It's a lovely day.

The weather is fair.

The birds are happily singing in the air.

The shower you took this morning was totally refreshing.

The breakfast you took was perfect.

Everyone showed you a warm smile as you got out.

And your right hand is cuffed with Saru's left hand.

Yep, it is no doubt that it's a lovely day for both of you.

You sighed and rested your chin on your free hand.

You moved your eye to Saru and he seemed to be unaffected by the situation.

"Is there no way that we can remove this?" you ask, already itching to do something more important besides getting stuck and sitting next to your crush.

Of course you have feelings for Saru but an hour of sitting next to him and not doing or saying anything is pretty awkward.

"Nope," Saru casually said, making you roll your eyes.

He played a game with Gin that whoever loses, the winner will make him or her do what the winner wants.

It was a just a simple chess game so you wondered how Saru could lose to someone like Gin. You thought, there must be foul play.

Gin always loved to ship and tease you two so the idea of handcuffs made her think it could make the ship sail further.

The only problem is that Gin was so careless about the key. She accidentally (nope 👻 ) dropped it into the fire turning it to ashes 😈 .

You swore you'll stab Gin mercilessly once you get away with this.

"So what are we gonna do now?" you ask, trying to break the awkward silence between you and Saru.

"Maybe we should go out for a walk, while we think of ways on how to solve this," Saru said and began to stand. You blushed as he took your hand so it won't hurt when it collides with the cuffs.

"O-okay."

You and Saru walked to the park and you wondered why you walked there.

Anyway you didn't mind as long as Saru is with you. There were kids running here and there and many vendors are settled everywhere.

You looked for an empty bench but then Saru dragged you to a hotdog stand.

"Two hotdogs please," Saru said, showing two fingers with his cuffed hand to the vendor.

The vendor looked at you suspiciously as if wondering why you were cuffed with this guy so you looked away.

Saru took one hotdog on a stick and handed it to you, making the blush in your face hard to hide.

"T-thanks, Saru," you said and took the hotdog.

You both walked again and sat on an empty bench.

There was another round of awkward silence so you kept yourself busy by munching on the hotdog.

Once you ate all of it, you looked and caught Saru staring at you making you freeze in his gaze.

"Uhh, (Y/n), you have something on your chin..." Saru brushed a thumb under your lip, bringing your face closer to his.

You could almost smell his minty breath and for a moment, it seems that your faces are getting closer each second.

"Oi, Saru! (Y/n)! I found a way to free you from the cuffs!"

Gin appeared like a mushroom in front of you and she was holding a samurai sword.

Gin suddenly became the focus of your attention. You were still trying to calm your nerves and you fought the urge to grab that sword she's holding and stab it in her. How the heck can she stroll at the park with that murder weapon around?

"Seriously, Gin... Are you going to remove the cuffs using that?" Saru pointed at the sword Gin is holding.

"Yes. Now, pull it in opposite directions and hold still... This could get messy," Gin almost growled her last words. You and Saru did just what she said.

"Wait, no----" you shut your eyes as the sword swung and clanged on the metal.

You held your breath, waiting for a blade to slice through your wrist, but to your surprise, your wrist felt something warm.

Your opened your eyes and saw Saru holding your hand, now free from the cuffs.

"Thanks, Gin," Saru said but he was looking into your eyes.

"You're welcome! Enjoy the rest of the day," finally, Gin left.

"(Y/n)..." your name rolled out Saru's tongue like sweet honey. "I will always remember this moment with you."

You smiled at him. "Me too."

"Also, I want you to know that... I love you and I always want to be with you... That's why I set this up."

Mixed emotions battled within you. Happy, because Saru confessed to you. Surprised, because you found out that he did this on purpose. Mad, because you almost lost one of your hands a while ago.

"I'm sorry..." Saru said, as you did not respond.

You calmed yourself and smiled. "It's okay. I love you too."

Saru held your chin. "Now, where were we?"

Saru: you almost killed someone again. What the heck is wrong with you?

Gin: Hehe.
