Chapter 4

Annabeth's POV:

Something was bothering Percy I could tell. Was it the fact that I saw him with Luke? I better hope it wasn't because I like Percy. A lot. Whenever I tried to speak with him, he always avoided conversations with me but I didn't know why.

"So... where did you find Luke then?" Percy asked me. There was a slight crack in his voice, almost like he cared about Luke. But why? Luke was an aggravating self controlling evil demigod who poisoned Thalia's Tree. How could Thalia still have feelings for him knowing it was his fault she almost died- as a tree- and not do anything about it?

"Um... Annabeth? Earth to Annabeth? Are you there?" I was jerked back to reality.

"Oh, um sorry. Right! Luke! Yeah! Um..." what was I doing? I wasn't making any sense. "Luke was found just wandering about the woods." Percy looked at the sky and the ground, and then back at the sky again. He muttered something but I could t make it out.

"Percy?" I touched him gently and he flinched jumping back a few metres away from me. I was worried. "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He came back but still stood a few metres away from me.

"No it's not that, I haven't been touched like that in ages." He saw my expression and quickly changed his tone. "I MEAN!! NOT THAT I HAVE ANYTHING AGAINST YOU OR SOMETHING! IT's JUST THAT! DOn't do that again okay?" He rubbed his hand on his neck anxiously. I grabbed bust wrist and led him toward the woods.

Percy's POV:

Why Gods why??! What was this torture?! The truth was Annabeth was wrong. Luke wasn't evil, that was Kronos. I just don't get why she can't give Luke a chance? It's not really that hard. I thought really hard about how Luke would react towards Annabeth finding him. I had to warn Luke, because as much as an idiot he is, I knew that somewhere underneath it all, he was actually a really nice person who just wanted to prove that he demigods weren't totally useless. I sighed.

"Um Annabeth? I have to go do something, so if you find Luke, tell me yeah?  THANKS!" I ran off before she had a chance to say anything.

"Oh Iris, Goddess of Rainbows please accept my offering. Show me Luke Castellan." An image shimmered in front of me. Luke. "LUKE!" I shouted. He turned and smiled at me.

"Hey what's up?" He grinned, his blue eyes matching he sky.

"Annabeth found you, and she's coming RIGHT NOW!" Luke's big grin turned into a small sad smile.

"I expected she would do that. I'm going to move, STALL HER." I sighed and I ended the conversation. Boy was this going to be a looooong day.

Sorry for not posting much, but I have decided that Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday are the only days I am going to post. Hope you like this chapter :)
