Flashback 7 years Ago before Liza's encounter Rose's POV

I was raised trained to be one of the most strongest members of my clan, they say that I was considered to be the symbol beauty and strength, I quickly got to the Point where most of the male warriors starts asking me out where I all rejected, I know they only court because of my last name which is one of the stronger Clan Blaze a clan that is well respected in my clan, with my Eagle eye titan my strength is unmatched they say i am a prodigy, when the day come that I was going to battle one of the Hiryus I saw a Jet-black haired male around my age to test me if they will accept me to become a student of the upcoming Wizard Academy, I was confident that they will accept me because of my superior skills I was confident.

 We went to the arena and I draw my sword and he drew his "in honor of your visit I will let you make the first m-" I was cut off by his attack he moves at incredible speed I barely dodge that attack I distance myself from him I focused on his movements he's charging right upfront!? so I charge at him too we both clashed swords I can feel his strength but I need to focus I manage to force some distance on him and I changed my weapon to gun mode and shoot at him but he easily dodged it now I'm getting irritated so I I put my weapon back and use my magic Fire magic which is unmatched I put my hand together and gathering a humongous flame sphere and throw it at him it was a direct hit "I DID IT!!" "I wouldn't be sure of that" a voice came from the flames when it was cleared he was unscathed and didn't even flinch "n-no way.." as he walk towards me I can feel myself shaking he was close to me he lifted his hand I close my eyes bracing for a beat down but it never came instead I felt a warm palm on my head I open my eyes and see the male rubbing my head his eyes are closed and smiling I can feel my cheeks heating up "huh? do you have a fever?" I shook my head my father approach me "now Rose, you know there are more powerful warrior like him in Remnant so please even if you are considered a prodigy, there are more powerful foes than you, remember we all exist for a purpose to protect the innocents" I nodded and my father and the head of the Hiryu and began to leave "Wait!!" the two stopped and looked at me "I... uh never got you name.. if it's alright can you tell me your name" the boy smiled "Augustine" I smiled "I hope we meet again" I said to him he waved goodbye after saying "we'll meet again, see you around" and with that they took their leave... After a week

It's been a week, yeah I know because of the timeskip of the story says so (FOURTH WALL!!), Since I've seen Augustine my clan and his clan have been close friends since the war I saw on the news on what he and his siblings has done, they've made this country to harmonize with each other, everyone called him 'Grimm Slayer' and one of the 'Four Great Dragons' because of his magic of Light he is still forming a team of four he already has one of three which is a spiky black haired guy named Tatsuya, together they have help many citizens and decrease the crime rate "Rose" I turned around to see my dad "you will go on a mission Augustine and his friend Tatsuya will accompany you, they will assess your performance" I became excited thatone of the four young Hiryus is assessing me, well I've got to prepare for tomorrow

Next Day

I am now at the bullhead departure where I will begin my first mission There I was looking at Augustine and a spiky black haired which I assumed is Tatsuya they approach me "nice to meet you Rose Blaze, I'm Tatsuya Fair but you can call me Tatsu if you want" I bowed to them "I-it's a p-pleasure to meet you mr. Tatsuya" the two of them just chuckle "hey no need to be formal now or stiff" I just look at them confuse "Let's do our best on this mission" I smile and nod

we arrived at the destination it was full of grimms I went in first they called me but I'm gonna prove myself, that I can do this

*Tatsuya's POV*

Is this girl for real!? she's charging in an area full of grimm I look at Augustine and he looked shock as I am I followed her and slicing down every grimms that crosses my path, and I catched up to her "What were you thinking!? you idiot, charging into an area full of grimms without any plan of attack!!" we three are now surrounded by the grimms "tsk, this is not good" I saw Rose get knocked down by a giant Ursa our Aura is almost Depleted I try to shield Rose I braced for impact but it never came I open my eyes and see Augustine blocked the attack "!!.. Tatsu bring Rose to safety I'll handle them as much as I can" I nodded and carry her Bridal Style, as we are running we are struck by a powerful Ursa Claw we hit the wall and our Aura's completely depleted 'not Good" the Ursa is getting closer and closer to us It raised it's claws I closed my eyes again when I opened them I saw Blood but it's weird there is blood in front of me but i felt no pain I look at the ground and I saw Augustine on the ground gravely wounded barely conscious "*pant*... I... told you... to get to... S...safety" and he fell unconscious I felt something  in my head snapped

*Rose's POV*

I regained consciousness then I heard a loud scream of anger "YOU....YOU MONSTERS!!!" then I feel his magic his wind magic is so strong it feels like a great cyclone then he blew several Grimms then he noticed me awake "your awake great I'll carry Augustine, you cover for us, let's head to the abandoned building" Augustine? where is he I look down a little and saw Augustine with a grave wound I gasp in horror "I.... it's... all m-m-my fault... I-I shouldn't have try to prove myself" Tatsuya grabbed my shoulder "no Rose don't blame yourself.. he's still alive but unconscious, I promise you we will come back home alive" I wiped the tears and nod

Timeskip

After we went inside we treated Augustine's wounds first and set up camp "I'll go hunt us some food" I nod and look after Augustine by the time Tatsuya left after a few minutes I hear rustle on the sleeping bag I saw Augustine regaining consciousness I rushed to his side "Augustine..." he looked at me "Rose... Where's Tatsu?" he tried to get up but I pushed him down "he's hunting for some food" "I see..." "I..." "Hm? Rose?" "I.... I... I'M SORRY IT'S ALL MY FAULT!!" I shouted "no... don't blame yourself... I'm just glad that the two of you are safe" he smiled at me which made me tear up more "I'm a failure, I canno-" he cut me off by holding his index finger on my lips I can feel heats rising from my cheeks "don't continue, you know why I picked you specifically for this mission?" he ask as i shook my head "because I saw a lot of potential in you, a potential that is a natural, powerful mage warrior, so don't go saying you're a failure we always fail but it's those failures what makes us who we are" I looked at him shocked I stare into his sky blue eyes I can feel warmth in my chest 'is this...?' I leaned in closer to him "I see your awake now"we looked and see Tatsuya returned "did I interrupt something?" I quickly stood up blushing "i-it's nothing" he just nods he cooked our dinner since Augustine is still recovering as we eat we are sharing stories...

Timeskip

Everyone is asleep I went to the window and watch as the grimms wander around but I saw a silhouette I look closer with my scope and I saw a citizen I acted quickly and went to them I quickly went in front of the citizen "don't worry, I'm here to save you" but someone from behind me cover my mouth and nose with a napkin I can feel myself getting drowsy then everything went black

*Augustine's POV*

I woke up and it was morning I saw Rose's sleeping bag empty maybe she woke up early i then heard Tatsu screamed "AUGUSTINE ROSE HAS BEEN KIDNAP" by that statement I quickly stood up ignoring the pain I get my scroll and call her after a few seconds she answered "Rose where-" I was off buy a mumbling in the background "DON'T COME!!" I recognized her voice and he hung up "Tatsu did you find the location?" he nodded and give me the location my body is engulfed with light "Light Dragon's: Flash burst" 'don't worry Rose I'm coming'

*Rose's POV*

The kidnapper hung up and broke my scroll and he went closer to me and lifted my chin "LET ME GO!!" he just released and evil chuckle "I will have my 'fun' with you first, but right now I have a visitor to kicked out" he said and a flash of light, after it fades I never thought he would come and save me "Augustine..." I felt relief seeing his face again but his eyes are different it's crimson "are you trying to save your girlfriend?" I bushed at his question "I'm not trying to save her..." I felt my heart shatter until he continues "..I'm going to save her" he said as tears steamed down my cheeks "hmph let's see you try" as he used his magic it's earth magic "Earth Make: Greatsword" light engulf Augustine "Requip: Guardian Armor" he now wore a combination of white and blue armor then he draws his sword then they clash swing after swing Augustine was on the offensive "Activate: Dust embed mode" his hilt blinked "Inferno mode" his sword is now glowing red "Let's go" he disappeared his speed is amazing he sliced him with precision sending the one who kidnap me to his knees "w-w-who are you?" he ask clearly terrified then Augustine went back to his normal clothing light engulfed him and also a black red flames I saw he had dark red marking from his hand going up to one of his eye "n--n-no way!! you're one of the four great dragons, the Holy Dragon" Augustine lifted his fingers "Light Dragon's Holy Chain" A line of light came from his fingers and caught the kidnapper and pinned him against the wall after that he came up to me and untie the ropes once I get free I hugged him tightly "it's alright your safe now" I felt tears came out of my eyes "I'm always failing to meet everyone's expectations, I thought he was in trouble so i tried to help him but he drugged me, I'm sorry" he just smiled at me and hugged me tightly "it's alright we cannot always please everyone, and don't apologize, you tried to help someone, and that's what I saw in you a selfless person who puts the needs of others before yourself" after that he let me go and restrained the molester "let's go the mission has been complete" Tatsuya just arrived "I see you've captured her kidnapper" "yeah, can you take care of him while I carry Rose" he nodded

Augustine carried me Bridal style I can feel my cheeks burning "hm? do you have a fever you're burning up" I shook my head "I ... uh... wanted to ask you something" he then look at me expectantly "c-c-can I join your team? if not it's fine" he then flash me a smile "of course I will Tatsu and I wanted to ask you after this mission is over" my eyes are wide my happiness could not be contained "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!" I proceeded to hug him, I uncontrollably kissed him on the cheek his eyes went wide and looked at me I looked away and blush "if you want to enhance you flame magic I will teach you" "really!?" he nods and we went back to the airship "one more member and we are a full team" Augustine said and Tatsu and I nodded, I looked at him and he flashed me a smile

'I now know this warm feeling... I have fallen for someone... he's my...'
