(Your POV)

"Please, (Y/n)... I need you to train with me," your bright-eyed white haired friend almost sounded like he's begging for it.

"How many times do I have to tell you, Ibuki, you should just go back to playing basketball!" you said and was slightly surprised by the words that came out of your mouth.

Ibuki gripped the soccer ball tighter in his hands. "Not you too, (Y/n)! And why are you calling me by my last name all of a sudden?!"

You sighed. "Look, this isn't right at all! They made a mistake in picking the members for Inazuma Japan. You are better off as a basketball player!"

Ibuki slammed the ball on the ground. "I can't believe you're saying that to me. What happened to you, (Y/n)? My best friend would always believe in me!"

You totally regretted everything you said after feeling the agony of the guy in front of you.

"I... I'm so sorry, Ibuki... But Shindou-san said----"

"And that's another thing!" Ibuki almost roared. "Since you were also chosen as a member of Inazuma Japan, you kept saying Shindou this and Shindou that! Don't tell me you have feelings for that arrogant son of a-----"

You cut off Ibuki by slapping him on the left cheek, leaving a red mark. Ibuki rubbed his jaw and walked out, leaving you alone in the practice field.

He was right. You do have eyes for Raimon's Ex-Captain. But you were not sure of your feelings yet. For Ibuki is still the person you cared for the most.

You went to the field earlier to practice and noticed that only Matatagi, Sakura, and the three members from the Raimon Team are there.

"Ohayo, Captain!" you said.

"Ohayo, (Y/n)! Glad you made it for practice," Tenma answered back.

You looked around and did not see Ibuki anywhere.

"Ibuki's not here?" you wondered out loud.

"We wanted to ask you the same thing," Shindou said. "Aren't you two usually together?"

"Oh, r-right. But I didn't see him this morning," you said.

"Well, (Y/n)? Would you like to practice with me?" Shindou asked.

"Oh, of course."

You dribbled the ball and Shindou tried to take it from you. You may not be a member of the Raimon team but you still used to play soccer with your own team at your school.

"Say, (Y/n)," Shindou said while you practiced. "Are you and Ibuki in a relationship?"

You lost your balance at Shindou's question. Then he helped you up.

"I'm sorry for asking that," Shindou said.

"I-it's okay. And, we're just friends."

Wonderful, Shindou thought.

"Would it be okay if we could go out later? You know, just, have some little time together."

You blushed. Yet you wondered why Shindou would suddenly ask you that.

"Okay," you said and continued practicing.

(Ibuki's POV)

Damn! What am I doing? I can't last a day without talking to (Y/n). Maybe I should go apologize to her... And perhaps, it's about time I really tell her how I feel. That I love her. Not as a friend but more than that.

I made my way to (Y/n)'s sleeping quarters, hands in my pocket and my decision already made.

As I walked down the hall, who would be walking right to (Y/n)'s door but Shindou.

"Shindou? What are you doing here?" I asked him as I stood next to him.

"What are YOU doing here?" Shindou asked back.

"Hey, I asked you first!" I demanded but then the door opened.

"What's going on...!" (Y/n) surprisingly asked. "....here? Ibuki? Shindou?"

(Shindou's POV)

"Hey, (Y/n)," I began as she opened the door. "We're going out right?"

"Uhm..." she sounded unsure of how to respond.

Ibuki clicked his tongue and turned to leave.

"Munemasa, wait!" (Y/n) tried to stop Ibuki and I sighed. "Why did you come here?"

Ibuki turned to (y/n) and said, "I was going to tell you how I feel about you. But it seems that your boyfriend is already here."

"What? No, you got it all wrong! Shindou-san doesn't like me."

I walked towards them. "That's not true (Y/n). I liked you since you joined Inazuma Japan," I had to confess to her.

I saw (Y/n) blush and she seems to be having difficulty of who to choose between us.

"Take your time, (Y/n)," I said and turned. "I will be patient for your answer."

"Me too," Ibuki said and left.

Your POV

You sat back in your bed. Confused. You care for both of them but you can't choose both.

Who bears a heavier weight on your heart?

~If you Choose Ibuki~

You knocked at the door of your best friend's room.

Ibuki opened it and was surprised to see you.

"(Y/n)?"

"Look, I want to apologize for everything I said the other day. And I want you to know that I will always be here to support you in training."

"Thanks (Y/n). I want to apologize to you, too."

"When you went there... At my room, some time ago... What were you going to tell me?"

"Well, I... You know... (Y/n)... That you're my best friend but I want you to know that... I feel... Way more than a friend for you."

You inhaled deeply and said. "Is it wrong if I feel the same way too?"

Ibuki looked at you with wide eyes. Then he pulled you close to him. "I love you, (Y/n). And I will always do my best to make you happy."

"I love you too, Munemasa," you said before you both closed the gap between you with a kiss.

~If you choose Shindou~

You made your way outside your room and found Shindou at the porch.

"Hey," you said.

"Hey, (Y/n)," Shindou answered.

"About what you told me a while ago, was it true?"

Shindou hid his reddening face under his locks. "It is. But if you want, give me the chance to prove it to you."

"Well, I want you to know that, since we joined Inazuma Japan, I already began to like you."

Shindou looked up to you. "Really?"

You nodded and the next thing you felt was Shindou's warm hand, pulling you close to him in a kiss.

"I love you, (Y/n)."

"I love you too."

Kariya: Yeah it sucks.

Gin: Apologies..

Kariya: you don't drink vodka anymore do you?
