He lā ma ka mokupuni o Melemele

Knowing her friends probably didn't even know that she was going to be in Alola when they arrived, Faith landed silently and waited by the port. Soon, she heard voices. She smiled and walked towards the incoming ferry.

"Alola!" She called in a cheery tone.

"Faith?!"

"Yep! Bea let me come with!" Faith smiled.

Hop hugged Faith tightly, making her blush. Kevin was freaking out because he didn't like strangers. Faith smiled. "Bet you didn't expect to see me here, huh?"

When the others walked off with Kevin to go calm him down, Hop turned to Faith and pulled out a Poké Ball.

"Oh! You want to battle?" Faith asked kindly, readying her own team.

"Usually I would. But this Pokémon isn't for me. It's for you," Hop said quickly, blushing a little bit, which faith pretended not to notice. It's hot in Alola. He probably hasn't gotten used to the heat yet, she thought wildly, because in the back of her mind, she had registered his blush, which caused her to freak out- in a good way.

"Oh! F-For me? Thank you!!!" She said, politely accepting his gift. Her fingers somehow found the lock in her panic, and once they did, her hand gave a nervous spasm, causing her to press down on the lock. The Poké Ball opened, and the creature inside sparkled before its green, apple-shaped body jumped out.

Faith gasped, her eyes sparkling. The Pokémon was holding a note that was shaped like a heart. It offered the note to her. Faith took the note and opened it, reading it. On the inside, the note said, in sloppy but somewhat decent handwriting:

"Faith, I know you haven't lived in Galar for very long. And even if you did, you probably wouldn't have noticed me in the same way that I noticed you. But I can't hold my feelings in for much longer, so I'm asking you to give me a chance."

"Will you go out with me?"

Faith felt a daze of happiness. Her mouth was partially open in a mix of happiness, excitement, and surprise, and she heard herself give a small squeal. She looked up at Hop, who quickly looked at the ground. He looked embarrassed and a little disappointed, but his expression changed when he felt arms wrap around him.

"Yes," Faith said with a smile. She lightly kissed him on the cheek.

Hop smiled, looking a little shocked.

"Get a room, you two."

Faith yelped a little bit- she hadn't noticed that the others had come back and were watching them.

"Scarab, just because you snuck up on us like that, expect death."

Later on, they checked into a hotel on Melemele Island.

"I hope that my friends Hau and Gladion are okay... they're my friends from Alola. Well, some of them, anyways."

"I'm sure they're fine," Hop said, not wanting to discuss the fact that Faith might have had friendly relationships with other boys.

"Hey, no need to act bitter. They're just friends of mine. And I swear, one of them acts exactly like you. You'll get along with him just fine."

"If you insist," Hop said, still a little unsure about these "friends".

Faith nodded. "I do. Hey, I was gonna ask you... have you ever seen an Alolan form of a Pokémon?"

"Yeah... Your Vulpix," Hop replied.

"Oh, there are more Alolan forms than just Vulpix. Like this," Faith said, showing Hop a picture of an Alolan Marowak.

Hop looked at it and gasped. "That Pokémon is beautiful!!!"

"I. KNOW!!!" Faith exclaimed excitedly, hugging her boyfriend.

Suddenly, there was a loud crash outside.

"What the hell was that?!"
