(Akihiro's POV)

"1, 2, 3, 4, flip! 1, 2, 3, 4, flip!"

What beauty.

What grace.

I watched as Sakura did her routine along the gymnastics bar, hiding myself away behind the half-open door. No, I did not come here to sneak up on Sakura but I'm here to present myself in joining the male gymnastics club. If you're gonna ask on what difference it makes I'm not gonna answer that. I turned to leave and head for the male gymnastics club in the next building when a sweet voice stopped me in my tracks.

"Hitsugaya-kun?!" even if I wouldn't turn I would know whose voice that is.

"Oh, hey, Sakura..." I said as I turned towards her.

"It's been a while. What are you doing here?"

"Oh, uhm... I was looking for the male gymnastics club. I wanna join. I seem to be lost and can't find the building."

"There's a big label of that place in the next building..."

"Oh right. Y-yeah.." I turned my head away in embarrassment and tried to hide the faint blush that seemed to be heating up the skin beneath my eyes.

"But you know what. You're in luck, cause I will be going there too," Sakura cheerily said.

"Hmm? Why?"

"I was actually assigned to be one of the new instructors for men's gymnastics. The program is just new so while they are still looking for a male instructor, they had asked the senior female gymnasts to be leading the new team in a while," Sakura ended with a wide smile.

"Well that's wonderful," I said, feeling twice luckier than I actually thought.

"And I'll be going there now, so, shall we?" Sakura asked and I immediately nodded and went to the building with her.

{Time Skip at the male gymnastics area}

"Uhm, Akihiro-kun... Are you alright?" Sakura asked, snapping me out of wonder.

"Huh? Uh, yes! Were you saying something?" I asked under embarrassment and the blush beneath my eyes became difficult to hide.

A sigh escaped Sakura's lips, making me mentally slap myself for acting stupid and not paying attention to what she's saying.

"Like I was saying, as far as I had observed, though men move differently compared to women, it's good to input the same feminine grace but your appeal remains its masculine state..."

I barely put any attention to what she had said. Her hot breath against my skin and the way she touched my arm as she taught some of the essential moves were too distracting I couldn't set my mind to focus.

Sakura went across the room, picked something and threw it at me. It was a gymnastics ball.

"Here, try passing the ball from one arm to another while letting it move on top of your hand and through your nape."

I did as she told me and I failed in doing so after several attempts.

"Keep practicing, you can do it," Sakura told me reassuringly before smiling gently at me.

{Another time skip - after practice}

"Phew. That was-..." I began.

"Exhausting?" Sakura asked as she came out of the dressing quarters now in a shirt and pants.

"A little. But it was fun though..." it was actually great for me because I had spent a lot of time with you.

"You'll get the hang of it. For now, let's go home."

"Okay. Uhm, I wanna ask you something, Sakura..." I said, gathering up all my courage and hope that she would say yes.

"What is it, Akihiro-kun?"

"Can I take you home?"

"Well, of course you can. I don't mind. Let's go..." Sakura cheerily said making my heart leap. I almost fought the urge to punch in the air and yell 'yes!'

As soon as we stepped out of the building, the least situation that I expected happened. It began to rain hard.

"Oh, bother," Sakura sighed, looking at the heavy downpour of rain that streamed the highway.

"Don't worry, I have an umbrella," I offered and I felt lucky I brought this thing all along with me.

I opened the umbrella and let Sakura share with me. We then walked out to the direction of her house.

On the way, neither of us talked, making the atmosphere between us a little awkward. I cleared my throat and watched the road, noticing that her house is almost in view.

Just then as we passed under a tree, the wind blew hard, making the leaves pour down a huge amount of waterfall on us and I involuntarily pulled Sakura closer to me to prevent her shoulder from getting wet.

We stopped for a moment as soon as we realized how awkward the situation got---me holding Sakura's shoulder so tight, her hand over my chest and our eyes staring at each other.

I cleared my throat and thought about what to say real quick. "A-are you alright?"

"Y-yes. Thanks..." Sakura said as she awkwardly moved away from my hold.

We continued walking and as soon as we reached her house, I thought to myself. Well, this is it. Time to say goodbye to her.

"Thanks for taking me home, Akihiro-kun. And thanks for the umbrella," Sakura told me as she stepped at the gate.

"You're welcome. I'll see you tomorrow," I said and turned to leave, but a warm touch stopped me by the shoulders, making me turn back to Sakura. When I turned, something soft and warm fell on my cheeks, and I saw a blushing Sakura right before me.

Holy fuck... She just... kissed me... Sakura... Just kissed me...

"See you tomorrow, Akihiro-kun!" she said before getting inside.

I felt my lips curve into a smile as the wind blew the umbrella off and my body ignoring the cold and wet weather.
