The Void's Game
As soon as Henrik rushed through the void portal, he almost regretted coming in alone. Everywhere he looked was just pitch black and as he whipped around to look behind him where he came, the portal was gone. It was just him.
Already, he felt as if he were going crazy.
'Oh I see now. What have I done?! Now I'm stuck here and Anti won't come. I have to find a way-'
The ringing was already getting to him. So soft and faint yet it was so blaring with the silence surrounding him.
He started to panic and he hadn't even been in there for five minutes! How had Anti survived for eight hours!?
Henrik was losing it and without thinking, he just started running, hoping to run into something. He still held strong on the idea that Olivia was there. As long as he believed that and kept her face in his head, it'd keep him somewhat sane.
'So stupid, Schneeplestein!' he thought to himself, 'Vhat have you done to yourself!? And she's not even here! I was wrong! Olivia. . . .?'
A voice suddenly called out to him, making the good doctor stop in his tracks.
"Daddy! Daddy! Look!"

Meanwhile Anti already knew he made a big mistake. The void seemed to recognize him and started to taunt him with visions immediately. Everywhere he looked was darkness but in his mind, his eyes saw memories he wished he could forget.
'Because this is what the void does' he thought to himself, 'It toys with you. The void and Dark have a lot in common. I need to find Henrik. The void has different properties of space and time but hopefully I'm not too far behind him'
"̴Y̶o̴u̶'̴l̸l̷ ̸a̴l̷w̵a̸y̷s̵ ̶b̷e̴ ̶b̶e̸h̴i̸n̷d̸,̸ ̶A̴n̵t̴i̷"̵
The glitch stilled and turned but didn't see anyone there. He remembered he had his powers this time and made himself glow green, glitching softly. He stared into the darkness where he heard the voice but shrugged it off, 'It's just messing with me like before. I won't let it get to me this time'
When he turned, however, a man who looked to be Sean appeared in front of him. Anti flinched but the being just smiled eerily. It wasn't Sean. It was himself. What he used to be, anyways. It grinned at him.
"̴Y̶o̸u̴'̸l̶l̵ ̷a̷l̵w̷a̵y̸s̵ ̵b̴e̷ ̵l̶e̴f̴t̷ ̶b̴e̷h̷i̸n̷d̴.̶ ̸Y̴o̴u̷ ̴k̶n̶o̴w̸ ̷y̴o̸u̶'̴r̶e̵ ̸n̶o̴t̷h̶i̴n̷g̶ ̵t̸o̸ ̵t̷h̷e̵m̶.̵ ̷E̸v̶e̶n̵ ̴H̷e̷n̶r̷i̴k̶ ̸w̷a̷s̴ ̸j̸u̷s̴t̶ ̴u̶s̶i̵n̵g̵ ̶y̷o̶u̶ ̸f̷o̸r̷ ̵h̴i̷s̴ ̸o̷w̸n̵ ̶g̵a̴i̵n̶"̷
"That's not true!" Anti yelled at it, "What the f̵u̶c̸k̸ are you!?"
The creature smirked but disappeared into the darkness, leaving Anti alone once more. He cringed when the ringing became louder and he tried to cover his ears but it didn't help. Anti closed his eyes to try and brace himself back to go looking for Henrik again but when he opened his eyes, he was in a completely different place.
He was home.
Anti looked around and recognized the Septic house clearly. He knew he was still in the void, though. It wanted to torment him again like before.
"No, stop! Leave us alone! Where are they!?"
Anti whirled around to see Chase at the other end of the hall backing away from something. The hall was glowing a strange red color. Chase looked terrified, "What do you want from me!?"
Anti shuddered as he saw himself come out of the room following Chase as he backed away from him. The past him grinned like a maniac, "̸I̵ ̵w̴a̸n̷t̴ ̸y̸o̵u̷ ̶d̶e̴a̵d̶"̷ as he lunged at Chase, the scene suddenly changed.
Anti turned to see Jackie fighting against his past self. He wasn't corporeal yet and he had the advantage over the hero. His suit was torn and burned and he looked a mess but he still fought him unyielding.
"Why are you doing this!?" Jackie yelled at him, "Why?!"
His past self laugh with twisted glitches echoing around them, "̴W̸h̸y̷ ̸d̵o̵e̷s̴ ̷t̸h̵e̷r̸e̴ ̴N̴E̵E̵D̷ ̶t̵o̵ ̶b̷e̵ ̶a̸ ̸r̴e̸a̸s̵o̸n̸!̴?̶ ̷I̴ ̶w̶a̸n̷t̸ ̵t̸o̵ ̷k̸i̵l̷l̶ ̵y̴o̵u̴ ̶a̵l̶l̴!̶"̵
"You're a fucking monster!"
The past Antisepticeye turned his gaze creepily to Anti, ̷"̷Y̴o̴u̷ ̵m̷a̵k̵e̵ ̶t̶h̵a̵t̴ ̷s̸o̶u̶n̴d̵ ̴l̴i̵k̶e̴ ̸a̴ ̴b̸a̶d̵ ̸t̶h̶i̴n̷g̷"̵ ̶he attacked.
The environment changed around him again and Marvin was trying to fight Antisepticeye. However, with him not being a physical being yet, it was more difficult for the magician. He couldn't contain him. Couldn't shut him out or destroy him.
The glitchy thing laughed at him, ̵"̴A̴l̶w̷a̸y̸s̶ ̵s̷o̴ ̶h̶i̷g̶h̷ ̸a̷n̵d̴ ̸m̸i̶g̷h̶t̷y̸ ̴w̷i̵t̸h̶ ̵y̵o̶u̷r̸ ̷f̸u̶c̵k̵i̷n̸g̷ ̶m̶a̶g̷i̸c̸!̶ ̵W̵h̴e̶r̴e̵'̷s̷ ̶i̵t̷ ̵g̸o̵t̶t̸e̷n̷ ̶y̶o̸u̵,̷ ̸M̵a̸r̸v̷!̴?̴A̴l̷w̶a̸y̷s̶ ̵h̸i̵d̵i̴n̷g̴ ̵f̸r̶o̷m̶ ̸w̷h̴o̸ ̴y̸o̴u̴ ̸t̵r̸u̵l̸y̷ ̷a̴r̸e̴.̴ ̶A̴ ̸m̸a̴n̵i̵p̸u̶l̸a̶t̸o̶r̷ ̷.̵ ̴.̶ ̸ ̷a̵ ̸p̸u̷p̵p̴e̵t̴-̷m̵a̵s̸t̶e̵r̸.̶ ̴.̶ ̵.̶ ̴.̵ ̶.̶j̷u̵s̸t̶ ̷l̵i̵k̷e̴ ̶m̷e̸"̶̵̸ he flung off Marvin's spell and gripped onto Marvin's mask, "̴T̸i̵m̶e̴ ̶t̷o̵ ̸t̴a̷k̵e̸ ̴o̴f̶f̴ ̸t̶h̵e̴ ̴m̶a̵s̸k̷"̷ he shattered it in his hand, making the edges cut up Marvin's face slightly.
"Marvin! No!" Anti cowered at the sight, remembering everything he had done. It was all so much at once again. Everything being shoved in his face at what a monster he was. Luckily, Jackie had come in time to knock him away from Marvin.
The scene changed again and he was in Henrik's office, "Henrik!? ̸H̶e̴n̴r̷i̸k̷!̴ Can you hear me!? We have to get out of here!"
But this wasn't his Henrik. The doctor was leaning over Sean trying to revive him. Anti remembered this moment and his skin crawled as his past self creeped up behind the doctor like a sinister shadow.
Henrik was panicking as Sean's heart rate was climbing and blood was flowing from his neck like uncontrollably.
"Nein! Nein! Hold on Jack! Please hold on! I vill save you! Please!"
Anti shivered and cried, watching as his past self grabbed the stethoscope from around Hen's neck and started to choke him. The doctor struggled and Antisepticeye laughed sickeningly in his ear.
"̶W̵h̴a̸t̶'̸s̶ ̴w̵r̴o̴n̵g̶ ̵d̸o̴c̵!̵?̸ ̶L̶o̸s̶i̴n̵g̶ ̶A̸N̸O̴T̵H̸E̶R̵ ̶p̸a̴t̸i̷e̷n̴t̷!̸?̶O̴h̶ ̵w̸h̴a̴t̴ ̴w̶i̵l̷l̵ ̶e̶v̸e̶r̴y̶o̸n̵e̶ ̷t̷h̴i̸n̴k̴ ̶o̶f̴ ̵y̵o̸u̴ ̶n̷o̶w̶!̸?̶"̸
Anti tried to calm himself. He knew these were just memories. He made up for them, right? Right!? He was different!
Henrik's body fell to the group lifeless.
'No!' Anti shook his head furiously, 'This isn't right! That's not what happened! Marvin came in and stopped me in time! Henrik lived! Sean lived! They all did! I didn't hurt them!'
"̸D̴i̴d̴n̸'̶t̷ ̵y̶o̴u̵,̴ ̷t̴h̵o̷u̴g̴h̸?̷"̸ ̶ Anti opened his eyes to see the monster he used to be before him. He was glitching and see-through. Not yet corporeal. All of these terrible things happened before he was corporeal. Before he was physical and could actually feel things.
He supposed this was why Dark found an interest in him long ago but then as he started to feel more regret . . . . their 'friendship' faded.
Antisepticeye smiled, "̵S̶o̷ ̶n̷a̴i̴v̸e̶ ̸y̷o̵u̸'̶v̴e̶ ̸b̷e̵c̸o̴m̶e̸.̶ ̶S̴t̸u̸p̶i̵d̷.̷ ̴Y̸o̴u̷ ̸t̶h̷i̷n̶k̷ ̶t̷h̷e̸y̶ ̷a̶c̷t̷u̸a̵l̷l̷y̴ ̶c̸a̶r̵e̶ ̴a̷b̸o̷u̴t̶ ̴y̶o̴u̸ ̷n̶o̶w̶?̶ ̴A̴f̸t̴e̶r̵ ̸a̸l̸l̷ ̸y̵o̶u̶'̸v̴e̵ ̷d̶o̵n̵e̸?̷ ̴D̸o̴n̴'̴t̸ ̷p̴r̵e̵t̷e̵n̵d̴ ̷l̶i̵k̴e̷ ̶y̴o̷u̸ ̵d̸i̴d̷n̸'̴t̸ ̴e̴n̵j̸o̷y̴ ̷e̴v̷e̸r̸y̵ ̷s̶e̴c̶o̴n̶d̵ ̶o̷f̴ ̵i̵t̷"̴
The being flipped Anti around to face a puppetted Jameson, lifeless and limp with white eyes being hung up with strings. The corpse started swinging around like it was dancing and laughing, coming close to Anti.
Anti merely shut his eyes, "You're wrong! I̷ ̶d̸i̵d̸n̷'̴t̵!̵ ̸That wasn't really me, yet! I'm not that monster anymore. . ."
"̴Y̵o̷u̵'̶v̸e̴ ̸a̶l̶w̴a̷y̸s̷ ̷b̸e̶e̶n̴ ̶t̶h̸a̷t̴ ̵m̶o̴n̴s̷t̸e̸r̴ ̴a̴n̸d̴ ̶y̷o̸u̵ ̴a̷l̷w̸a̸y̴s̷ ̵w̵i̶l̶l̵ ̸b̷e̷"̴ the creature whispered into his ear and he could feel its breathe on his skin, "̶R̸e̶m̷e̵m̷b̶e̵r̷ ̵t̵h̸e̸ ̴o̵t̸h̸e̷r̷ ̸d̶a̶y̴ ̴a̵t̷ ̸t̴h̵e̸ ̷s̴t̵o̷r̸e̵?̷ ̸Y̵o̷u̷ ̸w̴a̵n̶t̶e̶d̴ ̸t̵o̵ ̷k̴i̵l̴l̴ ̵t̸h̶o̴s̸e̶ ̷p̶e̶o̷p̸l̸e̸.̷ ̷B̶l̷o̸o̷d̵y̷ ̶t̴h̶e̴m̸ ̷a̸n̶d̴ ̵m̷a̶k̵e̶ ̸t̷h̶e̵m̸ ̴a̴l̴l̷ ̷s̷c̶r̶e̶a̷m̴"̸
"Then the little one appeared." Anti countered, "And I remembered who I really was then. H̵o̷w̷ ̶I̸'̶v̸e̴ ̷c̴h̵a̸n̶g̸e̵d̵.̴"̶
Anti opened his eyes to stare the creature down. He looked monstrous with blood all over him, claws and black eyes.
Anti scowled at him, "I'm not afraid of you anymore. I know who I am and this isn't it. Not anymore. T̶r̵y̴ ̷h̵a̸r̴d̷e̴r̶ ̸n̶e̷x̸t̴ ̴t̶i̴m̴e̵,̶ ̸a̷s̷s̵h̵o̴l̷e̷"̵
The beings snarled and was about to attack him when Anti's glitching crackling around him and dissipated it into smoke.
'̷I̷ ̴w̶i̶l̸l̸' the creature's voice echoed around him, '̸I̷ ̶w̵i̴l̸l̴ ̷t̴r̴y̵ ̶h̵a̷r̸d̵e̷r̷ ̸n̷e̵x̶t̷ ̶t̸i̵m̶e̸.̸ ̸S̴e̸e̷ ̸y̸o̴u̴ ̷s̷o̷o̶n̸,̵ ̷A̶n̶t̸i̴s̴e̶p̷t̵i̸c̶e̵y̷e̴'̵
He sighed, "Enough f̴o̴o̸k̵i̷n̴g̴ distractions."
'Need to find that stupid doctor!' he set off into a run, glitching as he did so and glowing. Hopefully it would aid him in finding his brother.
As he ran the scene kept changing around him. The environment flipped around so much he felt as if he were in a wormhole or something.
Then the environment stopped to where he was in a winter storm in the middle of the woods. Anti felt the chill of the wind stabbing his skin but he kept running. In the distance, he swore he saw a cabin with two people in the window before the scene suddenly changed again and it was pitch black.
'Just keep going, Anti. Just keep going. Don't pay attention to your surroundings. It's just the void playing tricks on you. Have to find Henrik. Have to find Henrik!'
"̵H̴e̸n̸r̴i̴k̸!̴"̶ he called out for him.
-888888888888888888888-
"Daddy! Daddy! Look at the butterfly!" little Olivia giggled as she ran ahead of Henrik, her mother and little brother.
The memory of Schneep chuckled, "Yes, I see the butterfly, Olive! It's very pretty, no?"
"Yeah!" she laughed.
Henrik watched the memory unfold. It was so real. He watched it happen.
They were getting ready to walk onto the crosswalk. Henrik wanted to scream at them to stop, to grab her or even run in front of her but he could do nothing.
He watched and shouted for Olivia as she ran ahead of them and the car came rushing down. No one could hear him.
"Olivia!!!" Henrik cried as the scene ended with her body splayed out onto the street.
Then the whole scene would start over.
"Daddy! Daddy! Look!"
"It's a butterfly" Henrik mumbled to himself, broken, "Olivia, my little butterfly. . . . My . ."
'You could have saved her.'
'You could have stopped it from happening'
'You killed her'
'All your fault'
'No wonder you're alone now'
Henrik sobbed as the memory replayed over and over and over again.
"Henrik!" a voice in the distance was barely heard. It sounded so far away.
Henrik watched again as his daughter was hit and there was nothing he could do about it.
"̸H̸E̵N̴R̷I̴K̸!̷!̶!̵ Open your eyes!!"
'But they ARE open' he thought to himself blankly.
But something inside of him told him he should listen to the voice and he closed his eyes. Once he did, everything around him was silent and the breeze he had felt was gone. The ringing returned. He opened his eyes and there was pitch black.
'Then where was that voice coming from?'
"Henrik!"
The doctor turned around and actually saw something in the distance. A faint green glow running towards him.
'Is that?'
"Anti?" The figure in the distance glitched, coming faster towards him like a freight train until he stopped himself right before him, breathing heavily.
The two stared at one another, both with tears in their eyes.
Henrik was the first one to break and grabbed Anti, holding him to him in a fierce hug, sobbing into him.
Anti hugged the doctor back, "Damn idiot" he mumbled through his own tears, "Thought I lost ya, doc. You still s̵a̴n̸e̶?̴"̶
Henrik cried, "She. . . .she's not here. She's gone. . ."
Anti tightened his hold on Henrik, "Let's get out of here, doc. We don't need to be here any more"
With a slow breathe, Anti glitched them out.
However, in that split moment with Anti, he could see something. A memory that didn't belong to him. The memory was Anti's. One that he kept locked away. Henrik could tell it was secretive, it felt wrong. But he recognized the environment and the balloons, the music and the scene. It was the party. But it was only a couple seconds before they were out of the void and Anti glitched them out through Henrik's computer.
The two collapsed onto the ground still holding one another and Henrik's visual of Anti's memory was in the back of his mind as he remembered Olivia.
"She really is gone" Henrik whimpered, "She's gone, Anti"
"Shh Shh" Anti tried his best to soothe the doctor, "I know, Hen. I know. I'm s̶o̵r̷r̵y̴.̷"̵
"I wasted so much time. . . .." he cried, "So many months gone."
"No, no, no, I don't think so" Anti rested his chin against Henrik's shoulder, "You were grieving. That's not wasted time, Hen."
"And vhat about my wife and son!? Zhey vill never forgive me! I abandoned them!"
"I'm sure that's not true, Hen." Anti tried to be supportive, he really did but this was all new to him. He wasn't exactly soothing by nature. Usually quite the opposite.
After a while, Henrik seemed a bit better and broke away from Anti as they stood up. Henrik looked over to the portal that was still open, "You came in after me"
Anti nodded, "Of course I did. I know you wouldn't last in there alone, Henrik"
"I made you go in" he shook his head, "You didn't vant to do it. I vas so angry vith you when I knew you were still dealing vith your own trauma. I am truly sorry, Anti."
Anti merely nodded, showing he forgave him.
"Did you see things in there again, my friend?"
He nodded again.
"It vas the same?"
Another nod and Anti finally decided to open up just a little, "I kept seeing my old self . . . . before I was corporeal. Memories of me ̴h̶u̷r̸t̵i̸n̵g̵ ̸a̸l̴l̷ ̵o̷f̶ ̵y̸o̶u̴.̵"̶
"Zhat is vhat the void chose to torment you with, hm? Anti . . . . you needn't be worried about how you were before, you know? I hope you know this." Without waiting on an answer, Henrik walked over to his computer.
He looked over all the papers and took hold of the picture of his family with little Olivia in it. Henrik gave a small smile and took the picture out of the frame before folding it and putting it in his pocket, "At least I know she's not in zhere. Good to know Dr. Iplier vas wrong, hm?"
He typed something on his computer, "We may vant to get us out of here quickly once I do zhis, Anti"
Anti squinted, "̴D̶o̵ ̶w̵h̵a̶t̶?̴"̸
Henrik pressed a key and briskly walked over to him, gripping his hand, "Glitch out of here. Now, Anti!"
Anti didn't argue and glitched out of the building with Henrik in hand in front of his car. As they did so, the basement went into flames, the basement windows blasting from the sudden destruction. Anti flinched at what just happened and glared at the doctor who was just smiling softly.
"̶Y̸O̸U̷ ̵C̴O̶U̴L̶D̷ ̵H̸A̶V̴E̵ ̴F̶O̵O̸K̴I̸N̴G̴ ̸W̸A̵R̶N̸E̴D̵ ̴M̷E̸,̶ ̷D̴O̵C̸!̵!̸"̶
"Vhat would be the fun in zhat? Your face vas priceless" he laughed.
Anti couldn't stay mad. After all that just happened to them in the void, Henrik found the resolution within him to laugh again. Anti's glare softened into a pout, "Why'd you blow up your office?"
Henrik shrugged, "Insurance money, mostly. That and it will start a clean slate, I believe. I do not need the void constantly tormenting me again. Or you. I suppose we should wait for Jackie to arrive then we could go home, yes?"
Anti rolled his eyes but nodded, "̸ ̷I̶ ̷g̴u̷e̵s̷s̵. Knowing him, it won't take long. Him and the others besides Marvin were going out so he shouldn't be too far."
It was a couple of moments when they finally heard alarms going off in the distance coming towards them to come put out the fire.
Henrik gave a small sigh as he watched the flames eat up his office in the basement, "Thank you for saving me, Anti. I know you hate zhis sort of thing but I do not care. I would have rotted away in there if it wasn't for you coming after me, my friend. And I am sorry for punching you. You did not deserve that"
"̸D̶a̷m̴n̵ ̸r̵i̵g̷h̷t̷ ̵I̸ ̷d̸i̶d̸n̴'̵t̶" Anti mumbled but accepted the apology nonetheless.
As the firefighters got to the scene, Jackie was not far behind and crossed his arms as if to scold them, "What in the HELL is all of this!? What kind of fucking experiment were you two doing!?"
Henrik just smiled though," Let's go home. We can explain it there vithout prying eyes."
Jackie groaned but let the two get into Henrik's car and Jackie followed closely behind.

Meanwhile Celine had just managed to get away from the Jims. She knew they were watching her. She guessed someone was suspicious of her and if she had to guess, she'd say it was Wilford pulling those strings.
She teleported just outside of Mark's house. Just watching. She watched in Dark's body as Mark went about his daily routine and currently he was just editing videos, staring blankly at the screen in front of him.
'So ignorant and useless' she thought, 'Once I kill him, I will have total control. There'll be no use for any of them anymore. The void will grow stronger. And Dark will forever be a battery for me to use at my will. I'll grow stronger and stronger until no one will be able to stand against me.'
She watched as Mark stretched in his chair and yawned.
'So pathetic and weak. Him and Dark have more in common than they both realize. So funny how things managed to turn out at my will.'
Celine was tempted on taking Mark out now until she felt something strange. Like an itch at the back of her head. She twitched and let her eyes go pitch black. It was something to do with the void. She searched for what it was that displeased her for a few moments until her eyes set upon a faint green glow.
'Antisepticeye.' she thought, 'Always causing trouble for me. He saw the cabin. Those two are in there talking I suppose but I will deal with them in a moment. It appears Anti's left the void now but what did he see? I shouldn't wait too long now. I must make a move.'
She smiled sickly, watching Mark, 'He'll be laying dead at my feet very soon. I'll make sure of it. And then everyone else will follow.'
