Tenma's POV

"Tenma! Run!" Aoi yelled at me.

Yes! Run! I have to run as far as my legs would take me. Why? There's no problem at all! Except that Kurama-senpai is chasing me for thinking that I'm the one who put the snake in his bag! I mean, why would I do that?! They know I wouldn't do something like that and for Raimon's sake, Kurama-senpai's hissatsu is Sidewinder, he shouldn't be afraid of snakes! But he just yelled a while ago in a very... uhm, I wouldn't say "unmanly manner" but it's not just right for him to yell like that after seeing the reptile slithering in his bag! And then he just ran after me, swearing he'd cut me in two!

I ran and hurdled every obstacle I encountered. I didn't do it! I swear I wouldn't do that kind of shit! Only one person is capable of doing that-----KARIYA! (Kariya: Uhm, I'm supposed to be supporting Tenma right? I mean, I'm pumping these pom poms for him now but why did you write this?! / Gin: Quiet! You'll distract him, he might trip!)

And f&^k it I just tripped! (Gin: See what I told you, Kariya?! / Kariya: Eh...)

I tried my best to get up. I was out of breath. I looked back, expecting Kurama-senpai to be right behind me and tackle me at any moment. But to my surprise, there was no one there. Guess I lost him. Phew!

But this doesn't mean I'm safe. I continued running whilst looking behind me. Suddenly, thud! Dang I bumped on someone! And it's a girl! She fell on the ground and the books she was carrying scattered around. Oh, now what have I done?

"Oh, I'm so sorry! Are you hurt?" I gave her a hand which she hesitantly took and helped her up. I was mesmerized as I looked at her. I guess she's about the same age as me and she's so... so kawaii! I felt my face heating up.

"Uhh... I'm fine... please watch where you're going..." she shyly said, putting one lock of hair behind her hair. She looks so pretty! I mean uhh, there are many pretty girls around but I guess she's the prettiest one!

"I'm terribly sorry!" I said and helped her pick her books up. I was surprised when she suddenly leaned closer to me, her eyes blinking profusely.

"Hey, are you Matsukaze Tenma?" she asked excitedly.

"Uhh... Y-yes?"

"THE Matzukaze Tenma?!" she asked again.

Why did she suddenly sound so excited? And.. how did she know my name?

"Oh, I know you! You're THE Matsukaze Tenma from the soccer club right?! The one who became the team's captain at the Holy Road Tournament Championship?!" her eyes almost sparkled as she spoke. Her voice was really sweet! But wait, why did she act like that all of a sudden? I'm kind of worried.

"Yes, W-why, what happened? Did I do something wrong?"

She shook her head. "Oh, no-no-no, you didn't!" she then held out her hand to me. "By the way, I'm (L/N)(F/N). Editor-in-chief of Raimon's schoolpaper club!"

(L/N)(F/N)... what a beautiful name. I looked at her hand, holding out in front of me. I noticed I was staring at it for a long time, so I immediately grabbed and shook it. "Oh, nice to meet you, (F/N)-chan—I mean (L/N)!"

She let out a short laugh. "It's fine to call me (F/N). By the way, I'm looking for an opportunity to interview you for the school newspaper but I couldn't find the time in the last few weeks cause I was busy and I noticed you were busy too. But then, I luckily bumped into you today!" she smiled brightly. Wow, what beautiful teeth. (Kariya: Seriously? Beautiful teeth? / Gin: stop interrupting Tenma's POV! Kariya: tch...)

"Uhm, actually, it's me who bumped into you and I'm really sorry again," I scratched the back of my head.

"I'm fine so you don't need to apologize again. By the way, may I interview you? For the schoolpaper?" Her hair is being blown by the wind and it's so cute! How can I say no to this?!

"Yes, yes, yes! Of course! What time? Right now?"

"Uhh, are you available at lunch today? Cause I still need to take these books back to the library."

"Oh, of course!" Control yourself, Tenma! You don't have to sound so excited, you just met her! I scolded myself.

"That's great! Okay, see you at the café!" (L/N) waved at me as she walked towards the library. I waved back, a smile forming on my face.

"There you are! Don't try to run now, Matsukaze!" I turned and who would it be but Kurama-senpai! He ran straight towards me.

"H-hey, I didn't do it! Kariya did!" I said, waving my arms in front of him, but he doesn't seem to listen so I ran away again.

I tapped my pen on the cafe table as I patiently waited for Tenma Matsukaze for the interview. I can't believe what just happened today! I literally bumped into the person I've been wanting to talk to since Raimon's soccer team began their revolution against Fifth Sector! And the best part is, he said yes when I asked him for an interview! My editorial staff was right, he really is very cheerful and always seemed happy. And even better, I get to know more about him today! This is pretty exciting. Well, he's someone I really like after all. I've watched their matches and I've seen how much he loved playing soccer and my liking for him grew stronger. But, wait, maybe I don't just like him, maybe I lo----

The chimes sounded as the café's door opened. I looked up and saw Matsukaze Tenma. He looked around before getting inside so I waved at him. After finding me, he immediately walked and sat across the table.

"Glad you made it!" I told him.

"Yeah. Hi, (L/N)!" he showed me his signature bright smile.

"Oh, before I interview you, would you like to order something?"

"Uhm... It's okay. I'm okay," he waved his hands in front of me. He looks so adorable! Wait, what?

"Well, I wouldn't want us to talk while our stomach is empty. How about sushi?"

"Thanks, (L/N) but I feel full as of the moment..."

"Alright, coffee then?"

"I guess coffee is fine."

"Wonderful!" I raised one hand to motion the waiter to get our order. As the waiter approached us, "I'll have one white choco frappuccino please, and my partner here would like a----?" I motioned to Matsukaze who was staring at me. He didn't say anything. He was just looking at me. What's going on? Is there something wrong with me?

"Tenma..." I prompted.

"Ah.. y-yes?" he almost exclaimed. Is he distracted or what?

"Uhh... Your order?" I said.

"Oh, of course! Yes, I'd like to have.... espresso frappuccino please... thanks!"

The waiter wrote our orders and left. "Good choice!" I told Raimon's captain.

"R-really?" he asked.

"Yeah, I come here often and their coffee menu is just great."

"Oh, I see."

"Alright, shall we start?" I smiled at him. Wait, what's that on his face? Is that a blush? And he seems uneasy.

"Yeah, s-sure!"

"Okay," I opened my notebook and started asking him the first question. "Many people have seen how important soccer is for you. Say, what made you want to play such sport?"

I saw him sigh. "Well, it's a long story. But it all goes back when I first met Gouenji Shuuya. He saved me with a soccer ball when I was still young and left me that ball. And from that day on, I decided I wanted to go to Raimon someday to join the soccer club and play soccer."

"Hang on, you mean Gouenji Shuuya? Raimon Eleven's striker before? And the Holy Emperor?"

"That's right."

"Wow. That's interesting..." I started writing notes. I then proceeded to the next question. "You became captain during your final match. How did it feel?"

The waiter then came and gave us our orders.

"Too much at first! I mean, I was like, me? Replacing Captain Shindou's place? I felt overwhelmed. I had doubts. I mean, I had questions like, 'Will I make this?' 'What if I fail as captain?' But then the whole team gave me all the strength I needed to make it through and win the championship..." I was writing his answer when he paused. "Uhm, I'm being too honest...but, yeah... it's true..."

I showed him a gentle smile. "I understand. Okay, next," I looked at my notes and just read the next question. "Do you have a girlfriend? -----Eh?! What the hell?! Who wrote this here?!" the heck?! I don't remember writing this question here! I felt my face blush at asking that kind of question to Tenma. I glanced at him and saw that his face turned pale. Whoever wrote this here will be dead to me!

I looked at Tenma with a frustrated look and said, "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to ask you that question... T-that was not my question, I mean, I didn't write that-------" I stopped as I felt a warm hand touch mine. It was the captain's.

"Don't worry about it, I can answer that..." he said and smiled. The paleness on his face a while ago disappeared. I can't deny it. He's really adorable. And gentle. "I don't have a girlfriend... Not in my fourteen years of existence. But I hope I'll have one soon..." he leaned back on the chair. I felt something weird within me. No, it can't be! I'm not having feelings for this guy!

"Uhh..." I began to close my notebook. I couldn't take this anymore. I need to reschedule this interview. "I'm so sorry, Tenma but I have to go..." I stood up and started to leave but Tenma stopped me by standing and holding my forearm.

"Wait, (F/N) where are you going? Did I offend you?"

"No, you didn't... I just, I'm really sorry, but I'm afraid I need to reschedule this interview with you. I'm so sorry," I tried to break free from his hold but he just pulled me closer to him.

"Look, I know this is too soon..." he said, his face inches away from me. "And a little weird cause I just met you, but I'm afraid I won't be able to tell you this if I let you go now..."

"T-Tenma..." I uttered. I can't understand him.

He held my hand and said, "(F/N)-chan, please be my girlfriend!"

Nani?! My heart skipped a beat. Raimon's team captain is asking me to be his girlfriend! Th-this is impossible. His hand on mine felt so warm and I coulnd't deny that I'm attracted to him as well, ever since we bumped into each other this morning.

"Uhm, okay!" I said out of nowhere.

"You're saying yes?" Tenma's eyes widened with delight.

I simply nodded.

"YES!!!" he yelled, startling everyone in the café.

"H-hey, don't shout here!" I whispered.

"Sorry! But I'm so happy!" he whispered back. He then pecked me on the lips which made me blush madly. "I guess I now have a different answer to your last interview question."
