Chapter 16
Chara looked very bored. She just followed me sluggishly. She clearly hated going through all this again with me.
Well it was either that or she was envying the usefulness of her legs as a human.
"We're almost there right?" I ask, pointing to a large white building. She glanced up at the structure and groaned. "Not even close...."
I pouted, "No need to be a grump about it..." I mumbled and walked up to the door; I was about to knock when Chara hit the back of my head.
"Hey!" I snapped and looked at her.
She pointed to a different pathway. "That's usually guarded," she explained, "We can get through!"
"Quicker?" I asked skeptically.
"Why would I be so excited about it if it wasn't a shortcut Frisk..." she huffed, looking at me boredly.
I threw my hands up and strode over to the elevator, pressing a few buttons.
I thought I was safe, the elevator rose steadily.
"Heya, kid."
I scream and jump away from Sans, falling to the solid floor of the elevator. He chuckled; not even offering a hand to help me up.
I pushed myself up off the ground and dusted my shorts. "That was quite rude..." I mumbled
"You're rude for not greeting me," Sans grinned wider.
I glared at him for a moment then sighed. "Why are you here?"
"To help," he stated boredly and shrugged.
I just sighed again, "I don't need your help," I retorted.
Sans rolled his eyes, "And I say you do."
I glanced at Chara, who didn't look impressed. "He's different from the other times..."
I frowned slightly and shifted a couple steps away from Sans.
He didn't seem to notice, causing me to let out a sigh. Finally the elevator stopped and the doors opened. Chara and I quickly left the lift, leaving Sans behind.
At least I thought we did, until we ran into something ten meters down the path. And it just so happened to be Sans.
Chara tried to catch me as I fell and yelped. "Let me help you Frisk."
I sighed, "Fine but stay out of my way."
