Yoo Soo Bin POV

I have a boyfriend, Lie.
We'd been together for a few weeks, which was also a lie. My boyfriend is quite attractive. Okay, this isn't a lie.

Wait let's back up a little.

4 days ago

"Sweetie, breakfast is ready," my mother announced from the downstairs kitchen.

I was preparing for the first day of school. For my 9th grade, to be precise. How rude of me. I'd like to introduce myself. Yoo Soo Bin is my name. A typical young lady. No one knows me as a wealthy woman who lives in a luxurious mansion. My parents are wealthy as a result of my father's business, and I have a younger brother named Yoo Kyung. He's the snobbish kid I despise the most. I really cannot tolerate him.

I grabbed my sling blue bag from the top of my desk and dashed downstairs. I went to the dining table to check how our maids had laid the tables as well as the food for us.

People claim that being wealthy is always easy, but that is not the case for me. I despise wealth. I despise my existence. I sat in the chair and noticed that I was the only one there.

"Where is mom and dad?" "They had a meeting at 9am," one of the butlers replied. 

I just nodded. I don't want to know where is my little brother up too. He maybe still in his room sleeping. 

This is my life, you see. My wretched, miserable existence. All I've ever wanted is to be loved and cherished by my family. I just want to know how that feels, if that's too much to ask.

That's why I've always stayed to myself. The greatest way is to be alone. Last semester, I was constantly sleeping in class or minding my own business. Because of my experiences in middle school, I have turned out this way. My buddies misled me and manipulated me for personal profit, and as a result, I have trust issues.

People say first day of school is the best day ever, but they were wrong at least for me. I hate school. I have  to hid myself from people and be alone. For this new school I want to hide my family secrets that I am rich. I do not want the past to repeat itself again. 

I stepped in the school with my bag in hand and saw students running around, some are walking while charing and here I am alone by myself. Well whatever. 

I pulled out my school paper "Oh here" I said as I stopped at the principal’s office. I was standing outside. 

I need to meet the principal first before I know what my class is. I took a deep breath before putting my hand on the doorknob. 

I lean forward, reaching for the doorknob to the principal's office when all of a sudden the door swung opened, leaving me to crushed face-first to someone. My eyes were closed. I slowly opened my eyes my face buried in someone chest. 

"Gahh!" I scream while stumbling backwards but he caught me again by holding my hands. 

"Oh, I startled you are you alright? " He said with a low voice. 

In front of me stand is a guy that is very handsome with unique cheekbones.  The way his eyes brightened my day with the eye shape, general squishy look, and the way his hair was spiked. Well, his height is about 5’8 ft just 4 inches taller than me.

My heart was beating so fast And nervous well we were extremely close and I saw a cute guy with cat-like eyes staring at me. 

"You can let go of me now," He said while pulling my hands away from his. 

" Oh sorry"I panicky let go. 

" Aren't you here to speak to the principal, Yoo Soo Bin" he suddenly said. 

"Oh yeah, right I need to see the principal... Wait how you know my name?" with a shocked face. 

"Your name tag" He laughs. 

Why I'm being so awkward. And nervous well we were extremely closed before or maybe a cute guy just smile and laugh at me. 

"The names Kim Minseok or Xiumin.. See you around" He said and left the room. 

Well, I hope I get to see him again. He is so handsome. Earth to me stopped staring over him I said to myself while my face was red as a tomato.

"Oh, this is the class" as I looked at the classroom door. 

I took a deep breath and walked into the classroom. As I was walking, people started to look at me at first and continued what they were doing before. It looks like I won't be having friends anytime soon. I walked to a seat at the very back near the window and I put my head on the desk while closing my eyes.

The only bright spot in my life is that I have a boyfriend who accepts me for who I am. He's a year older than I am. Lee Jaeho is his name. 

The teacher came in and everyone became silent. 

" Class turned to page 11, "the teacher said.

Great, it’s math time to go to sleep.

 I just do not care. I begin to hear whispers beside me. At first, I ignored them but it became louder.

“ CAN YOU QUIET DOWN !” I yelled and all eyes were on me, even the teacher.

I got to see who was being noisy and it was that guy I bumped into earlier and with his good-looking friend. I must say his friend has great dimples. 

“ Yoo Soo Bin finally wakes up. Can you answer this for me?” the teacher said.

I am screwed for sure.

A few seconds later someone knocks on the door.

I was immediately relieved and continued to sleep.

A few minutes later I do not know what happened I completely dozed off.

" Class turned to page 13, "the teacher said.

" I said, turned to page 13...Yoo Soo Bin, " The teacher said and I immediately woke up. 

"OK teacher," I said and put my textbook down and turned it to page 13.

"May I help you?" I said looking at a girl sitting beside me. She was staring at me during that whole thing. 

She must be a new girl who came late then. Well, she is pretty.

"Umm nothing," she said and continued to look away.

"By the way, I'm Yoo Soo Bin, nice to meet you," I said and offered a handshake.

Let’s just hope she is a good friend to have.

"I'm Lee So Ye" She shakes my hand.

Turns out that day started strong as I found a new friend. Although I kept on running away from her, I eventually willingly became her friend.

"I can't believe So Ye dragged me here," I muttered as I sat at a table and watched So Ye chat with her other friends.

We were in someone's home. I'm not sure who, but there's a party going on right now. This place is enormous, almost as big as my house.

I think I need some air. I stood up and walked towards the top floor to a balcony. 

Almost all my classmates are at this party. As I was walking towards the balcony, a guy stopped me from going any further. 

I looked up to see who it was.

"Hello, Soo Bin, wonderful to see you again," Xiumin said as he stood in front of me.

It's him. Why is my heart racing so fast right now?

"Hello, and Xiumin, why are you blocking my path?" I answered.

"Can't a guy stop a gorgeous girl like yourself?" he smirked.

I'm not sure what it is about that makes me blush.

"Well, I'd best get going, see you around," he added as his face got closer to me.

Out of nervousness, I gulped.

I finally made it. I swung open the door. I should not have gone there. My eyes widened in response to what I saw. It made me angry, sad, and all sorts of other emotions. Why did I come here in the first place?

What I saw made me cry. Tears stream down my cheeks one by one. I saw my boyfriend. The guy I thought loved me for who I am is kissing a girl I've never met before. I was utterly still. I didn't know what to do, so I ran. I bolted to who knows where. I just keep running, my face swollen with tears.

This was the worst day of my life. After that, I went back and contacted So Ye when I got home. I cried in my room all night.

2 days later
In the school hallway. 

"Soo Bin, can we talk please? I want to know why?" my boyfriend said and blocked me, so I cannot move. 

"Jaeho, I don't have time right now I need to go" I yelled at him and tried to push him away. 

"At the very least, could you tell me what I did wrong?" He inquired.

"Lee Jaeho, let's breakup," I said after a brief hesitation.

When I said that, his eyes widened and his expression became sad. 

"Please Soo Bin, I'm sorry for what I did, even if you still haven't told me what I did, please Soo Bin, I don't want us to break up." He said in low tones.

"Give me a decent excuse to not break up with you," my boyfriend urged as we stood near the hallway. 

"Hmmm..." I take a moment to reflect on how many individuals are just going about their business, and some are just chatting. 

"Because... ummm... he... Yes, he is my new boyfriend," I explained as I drew a random guy from the crowd of people who were walking beside us. 

He was staring at me, and I was staring back, making a look to encourage him to help me, and he just rolled with it.

"Yes I am her new boyfriend, Kim Minseok just call me Xuimin," He said as he offered a handshake.
