(Your POV)

"Seriously, (Y/n). It's freaking cold out there," your older brother, Mamoru told you as you made your way to the front door with your winter outfit on and a pair of skates in your hand.

"Which is why I'm wearing layers of sweater and a beanie, Nii-san," you reasoned out, not looking at him as you opened the door.

"You know that's not the reason why I want you to go," Mamoru calmly yet sternly said as he flipped a page of the newspaper he's reading.

You sighed. Today you and your boyfriend Tsurugi Kyousuke planned to go ice skating with the rest of the Raimon team. You won't be going alone with Kyousuke but since Kyousuke's gonna be there, your older brother who obviously does not approve of your relationship had made himself clear by now blocking your way out into the snowy weather. You wondered how he got so fast in front of you.

"If he's gonna be there----"

You cut him off, "If he's gonna be there then I'll be perfectly safe. He will always be there to protect me, Nii-san, and you know that."

Your brother frowned and crossed his arms.

"Mamoru, let her be. The rest of the team will be there, I suppose so it's gotta be fine," a sigh of relief escaped your mouth as Natsumi said that to your brother, making the latter give up and go back in the house.

"You're too hard on her. I see no problem with Tsurugi-kun being her boyfriend. He's your ace player after all," you felt lucky knowing that your sister-in-law is on your side.

"That's not the reason why I don't want him with (Y/n)."

"If it makes you feel better, why don't you come with me?" you suggested, trying to understand that Mamoru is just acting this way because you are his younger sister.

"That's a wonderful idea," Mamoru said as he quickly put on his boots and parka before joining you outside, making Natsumi shake her head in disbelief.

"This might not turn out good," you hear Natsumi mutter under her breath but the excitement to spend time with Kyousuke got the better of you that you didn't care.

(Tsurugi's POV)

Finally. (Y/n) is here.

With Endou-kantoku?

Oh boy.

I kicked my toes and sat on a bench. I know coach does not approve that I'm dating his sister, but what can I do? I love (Y/n) so much.

I may be lucky enough for Nii-san to be okay with it, but I couldn't help worrying over coach's hostility towards me.

"Perhaps you gotta show Coach Endou now how much you love (Y/n) and that you would never hurt her," Tenma said, earning a slight surprised gulp from me at the feeling that he might've just heard my thoughts.

"And how am I supposed to do that?" wait, why did I even ask Tenma that question?

"Impress him! Go skate with (Y/n) and leave the rest to me," Tenma said before leaving to do whatever he has to do.

Seriously? I'm not going to do anything stupid just to impress anyone or what. Perhaps I'll just spend my time with (Y/n).

"Hi Kyou!" (Y/n) greeted me with her usual bright and beautiful smile.

My heart skipped a beat, yet my face only showed a blank expression.

"Hey, (Y/n)," I said before showing her a quick rare smile.

She took my hand without hesitation making my heart skip another beat.

We went straight into the ice skating rink still hand in hand.

I took a quick glance at (Y/n) and thought to myself how lucky I am to have her in my life. We've been dating since first year and I must say, my love for her had just gotten stronger each day.

I also took a quick glance at Coach Endou who had his arms crossed and I could tell that he doesn't look very happy at us.

"Are you alright, Kyou?" (y/n) brought my attention to her and I held her hand tighter.

Screw it. This love I feel for (Y/n) can't be stopped. Not even her brother's God Hand X.

"I'm okay," I said, now smiling at (Y/n) as we skated a bit faster through the ice.

Without warning, Tenma skidded next to (Y/n), making the three of us lose balance.

We were going too fast so I tried my best to reach out to (Y/n) to prevent her head from hitting the ice.

But my reach was too late.

(Y/n) fell unconscious and I immediately took her in my arms.

"(Y/n)!" I hear Coach yell followed by an ambulance's siren.

(Your POV)

My head hurt. So bad I struggled to open my eyes.

I was lying on my back and I noticed I was in some kind of room at a hospital.

I looked to one side and saw my brother there, "Nii-san?"

Mamoru met me with a hug. "(Y/n)! Thank goodness you're alright."

I hugged him back. "What happened?"

"You hit your head on the ice while you were skating. Luckily it only knocked you out of your consciousness and nothing more."

"Where's Kyou?"

Before my brother could answer, the door opened, and Kyousuke entered with a half worried half surprised look on his face.

"Kyou-----"

I was taken aback when Nii-san suddenly held Kyousuke by his shirt and almost slammed his back on the wall, making me yelp and panic.

"You were there... You should've prevented this to happen!" Nii-san growled in Kyousuke's face.

"I'm sorry. I never wanted it to happen to (Y/n)."

"You almost killed her...!"

I tried to get up to stop them. My body still felt weak but I managed to pull myself out of the bed.

"Nii-san... No!" I yelled, voice cracked.

He immediately let Kyousuke go when he saw me standing next to him.

My breathing heaved. He tried to calm me down but I quickly went to Kyousuke and hugged him.

"(Y/n)... I'm so sorry. I should've acted sooner and none of these would ever happen," Kyousuke said as he hugged me back.

"It's not your fault. Please don't blame yourself," I said.

I turned to Nii-san and showed him a worried yet determined look. "Nii-san. I know you don't like me being with Kyousuke. But I want you to know that I really love him and if you don't want that there's nothing you can do about it. Please I want you to understand me. You see him differently than I do."

I turned to Kyousuke and ran a hand on his surprise-stricken face. "I see nothing but someone who may be hard yet inside sweet and is trying his best to gain your trust."

"I'm sorry (Y/n). If he makes you happy, then so be it," I quickly turned my head to Nii-san who showed me a weak smile yet I can tell that he's finally okay with us.

"Thank you, Nii-san," I said and hugged him.

"I trust him. Now get some rest," Nii-san said before leaving us in the room.

I sat back on the bed and Kyousuke sat next to me. "You know, you didn't have to say those for me."

"But it's true."

"I wasn't actually trying to impress Coach. I just----- wait a minute!" Kyousuke almost jumped.

"What's wrong?"

Kyousuke took my hand and gave me a quick peck on the lips.

"I need to find Tenma. That baka..."

My brows met in confusion but before I could ask Kyousuke went back and kissed me again, this time passionately, making the blood rush into my cheeks and feeling his hair against my hand.

He smiled and kissed me on the forehead before he left to settle some business with Tenma.

I wonder what it is.

Kariya: Hiding from Tsurugi.

Gin: Ohhhhh... why?

Kariya: His little "impress the girlfriend's big brother" turned out to be "almost making reader-chan lose her memories".

Tenma: *head slowly emerges out of a box* it's not my fault Tsurugi didn't catch her in time! *Hides again*

Tsurugi: *enters with sword* where the heck is Tenma?

Kariya: He's in the bo----- *mouth covered by Gin*

Gin: He went to the Arctic!

Tsurugi: *leaves for the Arctic*
