The hero costumes everyone wore were all very unique.
A few were simple and a few others were rather extravagant.

(Y/n) had to physically hold themselves back from making fun of Bakugou's.
Don't get them wrong it's actually pretty cool but they find it fun to pester him.

And now, they were trying to find their friends before the lesson starts. Walking through their classmates, complimenting a few. After a few minutes filled with small talk, they finally found Uraraka.

"Uraraka! Hey!"
They exclaimed while waving towards her.

That caught her attention, making her beam straight away while running up to them.

"(L/n)! I couldn't recognise you!"
She said excitedly while looking at her friend from head to toe.

"Hehe that's what I was going for!"
They said proudly, hands on hips while puffing out their chest.

"It's amazing!! It looks really cool!"
She gushes out at them, boosting their ego a little too much.

"I could say the same for you! Pink really suits you!"
They said happily while returning the compliment.

"Really? Thank youuu though I feel like I should have been a little bit more specific.."
Uraraka replies, sheepishly scratching the back of her head.

Then, a certain someone caught their eye. Making them blink while staring at said person.

"Hm? Is something up (L/n)?"
Uraraka asks while turning to where they were facing.

It was Ryu.
With a somewhat similar costume as them.
And he too was staring right at them.

A black tank top on, running shoes, goggles on his head, fingerless gloves and extremely similar shorts with pockets except dark green.

As if on cue, they start glaring at each other. A finger quickly pointing towards one another.

"HUH? YOU COPIED ME!"
They yelled out at the same time, making Uraraka squeak while being between them.

"Just because you're a feline doesn't mean you can be a copycat."
Ryu scoffs out, pun absolutely intended to piss them off.

"You wanna run that by me again, you reptile?"
They replied, making it very clear the pun did piss them off.

"Tokage! (L/n)! Do not fight right before the lesson!"
Iida exclaims while waving a hand in between them.

"Iida, I said call me Ryu.."
Ryu corrected him while sweating which makes him stiffen up and bow immediately.

"MY APOLOGIES!"

"It's cool, I like your costume."
Ryu said while Uraraka and (Y/n) nod, the tension already toning down.

"Yeah! Seems like a knight to me! Heroic!"
(Y/n) added in making Iida seem very happy with his costume.

"Thank you! I took a long time thinking about it!"
He said proudly while the others smile at his enthusiasm.

(Y/n) took their time to look around the crowd again. They for some reason can't seem to find Midoriya.

Something then caught their eye.
Two long and green... bunny ears?
Well they're green, might be him.

Just as they were about to call out to him, All Might clears his throat very loudly to get everyone's attention.

"SHALL WE BEGIN?!"
All Might asks loudly, making (Y/n) jolt in place while turning towards their teacher.

"IT'S TIME FOR BATTLE TRAINING!!"

A sigh escapes from them, training hasn't even started yet but they're definitely ready for a quick afternoon snooze.

"Huh, this place seems familiar.."
(Y/n) said with a stretch.

"Teacher! This appears to be the same field used in the entrance exam. Will we once again be performing cityscape manoeuvres?!"
Iida asks excitedly next to (Y/n), making them stir awake.

"Doesn't seem like they would repeat something, especially from the entrance exam."
Ryu thought aloud, looking around the area.

"CORRECT YOUNG RYU! INSTEAD, WE'LL BE MOVING ONTO STEP TWO!"
All Might compliments Ryu, shocking him while patting his back aggressively.

"INDOOR ANTIPERSONNEL BATTLE TRAINING!"

"Villain battles are most commonly seen outdoors but..."

"Statistically, the most heinous villains are more likely to appear indoors."

"Between confinement, house arrest and black market deals. In this hero-filled society of ours, the cleverest villains out there lurk indoors!!"

(Y/n) was already staring off into the horizon, up in the clouds, waltzing in their own world while thinking.
"Damn, All Might sure does talk a lot in person."

"You'll now be split into villain teams and hero teams, then face off in TWO-ON-TWO INDOOR BATTLES!"
He explains while holding up two fingers to emphasise on the amount.

"So no basic training?"
Asui asked while tilting her head.

"Practical experience teaches you the basics!"

"Ah so we go with the flow."
(Y/n) concludes while Ryu nods with a hum.

"Only here, you won't be fighting disposable robots!"

"What determines victory?"
Yaoyorozu asked while raising her hand.

"Can I just blast everyone away."
Bakugou adds in, making (Y/n) sweat while being next to him.

"I prefer that you don't."
They said while sliding a few inches away.

"Are you threatening to expel someone like Mr. Aizawa did..?"
Uraraka nervously asked All Might.

"How do we proceed to divide ourselves into teams?"
Iida adds in quickly with his hand up.

"How fabulous is my cape-"

"ONE AT A TIME! MY QUIRK ISN'T SUPER HEARING!"
All Might snaps under the pressure from the flood of questions.

"LISTEN UP! Here's the deal. Villains will hide the nuclear weapon in the building, heroes will take care of it!"

"There's a limited amount of time for both teams, heroes will either secure the weapon or capture the villains while the villains will protect the weapon until time runs out or capture the heroes!"

All Might ends his brief explanation, "secretly" keeping the folded piece of paper he used as reference.

"Your battle partners will be decided by..."

"Drawing lots!!"
He says excitedly while pulling out a box filled with random strips of paper.

"Is that really the best way?!"
Iida asked, disbelief evident in his tone.

"Hmm, makes sense because pros often have to team up with heroes from other agencies on the spot during emergencies.."
Midoriya analyses, making other students 'ohh' as a sign of understanding.

"I see! I apologise for getting ahead of myself! My mistake!"

"It's fine!! Let's just get to it!!"
All Might announces while starting to pull out 2 random names to pair up.

Time passes by as the whole class slowly get assorted into their respective pairs. Leaving only two of them left.

"(F/n) (L/n) and Ryuaka Tokage!"
All Might announces the last pair, making them look at each other.

"Again?"
Ryu asks with a sweat.

"I have an odd feeling we'll keep getting partnered up."
(Y/n) sighs that was soon followed by a grin.

"Well! We are partners in crime afterall!"
They said out with a hand raised for a high-five, earning a small chuckle from the other.

"You got that right!"
He said while returning the high-five.

"We even look the part!"
He continued, both already forgetting the argument they had for having similar costumes.

Ryu and (Y/n), since kids, they've had great teamwork and synergy. Saying this training could be used as practice for future on the spot team ups would be a giant lie.

Though, they can get a little competitive when against each other.

Now, everyone in class has a partner for training. Midoriya got paired up with Uraraka, he seemed pretty stunned about it.

Iida however was paired up with Bakugou who seemed to be acting a little difficult. All (Y/n) could do was mouth Iida a "good luck with that'".

Now, All Might starts to assign the two random teams that will battle each other.
Once again using the drawing lots method.

And it was as if whatever higher up is supervising the universe wanted some shit to go down.

The first two teams chosen were, Midoriya and Uraraka vs. Bakugou and Iida.

(Y/n) placed a hand over their mouth, processing and taking in the situation while eye-ing their trembling green haired friend then towards the explosive blond who seemed to be staring daggers into him.

"Oh. Dear."
