Jesse's POV
When I woke up, I was still pressed up against Lukas.
He was warm and my head was next to his, the others sleeping.
"Jess?" Whispered Lukas. "Are you awake?"
"Yes, Lukas." I replied. "I'm up."
Lukas smiled, looking genuinely happy.
"Listen, Jess..." sighed Lukas. "I want you to know... about last night-"
"It's okay, Lukas." I cut him off, not wanting him to feel embarrassed. "I know you didn't mean it."
"R-really, Jess. I didn't mean to-"
"No. you're fine." I snapped.
I hugged him tighter, refusing to let him go.
Lukas's POV
Jess was so... reserved.
I mean- I am too.
I'm just saying that the others weren't like that.
They'd... they'd just...
No. don't think about them. Focus on Jess.
I remember how tight she hugged me last night- even though she knew that I violated her privacy.
How she's refusing to let me go even now.
A strand of her hair had fallen onto my shoulder, smelling like strawberries.
I smiled, trying to focus on positive things.
Like Jess.
Olivia's POV
I woke up first.
Sun shone softly through the curtains, although the room was still extremely dark.
I sat up, everyone else asleep.
My eyes darted from each sleeping person-
Until I saw something that made me want to scream.
Jess and Lukas were curled up next to each other across the room, near the fire.
They had a blanket wrapped around them, Jess hugging Lukas- both of them looking so peaceful.
I freaked out, my arms doing a little dance.
I frantically slapped Petra repeatedly on her arm, causing her to glare at me.
"What?!" Snarled Petra, red hot anger seeping into her voice.
"Look at our ship, Petra!" I squeaked.
Petra sat up, her eyes settling on the sleeping figures of Lukas and Jess.
Her eyes grew cold, still staring.
"Great, Olivia." She growled. "Just show me my ex boyfriend cuddling another girl. That's socially acceptable."
"Petra. You cheated with him." I argued.
I seemed to hit a nerve.
She stood up, grabbing her armor off the floor.
Which woke up Axel.
"Huh?" Asked Axel, rubbing his eyes. "What's up? Is it already morning?"
Petra didn't answer, slipping her armor on.
"I'll come back later." She growled, slamming the door behind her.
Which woke up Lukas and Jesse.
"Wha-" started Jess, shooting up.
Lukas sat up as well, just not as fast.
I locked eyes with Jess, smirking at her.
Lukas's POV
I sat up quickly, seeing Axel and Olivia staring at us.
Olivia smirked, Axel winking at me.
"Did you two sleep well last night?" Asked Olivia, her voice full of that tone someone gets when they're trying to make a dirty remark.
"Well enough, thank you." Huffed Jess, scooting away from me slightly.
"Well enough?" Asked Axel, his eyebrow raised in question. "You two didn't make out? Didn't have a good time?"
"No, Axel." Growled Jess. "Shut the hell up."
Axel smirked.
"Whatever, Jess." He sighed. "Just remember that I know where Lukas lives. I could easily go to his house and-"
"Let's the murdering for another time, okay Axel?" Asked Olivia.
"There was only ONE!" Objected Axel. "And she dyed my hair green! She deserved it! ...her and her confetti-ass self, with her friends.."
I stifled laughter, trying not to let Axel get any angrier.
Olivia pulled out her phone, checking the time.
"Okay, guys..." sighed Olivia. "It's 11:54... we were only supposed to be out patrolling until twelve.... we've got to get Petra and head home."
"Where IS Petra?" I asked. "On second thought- never mind."
Jess smiled at me.
"Ready?" I asked.
"If it means going home- yes." Sighed Jess.
Time skip- Jess' POV
Our group had split up since we got home, but Lukas and I stayed in the park.
I swear, the day Lukas and I went on our first date- nature was doing us a favor. It was bitter cold outside, now. So cold that I even had Lukas's jacket on and I was freezing.
I don't know why, but I wanted to stay here with him.
I guess we both didn't want to leave the other.
"Jess?" Asked Lukas, sounding slightly nervous.
"What, Lukas?"
"I-I was wondering... if maybe..." his face was bright red. "If you want to be my girlfriend?"
I looked into his sparkling blue eyes, seeing that he seemed scared.
Like I'd turn him down.
Like I'd play him like the others.
"Of course, Lukas. But only if you'd be my boyfriend."
I smiled, fighting the urge to kiss him in front of the people.
"What now?" I asked.
Lukas smirked.
"I don't know. But let's get out of here before the people start yelling at us." Replied Lukas.
"Agreed." I sighed.
We started walking away, heading towards the hub.
I turned to Lukas, holding out his jacket.
"I forgot to give this back..." I trailed off.
"Keep it." Asserted Lukas. "Now that we're dating, you're supposed to take my jacket whenever you feel like it."
I blushed, pulling the jacket over me.
Our houses were extremely close to the hub- and we were already there.
"See you tomorrow?" I asked.
"See you tomorrow." He replied, both of us walking in opposite directions.
