Liar
Time skip- Maya's POV
The town looked so... beautiful when it was dark outside.
My breath appeared in the air, my blaze rods jacket wrapped tightly around me.
Ugh. Why did am I even doing this?
I was walking the same path I had done so many times...
But I haven't been here in... months.
The houses still glowed from the inside, Christmas lights strewn around the front of everyone's home.
I paused, looking up at the wooden front door in front of me.
...it's not to late to go home, you know. You could just leave, and forget this ever happened.
I sighed, ringing the doorbell.
But when else are you going to be able to apologize?
I heard footsteps, and the door cracked open.
Almost immediately, he slammed the door shut.
But I was quicker.
I shoved the toe of my boot between the door and the frame, gritting my teeth.
Trying not to scream, I could tell that he really wanted me to leave.
I brushed hair out of my eyes, staring at the cracked door.
I could just make out the tiniest floof of blond hair, too.
"Lukas?"I questioned.
No reply.
Well you shouldn't expect him to just forgive you on the spot. You broke his heart. His emotions are valid.
I closed my eyes for a second, trying to regain my bearings.
But you've got to admit. Aiden really does have-
I pushed the thought of Aiden out of my mind.
Now is about him. You need to apologize.
"Go. Away." He growled.
I felt the door crush my foot more, but I stood my ground.
"Lukas, I want to talk to you!" I whimpered.
I heard him sigh, opening up the door slowly.
"Get inside." He muttered.
I walked into his house, smelling... cookies?
Was he making chocolate chip cookies? Because that's what he... used to make.. on Christmas....
He glared at me, sitting down on his couch.
I sat down in a fluffy beanbag, the whole thing smelling like cedar wood.
Remember when he used to come home smelling like that?
............don't think like that. Lukas hates you now. And besides- I'm with Aiden.
I awkwardly shifted in the beanbag, keeping my eyes trained on Lukas.
His blond hair was sticking up higher on one side- almost like he had slept on it.
His face looked tired, but... he didn't show any signs of fatigue.
Ice blue eyes cut into me, hatred filling them.
"What.... do you want from me?!" He spat, his anger catching me off guard.
I had stood up in alarm... an old habit.
He still glared at me.
"I.... wanted to apologize...." I mumbled.
Lukas grinned.
"Apologize? Heh.... You don't need to apologize!" He exclaimed. "Because ripping someone's heart in two isn't something you shouldn't do. In fact, I totally wish that everything goes your way! After all.... you 'never wanted to see me again'."
I remembered those words I had said... while breaking up with him.
You are such a bitch. You can't even apologize to him without crying.
I felt tears sting my eyes, but I held them back- not wanting to give Lukas the satisfaction of seeing me cry.
Even filled with hatred, his beautiful blue eyes looked at me with.... mini crystals of what looked like ice spiderwebbing out.
I grinned.
"Lukas.... I wanted to wish you a merry Christmas." I purred, walking towards him.
"W-what?!" He hissed.
...heh. He's dating Jess...... let's see how well he can control himself while SHES gone. (Don't look at me like that. I kno I wouldn't try anything.)
Lukas's POV
Maya had her cobalt-blue eyes trained on me, a smirk on her face.
"W-what are you doing, Maya?!" I growled.
Without an answer, she grabbed my shirt, pulling me in for a kiss.
I pushed her away, disgusted at how low she'd stoop.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!" I shrieked.
Myah smirked again.
"My Christmas present for you." She purred.
I charged my gaze with hatred, wanting nothing more than to punch her.
No, Lukas. Live up to your 'nice guy' attitude... besides- what would you gain from punching her?
"Why would you do this?!" I hissed. "Why would you come to my house on Christmas and decide to flirt with me and-"
"Lukas. You and I both know very well why I'm here." Sighed Maya. "Jessica is out of town. Maybe.... you'd like to know how I felt when you went away? What it's like to fall for another person?!"
I crossed my arms.
Just ignore her. She's just trying to bother you.
"What's the matter?" She asked, her voice sickeningly sweet. "Can't admit that you actually liked my kiss?"
"Never. In a million years..." I spat. "Will I EVER have anything to do with you EVER AGAIN!"
Her smirk disappeared.
"Now do me a favor..." I muttered. "And leave my house."
"What?" Snapped maya. "But why-"
"I SAID TO GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" I snarled, pulling my sword off of my couch and pointing at her.
She frowned.
"Whatever, Lukas..." she sighed, walking to the door. "But if you ever need me...."
She paused outside the door.
"You know where to find me."
The door slammed.
