Olivia's POV-
Jess pulled Lukas in for a kiss, giving the rest of us a one finger salute.
I smirked, looking to Axel.
"I ship it." I whispered, standing up on my tip toes to reach his ear.
His face turned bright red, his gaze fixed on Jess.
I grabbed his hand, walking us to the door.
"Let's give them a little privacy." Purred Jesse, him and Petra walking out.
"Agreed." Growled Ivor.
Axel and I reached the door, when I felt something wet soak my shoes.
"Agh!"
I lifted up my foot, seeing bright pink liquid.
Regeneration potion.
We had left Lukas and Jess, but now I was just annoyed at the fact that Ivor spilled his potion all over my new boots.
"Notchda-"
"Watch your language, Olivia." Sighed Petra, cutting me off. "A sweet girl like you doesn't need to be cursing Notch."
I rolled my eyes, taking off my soaking wet boots.
"Want me to take those?" Asked Axel.
I smiled.
"Sure."
Jess' POV
As soon as the others left, I pulled away from Lukas- but I was still hugging him.
"What was that for?" Asked Lukas.
"To tell them to go away." I teased.
He smiled.
Lukas's POV
Jess and I were in that awkward hug you do after you kiss, but I didn't mind.
All I cared about was how much I was glad to have Jess home.
Even though I didn't get to show her my surprise.
Time Skip- Jess' POV
J: AXEL! You don't have to worry about Lukas and I!
A: I'm sorry, Jess.... *sigh* I just... you're my sister and I want to protect you.
J: well since I'm your step sister, that means Jesse is your step brother!
A: Jesse never wanted my help. He's always been stuck up.
J: you're just mad because he's dating your crush.
A: w-what?! No... Petra... is nice.. but I don't have a crush on her!
J: what about looking at your pictures of the order on your wall- looking at Petra and melting?
A: that was when I was like.... thirteen.
J: sure, Axel. Just know that you can't keep me under your wing. Even though our mom is gone- it doesn't mean that you can protect me forever.
A: .........I understand, Jess. Just.... just know that I'm happy if you're happy.
J: thanks, Axel.

I sighed, thinking about my family.
Jesse.... is with Petra. Even though we're twins- Jesse and I couldn't be more different.
And Axel..... treats me more like a sister than my twin. Which is pretty sad.
My phone buzzed, making me jump.
I reached for it, seeing Lukas's face light up on screen.
He.... wanted to FaceTime.
I accepted his call, already feeling better.
J: Lukas! How is everything?
L: it's good, Jess. I'm just checking up on you. Olivia texted me and said that she could hear Axel yelling at you. Are you okay?
J: *laughs* im okay, Lukas. Axel was just lecturing me about... things.
L: well... I'm not going to ask about your conversation. You two are siblings, and you deserve your privacy- however... I have something to show you.
J: r-really? What?
L: *chuckles* meet me at my house, then we'll go to my workshop. Like I said- you'll love it.
J: *smiles* should I be concerned?
L: no. Just prepare to be melted by cuteness. They're adorable.
J: they?
L: oh! I gave away too much! Just.... meet me at my house!
J: *blushes* see you soon.
L: see you soon.

I stuffed my phone in my pocket, seeing a familiar leather jacket hanging on my doorknob.
I picked it up, pulling it on me.
Sadly, it didn't smell like Lukas anymore.
I'll just return it to him today.... then steal it again in the future.
Lukas wasn't too far away, so I decided to walk to his house.
Time skip: Jess' POV
"Why exactly are we going to your workshop?" I asked, pulling his jacket around me tighter. "I thought that you only use it for your architecture."
Lukas smiled.
"I do. But I also have your surprise in there."
"ARGH! Can you just tell me what the thing is?!" I snapped.
"Now wouldn't that just ruin the surprise?" Purred Lukas, taking out a key.
I crossed my arms, barely managing to keep a straight face.
Lukas opened the door, his smile turning into a smirk.
"Come on in."
I followed him into the small building, smelling sawdust and paint.
Lukas led me to a small room the most excited smile on his face.
In the room, was nothing except a couple dog food bowls and pet beds.
I was confused, until I saw them.
There was an adorable pink piglet who seemed to smile at me- along with a bright orange kitten who walked right up to me with its clumsy legs.
I squealed, sitting down on the ground to let the animals.
"Lukas! Where did you get-"
"I got the cat from the shelter... I found the piglet in the rubble of a building."
He sat down across from me.
Lukas's POV
Jess has always loved animals-
For as long as I could remember, we would play with animals and.. she was heartbroken when she lost Reuben.
Jess laughed, the cat rubbing up against her.
The piglet walked to me, so I stroked its soft head gently.
"Careful. You don't want him to bite you."
As if on cue, Jess squealed, cradling her hand.
There was a small cut on her hand, blood starting to drop slowly from it.
"These.... are ADORABLE!" Squealed Jess, picking up the piglet and squeezing it.
The piglet oinked happily, its brown eyes looking exactly like Reuben's.
"Well, im glad you like them-" I paused, scratching the cat's head. "Because they're yours."
Jess' eyes lit up.
"L-Lukas.... I couldn't.... I mean- I'd LOVE to... but... I don't want to take them from you!"
She looked so happy.
"Jess. If I didn't want you to have them- I wouldn't have offered them to you. I just thought you'd want a companion."
She smiled, still hugging the piglet.
"Thank you, Lukas." She squeaked. "I'll take good care of them."
I looked back to the animals.
"What are you gonna name them?" I asked.
"I don't know...." sighed Jess, absentmindedly. "Do you have any ideas?"
I smirked.
"How about oink for the piglet.... and christipurr for the cat?"
Jess and I burst out laughing, the piglet scrambling away from us.
"Y-yes.... those sound like great names..." laughed Jess, tears streaming down her face.
I stifled laughter, glad that she liked my surprise.
