to shake, and I felt an energy dimming down.

Yang: "He's holding off Salem!"

Yang let out, covering her mouth afterward. My eyes went wide, as I rushed out of the room. I could hear everyone calling after me, but I only ignored them. I made my way outside as quickly as I can, to see everything destroyed.

(F/N): "Ryan!"

I shouted out into the darkness, hoping for an answer.

Instead, I watched as the dust cloud vanished away, to see Salem holding Ryan by his shirt. Her hand, through his chest.

Salem: "Well, finally. The so called Saviour. Here, catch."

She said, as she threw Ryan at me. I caught him in my arms, and saw that he was barely hanging on.

(F/N): "Ryan, stay with me.."

Ryan: "(F/N), you can save everyone.... you can stop her... let out your rage, (F/N)... and kill her."

I watched the life leave his eyes, and everything broke inside of me. I was too late. I slowly walked over to the side and laid him out. I stood up, to feel the rage flowing through me, as I stared at Salem.

I could feel nothing but rage as I looked at her face.

Salem: "Are you angry, I'm glad."

(Y/N): "You killed him... he was one of my best friends. I'll make you pay..."

I felt my power rise again. My hair slowly drift in the wind, and that same blusish aura surround me.

(Y/N): "I'll make you pay!"
