No ones pov

Christopher Dennis was a hard working man. He had four kids and his wife was pregnant with another. He lived happily with his wife.

One day he was late coming home from work and decided to take a shortcut. He decided to go past the railroad even though it was rumored to never go near those or you'd go insane.

However Christopher wasn't a believer. He made it home without any incidents and felt happy he had proved it wrong. Still as he went to bed that night he felt uncomfortable and like he was being watched so he decided to never go that way again.

A week passed and nothing had happened. Then on one stormy night he heard something. "Follow me. Follow me." It continued night after night each time getting louder. It slowly drove him insane.

One day his work called Christopher's wife, Annabelle. Christopher's boss told the women that her husband hadn't showed up and that he was alarmed with how he had started acting recently.

Annabelle began to panic. "It's definitely a curse." She said to herself. She left her oldest, a 15 year old girl named Jane, in charge and rushed off to go visit the preacher.

The preacher had no answer and suggested it was the recent stress put on him from working two jobs. Annabelle was doubtful but took the preachers suggestion and rushed back to her kids.

It was three days later before Christopher came home. His hair a mess, bruises everywhere, shirt on backwards, no money in his wallet. He wouldn't speak to Annabelle. He simply called over Jane and grabbed her shoulder as he looked her in the eyes.

Jane found she couldn't look away as her father spoke to her. "Jane if you have a boy when you get older make sure you drill it in his head to never go near the train tracks alone and if he can never at all." Christopher then grabbed his coat and left.

That was the last anyone ever heard of him again.
