(3rd Person POV)
The rustling outside made the two uneasy, and the atmosphere quickly turned eery and hostile.
For a moment, they hoped for a reasonable explanation. Hoping it was just a monster respawning near the home.
But their hopes soon died when they heard maniacal laughter coming from outside the home.
"I was really hoping you were wrong, Yui," Sinon murmured, as she equipped her bow and arrow, along with her dagger if things went badly.
They heard nails scrape the wall outside, and slowly they followed the sound, heading to the front door.
"Hikari," Sinon growled.
"She can't come in, only those that papa authorized on the his friend list can come inside, which is only a few," Yui reassured. The nails scraping against the wall noise ceased.
Creating tension from the newfound silence caused Sinon's heart to race, hearing it now.
Ba-dump.
Ba-dump.
Ba-dump.
A menacing giggle came from just beyond the front door, that turned into a uproar of laughter.
"Here kitty kitty kitty," Hikari's voice sang.
"Don't open that door, Sinon," Yui warned.
"Aw don't you wanna play with me?" Her voice called. Sinon took a step towards that door.
"Sinonononon," Yui warned.
"Aw come on, let me in," she pleaded, scratching on the front door.
"Or at least come outside and play," Hikari suggested, peeking through the window.
Her face was virtually the same as it was in reality, sweet and cute, although she had a menacing grin take over her lips, and her eyes piercing Sinon's.
I don't want to look into the windows her soul, Sinon grimaced at the thought staring back into her piercing eyes. Afraid of what monstrosities she might might encounter within them. What twisted, tormented, sick thoughts that must go through her mind.
Hikari intently licked her lips, which frightened Sinon a bit.
"Are you going to keep me waiting long?" Hikari questioned. Sinon headed towards the door.
"Sinon," Yui warned. Since her body was no longer physically available, she couldn't do much other than warn her.
"I need to finish this, Yui," Sinon smiled vacantly in the room, not sure where Yui was.
Sinon headed for the door, causing Hikari to giggle with excitement, soon fading into the fog behind her.
Sinon took a hold of the doorknob and slowly turned, opening the door. The house was suddenly surrounded in thick fog.
She took a step out of the home, and stepped out into the fog.
"This is a trap," Yui whispered.
"I know that Yui," Sinon sighed.
"You rely on your vision, Sinon. Why else would she use the fog?" Yui questioned.
"Then be my eyes for now," Sinon whispered.
"Alright," Yui muttered nervously, keeping her guard up.
"Sinon, duck now," Yui shouted, and quickly Sinon followed her orders, and soon heard a thump. She turned back and saw a dagger wedged into the wood of the home, that was intentionally aimed for her.
"Thanks Yui," Sinon whispered, taking out her dagger.
"Wow I never thought you'd be able to dodge that," Hikari mumbled.
"Maybe my fog isn't thick enough, hmm," Hikari thought aloud.
"No matter," she chimed, dashing towards Sinon, suddenly appearing in her vision, Sinon dodged the first dagger swipe Hikari threw, and moved after Hikari's dagger thrust meant to pierce her abdomen.
Sinon took her dagger and did a vertical swipe, landing across Hikari's chest.
With a frustrated grunt, Hikari faded back into the fog.
Sinon quickly took this opportunity and took out her bow and arrow and murmured a magical enchantment spell.
"Eh-no-mer-dum," she murmured, and a golden halo surrounded her. She let go of her grip on the bow string, and launching the arrow into the fog, creating a magical whirlwind where the arrow flee, diminishing the fog, to see Hikari healing.
"Piece of advice, level up before facing off in a duel," Sinon replied smugly, taking another arrow in her hand.
Hikari smiled bitterly, her health didn't heal by much in the little time she had.
She unequipped her dagger and took out a violet whip, filled with thorns.
"Like it?" She quickly whipped her long whip towards Sinon and wrapped around her body like a snake, thorns piercing her body. Her HP was trickling down little by little, gradually.
"I should've used this in the first place," Hikari remarked, taking a closer step towards Sinon, wrapped in the violet thorned whip.
The whip this tightened around her body, as Hikari faced her.
"Sinon," Yui cried.
Hikari took Sinon's face her her hand, her cheeks squished in her finger and thumb.
Sinon simply spat at her, unable to do more. Hikari wiped away the spit with a disgusted look.
"What are you, five?" Hikari remarked. The whip continued to tighten around her slender body, her HP was halved.
"You know, Ken wanted so badly to do this himself, told me to keep you alive," Hikari said.
"Although I'd like to do this myself," Hikari's lips curled menacingly.
"Why are you doing this Hikari, I thought we were friends before," Sinon questioned.
"Why would I become friends with someone like you. A freak. An outcast. As if," she scoffed.
"Su-la-pan-dum" Yui's voice rang in Sinon's ears, and a golden halo surrounded Sinon's crushed body in the whip, and her body began to glow, and her HP gauge began to fill up again.
"What the hell did you do?" Hikari growled, tightening the thorned whip. But the spell merely healed the damage.
Soon the whip began to loosen and loosen its grip around Sinon. Until it was pixelated. Sinon's dagger was cutting through the whip as it was crushing her. Hikari took a step back, in unbelief.
Sinon held out her bow and arrow, and said a enchantment spell.
"Tem-su-la-sin," she muttered, her arrow lit up. She let go of the arrow, and quickly became a rope, like she had done to get Kirito's falling Calibur sword, and wrapped around Hikari's frame.
"You won't hurt anyone else ever again," Sinon replied coldly. She reluctantly took out another bow and aimed it for Hikari's chest.
"Sinon please," Hikari begged, her eyes widened, filled with fear.
Do I have to kill again? Sinon questioned. But she soon remembered the harm she had tried to do to her. To Kirito.
Sinon let go of the arrow and it pierced Hikari's body, and dispersed into many colorful Pixels.
She looked at her status and she was no longer a green player.
"Sinon," Yui mumbled.
"I just hope your papa and the others are okay," Sinon dismissed, unable to look at the same spot Hikari was, before she was killed.
"Thanks Yui, I would've surely died without you," Sinon smiled, although her eyes didn't match her smile.
"I know," Yui mumbled.
