Bea Gets Sick...

Faith stared at the TRR Grunt. "Not if you don't stop attacking innocent people."

"What are you going to do about it?" The Grunt said threateningly.

"This." Bea sent out her Machamp, who punched the Grunt hard. "Don't you dare threaten me or my family ever again!"

Faith was trembling so hard, she nearly fell over. She slammed and locked the door, grabbed Bea's uninjured hand, and ran to her room. She then hugged Bea tightly. "Th-Thank you for saving me..." she whispered.

"Not right now, Faith. We have to protect the city. Come on." Bea pulled her back into the kitchen. She sent the rest of her team out.

Allister grabbed her. "We can't let you-"

"You're not stopping me. I have to protect my city!"

She ran into the battle.

"Jesus Chri- Ugh! I am not gonna let her get any more hurt than she already is. I'm sorry Alli, but I'm with Bea."

"Wha-" Allister looked shocked. "Seriously?!"

"Yes. Seriously." Faith ran out.

"Bea! Look ou-" Something suddenly hit Faith and Bea, knocking them both to the ground.

Faith got up. "Ow..." Her eyes widened and she looked around frantically. "Bea?!" She saw Bea laying on the ground, unconscious. "Bea! Wake up!" Faith shook her shoulder. Bea opened her eyes and jumped up. "Let's do this!"

"NO!" Faith pulled her back to the ground. The Hydriegon attacked, knocking Bea out again. Faith cried out and started to panic, crying out for help. Suddenly, right as the Hydriegon was aiming for her, something blocked it. Faith looked up in shock. "Hop?!"

"I'm here..." he said soothingly. He then looked up at his Corvknight. "Use Protect again! Then use Brave Bird!" Corvknight blocked the next attack, then flew up and swooped down, ramming into the Hydriegon. The Hydriegon roared and flew towards the Gym.

Faith picked up Bea. "I've got to find a hospital. Help the others to safety, then go fight that monster!" Hop nodded and ran towards the citizens' homes.

Faith ran towards Wyndon, carrying Bea. Suddenly, Bea stirred a little bit. Then she started coughing and gasping for air. Her body trembled, and she went completely pale. Faith gently set her on the ground.

"Bea?"

"Where..." Bea whispered softly, still trying to remember how to breathe. "Did.. did you carry me all the way here?!" Faith nodded.

"Where's Allister?

"Home."

"By himself?! What about everyone else? I'm going back to help!"

"No! You can't. If I lose you-"

"That doesn't matter! My city is in trouble and I'm not there to help. I'm going back."

Faith watched her try to get up, wince, and slide to the ground again. "You're sick."

"No! I'm not! I'm just... cold. I'm going back." She took a few shaky steps and fell again. "Give me a minute." She carefully got back up. "You coming?"

Faith trembled with fear. "I... I'm trying to save your life."

Bea sighed. "That's not your job. I can take care of myself. If you're not coming, I guess I'm on my own." She walked along the route.

Faith watched her, tears starting to come to her eyes. She leaned against a rock and sobbed.

As Bea walked back along the route, she started shaking violently. Her head started to hurt, and she felt dizzy.

Maybe I should have listened to Faith.

The thought echoed through her head, giving her something else to focus on. Her steps started becoming less frequent. Suddenly, she felt very dizzy. She cried out and brought a shaking hand to her forehead, leaning against a rock. She was shocked at how hot her skin felt.

Do I have a fever?

She was guessing she did, but she was too far away from Wyndon to be able to make it to the hospital. She grimaced and kept going. Confused, she turned left, and then she actually fell. Trembling, she curled up into a ball, exhausted.

Let me die here... this place isn't such a bad place to die.

As she passed out, she heard footsteps running up to her...

"Bea? Are you okay?!"
