Chapter Nineteen › Loki Drama

Benedict's POV

"Okay, see you later." I smiled and shut the door on my way out.

Then, I take a breather and slightly squeal, flapping my hands like a seal.

She just said yes.

She said yes.

Yes.

Yes.

Oui.

My gosh.

Why did I feel so good about this?

After my own victory dance, I go to my cubicle and place my stuff down.

I comb my hair back with my fingers, simpering.

Where things looking up between me and Ivy?

Closing my eyes, I admire the sense of relaxation.

But... my phone decides to ring.

"Hello?" I answer, without looking at the name.

"Alright Benny!"

"Tom, hey!" I cry out.

"You sound happy and that's rare coming from me!" Tom also cried out happily, chuckling.

"Well, I must say that I am..."

"Did it finally happen?"

"Yeah... I think it did." Tom gasped.

"You finally got a life?!" I shook my head.

"Oh Tom. You are wrong, but so very right."

"Tell me the good news, I wanna know!" He squealed.

"Okay, okay!" I lowered my voice. "I finally asked her."

"Asked who?"

"Ivy."

"You asked Ivy on a date?"

"Yes!" My whisper grew slightly and I looked around awkwardly.

"That's good mate!"

"Yeah, thanks."

"Nah, Ben, I mean it. Nice to know you've moved on from the past." I smile.

"Yeah..." Letting out a sigh, I slip my coat off. "Anyways, where are you and did you call for a reason?"

"Well, I wanted to call... about Lucy." I groan.

"Tom, look she's taken. Jensen looks over protective. I wouldn't get involved." Tom sighs deeply.

"Too late." I frown.

"What?"

"It's too late."

"Tom...' I get up and turn around jerking back. "Whoa."

"I'm here."

"Okay... I'll... hang up now." Tom smirks.

"You do that buddy." I bow my head and stuff my phone into my pocket and Tom slips his phone into his jacket.

"Tom, what are you doing here?" I reached my arm around his shoulder.

"I just thought I'd see you!" Tom giggled. I lowered my voice.

"You didn't say that in the phone... what's up?" He shakes his head. "It is work?"

Both of us walk towards the coffee machine. I pour us out some coffee. "Lucy?"

"Where?" Tom answers quickly.

"She's not here." I scowl at Tom. "You and Lucy... something did happen... yesterday."

"No." He says firmly.

I study him further.

"Yes..." I re-answer and hand him his drink.

"No..." He drags out.

Tom takes a sip of his coffee and I constantly looks at him.

I then noticed Tom fixate at something in the distance.

"She's there..." He gazes.

Turning around, I see Ivy and Lucy talking. "I need to talk to her." Tom pushes past me.

"Tom don't-"

Ivy's POV

"God, Jensen knows what you like!"

"God though. He's going to film Supernatural again with Jared in a few months." I sense loss.

"I'm here, you know that." I smile. "You were there for me with Liv, and I'll be there for you with Jensen."

"Aw!" Lucy wraps her arms around me with coffee cups in our hands. "You're my best friend, you know that?" I smile.

"Hey Ivy, Lucy." Lucy immediately separated and gasps.

"Hey Tom. Come to see Ben?"

"Sort of yeah." Lucy freezes. "Ivy, can I have a quick chat with Lucy?" He asks and I look at her.

"Um..." Was her fandom at work? I wasn't so sure. "Sure. Yeah." I pat Lucy's back and walk away.

Then, I see Benedict.

"Morning... again."

"Hey." I refill my cup and take a sip of the coffee, it's warmth comforting. "Man, we'll be on a high later." I chuckled.

"Yep... Ben."

"Yeah."

"Tom... is he okay... has he done something to Lucy?" Benedict frowned.

"No. Why?" I lick my lips.

"They're both acting a bit strange." He lifted an eyebrow.

"Yes, I sensed that too." He cleared his throat. "Later, still okay?" I nod.

"Yeah, it's fine. Besides, it will be a adult, professional meeting. Just two people, having a chat about work." I lie. He knew that too.

"Yes... work." He giggled. "I look forward to that."

"Besides... I need help with an event."

"But, I thought-"

"Employees don't help bosses, clause seven, sub-section 3. I know." I shrug. "A little creativity doesn't do any harm. I am the boss, therefore, I can decide." I smirk. "It'll make you useful right now."

"Oi." Benedict says jokingly.

"That was for carrying me up the stairs last night." We both laughed.

Almost immediately after, Lucy and Tom part. "I think, we had better leave them both to steam off." I suggest.

"Yeah."

"I'll chat to Luce as soon as I have dealt with a couple of clients."

"And, I better go and sit by the phone for six hours, hoping for a call." Smiling, I take a sip.

"See you later. Have fun." I simper and walk away.

I had no idea what was happening, but whatever it was, Lucy could share it with me if she wanted to.

I won't force her.

I am her friend at that.
