Lukas's POV
I woke up to the sun shining in my face.
It glistened through the trees, cascading down softly.
I looked down at Jess, who was still asleep.
Was she okay with this? Did I do alright? ...I really hope so.
I pulled out my phone, seeing a TON of messages from our friends.

O: hey Lukas! How was your date? Oh, I don't need to know... I just hope you two had fun. ;)
What is WITH Olivia and thinking that Jess and I would do tier 15?! No! Just- no.
O: make sure you tell me anything worth my while, though.

A: good morning asshole. Thought I'd let you know that we're all going on a patrol around the surrounding land- so we need to have a meeting for that. Petra might tell you more, I honestly don't know.

P: heyyy Lukas... just- wanted to say that our meeting is tomorrow morning, we'll discuss everything that will be going on then. Hope you're having fun with Jess, I know you deserve to be happy.

...and there were many more messages from where that came from.

My heart pounded at the thought of Petra. I... she... well, we just didn't work out. That's all.
And there was nothing more to it.
I felt Jess move her head, telling me that she was probably awake.
"...Jess?" I whispered, brushing hair out of her eyes. "Jess- did you sleep okay?"
She smiled, opening her eyes slowly.
"Yeah... it was so peaceful out here..." she answered, blushing.
I felt my face get hot, Jess putting on my jacket.
"Um... I just wanted to tell you about a meeting.." I sighed, still tired.
"What meeting?" Asked Jess, concerned.
"We're having a meeting tomorrow morning to plan our expedition around the outskirts of town.." I said, standing up.
"Really?" Asked Jess. "Do we choose if we want to go?"
"I... honestly don't know." I replied, helping Jess to her feet. "But I hope that we get a chance to."
She smirked at me, causing me to blush even more.
"Are you suggesting you and I go by ourselves on the expedition?" She purred, her tone playful.
"I-I don't... I know if-"
"Relax, Lukas." Teased Jess, pulling back forestry. "I was just playing. Besides- the others would freak out if we went alone. They'd NEVER shut up about it."
I stifled a laugh, following Jess through the trees.
I think that was a wonderful first date.
Time skip- Jess' POV
"Bye Lukas!" I called, waving as I closed the door behind me.
I saw him smile, backing out of my driveway.
I slumped against the wall, closing my eyes.
Breathing a sigh of relief that my stalker friends weren't here, I blushed.
I fell asleep on his shoulder. This- doesn't feel real...
I opened my eyes, walking to my room.
Kicking off my boots, I went to grab my shirt-
When my hands met smooth leather instead.
I looked at the jacket around me, seeing that it was Lukas's.
It smells like him... something citrusy.
Oh well... Lukas can live for a few days without his jacket- I'll give it back eventually.
I smiled, thinking about how this was the perfect first date.

Look. I know it's short- but it's past four AM here. Give me a break.
Sorry if my writing sounds like I'm drunk- I'm just really tired but can't sleep. So, why not make a chapter of this! Yayyy..... *rubs eyes tiredly*
