But was Midoriya that bland for them to never realise the both of them were neighbours, living in the same apartment building or..

Was it because the only time they go out of their house was sprinting as if their life depended on it.

Maybe a bit of both.

At the moment, they were walking to school together since it seems convenient. With Midoriya as company they wouldn't need to rush to school anymore.

"Uhm....(L/n)...w-what's your quirk actually?"
He said nervously, trying to start up a conversation.

"Eh? And here I thought you were the observant kind"
They teased lightheartedly.

"Well to be fair I never properly used it and I never told you about it in detail right?"
(Y/n) continued while Midoriya hummed in agreement.

"Well.. lets see.."

"Like my father I can change any body part or whole body of mine into any kind of feline. For example..."
They said while closing their eyes, thinking of something.

Then they lifted up a hand, transforming the entire arm into a black cat's paw.

Midoriya looked at it in awe, quickly writing down any notes he thought of.

"That's so cool! Can it change to anything else? Is it just on your arm?"
He questioned frantically while they chuckled, waving the huge paw.

"I can change it into any feline in the cat family"
They continued while transforming the other arm into a lion's paw.

Then they transformed the arms back to their normal arms.

"But keeping them up like that for too long will hurt, doing more than 3 combos would lead to-

Complications"
They said with a nervous laugh.

He got closer with a very serious look on his face, making them sweat.

"Can you elaborate on the complications?"

"And let you find out my weaknesses, to possibly use them against me?! No way!!"
They said out in a joking tone while running off to the direction of school.

"If you beat me in this race maybe I will tell you!"

"Wh- WHAT? No fair you already started without my knowledge!"
He yelled out while trying to catch up to them.

Laughter of two teenagers, running to school filled the neighbourhood. All Aunt Akari could do was shake her head with a chuckle before walking back into the house.

(Y/n) dashed down the route to school, turning by corners swiftly while an out of breath Midoriya followed behind them.
They quickly ran through the school gates, making the prefect in charge shake his head at the usual person running in. Then Midoriya ran through it, leaving the prefect to blink in confusion.

(Y/n) ran through the door. Smiling cheerily.

"Good morning!!"
They yelled out while hopping into their seat, greeted by the other students with a good morning.

"G-Good morning..!"
Midoriya managed out, completely breathless. Making the other students greet him with confused looks.

"Hehe, I won"
They said while smirking at him.

".. with a head start."
He replied with a slightly pink face.

"Oh? Do you want to try a fair race then?"

"How about a fair fight instead since you seemed like you have the guts!"
Bakugou interrupted from the other side.

"When you learn some manners maybe! I'm terrified you might fight unfairly!"
They retorted back, making Bakugou stand from his seat while his goons hold him back.

"I'll show YOU a FAIR fight!"

"Blargh blargh, anyways right"

They said while pulling out their doodle book, immediately biting on their pencil while thinking.

"What are you drawing there?"

"GAH!"
They yelled out in shock, closing the book rather quickly.

"S-sorry to scare you (L/n)!"
Midoriya said while putting his hands together in an apologetic manner.

"OH no no it's fine! I was just deep in thought, not knowing what to draw"
They laughed nervously.

"Everytime they start thinking they basically don't pay attention to their surroundings"
The classmate in front of them said while (Y/n) scoffed.

"Because it's the only moment I actually think! I need to be into it!"

"Uh huhhh, so how's the Hero costume you've been thinking about?"

"I can't design even if my life depended on it man"
They said in a devastated tone.

"How can you draw but not design"
Midoriya said with a sweat drop, while the other person merely sighed.

"I-it's not the same!"
They whined while punching him with slight blush visible.

"It still involves holding art supplies doesn't it"
The one who sits in front of (Y/n) said bluntly.

"WHY ARE YOU BOTH AGAINST MEE!!!"
(Y/n) dramatically cried out.

"Ahem, W-well... then let me help you design it!"
He said after clearing his throat with a smile.

"Wait really? No payment right? I'm broke."
(Y/n) said, making Midoriya laugh again.

"Haha, no no payment! Consider it as thank you for standing up for me"
He said, still laughing.

(Y/n) will have to admit, that laugh was adorable.

"Huh I never knew Midoriya could be so friendly"
Said the person in front of them.

"E-eh!? Really?!"

"Yeah you always kept things to yourself"

"I-I do?!"

They merely sighed, smiling happily at the sight of Midoriya and the acquaintance getting along just fine.

Resting their head onto their desk with arms covering their face, (y/n) playfully swats the air with one hand as if they were annoying flies.

"Enough enough I wanna take a nap, you guys are noisy"

"A nap before class?"
Midoriya asked with a sweat.

"When the teacher comes in I'm not waking you up."

"WHAT- HEY?"
(Y/n) sat up straight away, shaking the chair in front of them.

"I'm not your alarm clock, tsk tsk"

"NOO!! MIDORIYA-"

"I'm already designing your costume"
Midoriya said with a serious face, turning away so that they won't see the laugh he's holding back.

"WHAT, YOU GUYS SUCK!!"

(Y/n) cried out, followed by the bell ringing. They didn't even get to nap before class.
