Chapter 3: Get Out
Rayna knew her dad was only joking around with his shotgun so she introduced Eric as her boyfriend. Mr. Price shook his hand again but sturdier this time, while Milo hugged his leg. Which felt a little bit awkward to Eric. After the pleasantries, Eric and the others were shown to their rooms. It turns out that the parents weren't prudes and they didn't have a problem with Eric sleeping in Rayna's room. Andrew and Makenna would also be sharing the same room.
"Dinner is ready," called Mrs. Price from downstairs.
They all went down to eat and began with light conversions.
"You have a beautiful home," commented Eric while looking at Margot.
"Thank you, but you won't think it's so beautiful during the rainy season."
"Yeah, the place gets flooded each year," Mr. Price added
"So why stay here?" asked Eric.
"Because it's home," answered Milo in a weird voice. Milo didn't seem to be much of a talker. He had an unexplainable aura emitting from him that would make a person feel uncomfortable.
"Yes it is Milo, and it will be for a long, long time," stated Rayna as she ruffled his hair.
"And home is where the heart is right," said Andrew sounding like an idiot.
"The food is delicious," Makenna said trying to take the attention from poor Andrew.
"Thank you, Makenna, it's our family's secret recipe."
"Maybe Rayna could share it with me because I'm tired of eating two-minute noodles at the dorm," Makenna smiled.
"It's family secret, it stays in the family_ family_family," Milo said sounding like a broken down record.
Everyone stopped eating and stared at him in bewilderment.
"Are you alright Milo?" asked Rayna as she rubbed his back tenderly.
"He's fine," Mr. Price said "He just needs his medicine," he finished.
"Is he sick?" asked Andrew with concern in his voice.
"Stays in the family!" Milo yelled as he threw down his fork which made a loud clatter.
"It's okay Milo, let's get you to bed now," Mrs. Price said as she stood up and took the little boy's hand. Everyone stared at them as they walked up the stairs. Rayna was looking a bit embarrassed as she bit her lower lip.
"So, who wants dessert?" Asked Robert, and that made immature Andrew laugh a bit. Makenna slapped his hand and he seized his laughing.
After dinner, they went to their rooms as it was now getting late.
Eric took a quick shower and then joined Rayna in bed who had showered first.
"So how do you like it here so far?" asked Rayna
"It's serene and breathtaking. I'm looking forward to a relaxing time."
"Great. So what do you think about my family? Do you like them?"
"They are okay from what I see, what's up with your brother though? Will he be alright?"
"Yeah, he'll be fine. He has Tourette's Syndrome, so sometimes he blurts out things, Most times we don't even understand what he's saying," she finished in a soft voice.
"Oh, now I get it, poor kid."
"He'll be fine as long as he takes his medications. They help to calm his motor activities and speech impediments," Rayna stated.
"I totally understand," Eric said as he kissed the top of her head.
"I'm sure you do," Rayna smiled as she lifted her head and took Eric's lips in a kiss.
Things were getting heated as Rayna straddled Eric. She then began to undress, but Eric stopped her.
"This may sound weird babe, but I do not feel comfortable doing this with your parents down the hall," he said as he gently lifted Rayna from his lap.
"My parents don't care, and besides we wouldn't be doing anything they haven't done," she said as she licked his ear.
"They are married and it's their house, I'm a guest and I wanna be respectful."
"Then can you respectfully do me?" Rayna asks as she opens her legs for him.
Eric groaned and placed a pillow over his face. He made a muffled scream before removing the pillow.
"As tempting as that might be, I can't. Let's just cool off from the sex thing until we leave. One week won't kill us right?" Eric finished.
"Maybe it will kill you," Rayna smirked as she rose from the bed and did a booty pop.
"You are wicked," Eric sighed.
"You have no idea," Rayna chuckled. "I'll be right back. I need a glass of milk." she then disappeared through the door.
Eric got up and walked over to the window to take in the nighttime scenery. As he looked out into the night he realized it was the same window where he thought he had seen someone.
He stepped back a bit and a gust of wind brushed against his cheek. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up and he gasped.
"Eriiiic," a chilling whisper sent chills up his spine.
"What the fuck!" Eric said as he yanked the curtains shut.
Suddenly Rayna walked into the room holding a glass of milk and a pack of Oreo cookies.
She looked at him and saw the looked of fright in his eyes.
"Are you alright?"
"Yea, I'm good. Were you calling me just now?" he asked as he walked over to the bed.
"No, I wasn't."
"I could've sworn I heard you calling."
"Well, I wasn't. Wanna watch a movie before sleeping?" Rayna asked.
"Yeah sure."
Rayna set up the movie and the movie of choice was His House. Halfway through the movie Rayna fell asleep so Eric decided to stop it. He went back into bed and cuddled up to Rayna. Minutes later he dozed off and fell into a dream.
He found himself walking along the cobblestone pathway that led up to the house. He stopped and looked up at the window and a shadowy figure stood behind the curtain. He then hurried inside the house and rushed up the stairs to Rayna's room. He pushed the door open and stepped inside. A wall of invisible cobwebs smacked him in his face and he frantically began to wipe it away. He walked over to the window and there wasn't anyone there, so he peeped through and looked outside. Just then the curtain took on a life of its own and began to wrap around Eric's body. He began to tussle with the curtain until he was almost out of breath. He fell to the floor and continued to fight his way free. When he was finally free he hurried over to the bathroom to wash his face. When he entered the bathroom the door slammed shut behind him. He tried to jangle the lock open but it wouldn't budge. The lights then began to flicker and a gust of cold air span across his neck and face. When the flickering stopped he almost jumped out of his skin. There beside him stood a female figure, clad entirely in black. She had skin as white as snow, with intricate vein lines as blue as the ocean. Her hair was as black as coal and it hung over her forehead and spilled over her face, concealing her features.
"Wh_ wh_ who are you?" Eric asked in a choked-up voice.
The figure pointed to the mirror and Eric slowly turn his head to look. The mirror held no reflection and that left Eric more scared and bewildered. When he looked back at the figure it did the most horrifying thing.
It came right up to Eric's face and bellowed.
"Get ooouuut!!!"
Eric immediately jumped out of his sleep wheezing and gasping for air. He held his chest as he looked over at his girlfriend who was sound asleep beside him.
AN: Hey y'all. Something is definitely off at this house.
I wonder what's going on.
