"So what's the first thing we are doing?" he asked
I looked around and smiled softly "Do you like the sound of waves?"
"No not really! I don't pay that much attention"
"Brat" I twisted my lips and pulled him near the shore. We sat down in silence.
"This is boring"
"You're boring"
"I'm not you're"
"Shut Up!" I glared. He looked away. I sighed control miya!
"Look can you just try for like two mins? Close your eyes and just listen to the sound of waves. Trust me it will help you relax" he sighed but still followed my advice.
I like listening to the sound of waves. It helps me heal my inner turmoil. I can sit at the beach for hours but city beaches are too crowded for that! My thoughts are interrupted
"You're a sadist" he says.
I thought we were getting somewhere. I guess I was wrong.
"I'll be back in 2mins" with that he jogged inside and came back with a box of beer cans. Don't tell me he is going to start drinking now? I better go home and sleep! I frowned.
"I'm not drinking" I said as soon as he sat next to me.
"Chill you won't die from drinking for one night"
"My liver is too precious thank you very much"
"Have you ever tried?"
"Yes I've tried all types of alcohol but stopped when I realised how costly the medical bills are once your liver is damaged"
"Huh?"
"I look after mediclaim. I handle such cases. Hospital bills are no joke! You're rich you can afford it but I can't" I told him the matter of fact.
"Wait are you serious?"
"Yes"
"You're weird"
"I'm not. I'm just being responsible"
"It's my birthday come on for me"
"Sorry but I can't"
"Fine. I'll drink" He opened the first can and started drinking.I regret coming here!
"So what are you doing in Goa? Vacation witb friends?"
"Nope I'm on a solo trip"
"In Goa?" he raised his brow.
"Yeah"
"Comeon tell me"
"What? I needed a break from my boring life" I shrugged nonchalantly.
"You don't drink alcohol yet you decided to come to Goa? What kind of fool does this?"
Okay now he is getting on my nerves. Is there any rule that only drunkards can visit goa? It's a beautiful place with beautiful churches and beaches. I understand alcohol rate is cheap here but that's not just about this beautiful city!
"Goa is beautiful. I wanted to explore"
"Yeah right. You go around exploring strangers houses" he mocked
"Okay fine I did something stupid and I came here" I laughed.
"What?"
"Promise me you won't laugh?"
"Promise" he said way too quickly.
"There's this guy I like from my friend circle. I confessed my feelings to him and I was too scared to hear his reply so I ran away! I packed my bags and came here as an excuse to buy some time so that I can be ready for his rejection" I told him my secret which no one knows and this stupid did exactly what I told him not to do!
