Two weeks has passed since Matt Hagen's tragic passing, The world was in shock after hearing his death and about his transformation as Clayface, Matt's accident that caused his face to be disfigured was revealed as well Ronald Daggett confessed his crimes and what the Renuyu could actually do and was arrested in a life sentence.

John was shocked and sad when he heard about his best friend's passing, He would everyday visit Matt's grave and mourn for him, Despite everything, John still missed him and wished Matt was still around.

It was the afternoon as Alex and April were out in the park together as they were sitting by the grass while holding hands.

April: The sight is amazing.

Alex: I agree with that. It's amazing like that.

Alex kissed her cheek as April blushed and rested her head on his shoulder, though she began remembering the incident of how Croc tried to frame Alex, She looked at Alex who was staring at view of the park until she asked him a question.

April: Can I tell you something?

Alex: Sure, what is it, sweetheart?

April: Are you gonna be okay?

Alex: What do you mean?

April: I just. . . Can't get over what happened with Croc, I'm worried if something else happens to you.

She spoke with concern as Alex knew how April would always be concerned whenever he went to work, He slowly moved her a strand of her hair and gave a small smile, which made her smile.

Alex: I'll be fine, April. Don't worry, You always call me your tiger, Remember?

April giggled but still felt a little concerned, Alex pulled her close and hugged her as she snuggled to him and continued holding Alex.

April: Please be safe, Alex.

Alex: I will.

She smiled and kissed his cheek as both of them continued hugging each other.

Meanwhile, Jack and Kayleigh were seen eating ice cream together as Kayleigh smiled at Jack and said something.

Kayleigh: I really miss eating ice cream with you, Jack.

Jack: Same here, That's what we did on our first date, Remember?

Kayleigh: *Smiles* I remember that very well, I still can't believe it's been four years since we got together.

Jack: I'm really blessed to have you, Kayleigh.

Kayleigh continued smiling at him as They both continued eating their ice cream as Kayleigh decided to joke with him and put cream on his face, Jack turned around and raised an eyebrow as Rae was laughing, Jack rolled his eyes and wiped his face with his hand before he got his revenge by putting cream on her face.

Jack: That was revenge.

Kayleigh: *Laughs* Not fair!

Jack: *Chuckles* It is fair, You did it first. Remember?

Kayleigh rolled his eyes as they both shared a laugh together before Rae kissed his cheek as Ryan blushed and smiled at her.

Meanwhile, Benjamin and Kairi were seen at the mall together as McFarland was holding the shopping bags as Kairi began running and wanted to play catch with him.

Kairi: Catch me if you can!

Benjamin: Honey, I'm already holding the bags. How can I catch you?

Kairi: You can do it, Catch me!

Benjamin: *Chuckles* Using that as an advantage?

Kairi giggled before she began running, Benjamin was chasing her while holding the bags as she was ahead of him. However, McFarland had an idea and smirked before walking to the other side.

Kairi looked behind and noticed Benjamin wasn't there as She was confused, Sane continued looking until Benjamin gave a surprise hug to her as Kairi screamed while Benjamin was laughing.

Benjamin: Attack Hug!

Kairi: Benji!!!

Benjamin laughed and carried her as the couple began laughing, McFarland had the bags by his wrist to run after her quicker. Kairi was on her feet again as she pouted and didn't look at him.

Kairi: That was cheating!

Benjamin: Haha, I just improvised.

She rolled her eyes as Benjamin looked at her before he gently hugged her from behind while saying something.

Benjamin: Sorry, Koibito (Sweetheart). Don't be mad at me.

Kairi was clearly blushing and didn't want him to notice, although he had already noticed her cheeks were red as Benjamin smiled before kissing her cheek as Kairi smiled and hugged him.

Kairi: I'm not mad at all, Don't worry.

They both smiled at each other as they continued hugging before Benjamin's wrist began hurting as Kairi laughed and decided to help him.

[At Night, Twelve fifteen A.M]

Anne was seen sleeping in her bed as she began hearing her parents's voice, Sometimes it felt like it was reality to her even though she was hearing it in her head.

Her parents' voices continued ringing on her head, which would keep her in peace during her sleep, but it wasn't for too long. . . .

A loud gunshot. . .

The screams of her mother. . .

Anne gasped and woke up as she looked around the dark bedroom, Winters immediately got up and looked at the window and noticed it was silent outside.

She realised that it was all coming in her head, The gunshot that was shot at her father and the screams of her mother, It haunted her since then, Anne sat on her bed and began having memories of the past while holding her head, This always happens to her whenever she tries to sleep.

Anne sighed before getting up and wore a silky blue robe, She walked out of the bedroom while tying the knot and began making her way downstairs to drink some water.

She began drinking a glass of water as Winters turned around and looked at the guest room where Bucky would usually be sleeping in that room.

Anne was looking at the room as She placed the glass on the counter before slowly opening the door, making sure it didn't creak. She was expecting to see Bucky sleeping, but instead, she saw him sitting on the ground while half of the blanket was around him.

Bucky noticed Anne as both of them were silently looking at each other before the silence broke when Anne said something.

Anne: I thought you would be sleeping by now.

Bucky: Well. . . No, I couldn't really sleep.

Anne walked inside the room as she looked around and asked him a question.

Anne: Why are you sleeping on the ground? I bought a bed for a reason.

Bucky: I usually don't feel comfortable in the bed anymore. . . Everything that I have gone through over the years, there was never a comfortable place or bed to sleep, I would just sleep anywhere.

He spoke in a low tone as Anne looked at him and felt bad for him, knowing what he had done through over the last seventy years. Winters sat by the bed as Bucky was looking at her while fixing his hair.

Bucky: You should go to sleep, Anne.

Anne: I don't really feel sleepy, Bucky. It's sometimes tough for me.

Bucky: Why, though?

She never told him about the voices she hears in her head and the dreams that would turn into a nightmare, Anne was silent for a few seconds before speaking to him.

Anne: I always hear my mom and dad's voices in my head, Sometimes I felt like I escaped reality and felt peace hearing their voices again. . . . Until I hear the gunshot. . . And my mom's screaming my dad's name.

Bucky felt sad for Anne, It almost reminded him of the nightmares he goes through. It was also the first time Anne spoke to him about a problem she has rather than saying she's fine. Maybe she wanted to open up with him.

Bucky: I know how you feel, Anne. I feel the same way every night.

Anne looked at him as Barnes sighed and continued looking at Anne.

Bucky: I also lost my parents when I was young, It hurt me because i had three three siblings, and I needed to take responsibility to take care of them.

Anne looked sad, She never knew that Bucky also went through the same pain in her childhood.

Anne: I'm sorry to hear. . . . Is that part of the reason why you wanted to join the army?

Bucky: That's right, I wanted to fight for the country and help people, It took Poor Steve some time to finally join the army.

He gave a small smile as Anne shook her head and continued looking at him, There was silence again as Winters stared at Bucky and said something.

Anne: Do you go through nightmares of losing your parents?

It was a tough question, Bucky stared in silence as he began having memories of the past and clutched the blanket tightly as Barnes looked at her.

Bucky: I do. . . Every night, I have nightmares, Anne. It just never ends.

He spoke sadly as Anne was silent and felt bad for him as Barnes continued speaking to her.

Bucky: I never thought I would imagine myself as a HYDRA Soldier. . . . . I killed innocent people. . . I killed Howard and Maria. . . I almost killed Steve.

Anne looked really sad as Bucky was looking at the ground, The memories continued going through his head.

Bucky: HYDRA treated me like an animal, They would torture me every day and. . . . Do the most unexplainable things

Anne was shocked and knew what he meant, Winters felt like a tear was going to slip from her eye, but Anne was doing her best to control her tears. Bucky closed his eyes in anger as the memories continued going through his head.

Anne slowly went on the ground and sat next to him, Bucky opened his eyes and noticed Anne was next to him as they were silent for a few seconds.

Bucky: That's why. . . I don't sleep often at night.

Anne: I'm speechless. . . I can't believe you had to go through all of this.

Bucky was silent and didn't know how to answer her, He continued staring at the ground before Anne grabbed his hand, not his left hand. His right hand.

He felt her touch, which caused him to warm up from the inside, Anne would always hold his left arm, but he felt better when she held his hand.

Anne: I'm sorry, Bucky. You deserve better.

Bucky was surprised to see her emotional for the first time. Usually, she would be cold and focused, especially when she's on her Batwoman persona.

Bucky held her hand and looked at her, He was starting to feel emotional on the inside as he said something to her.

Bucky: I didn't get to say goodbye to Rebecca.

Anne: Rebecca?

Bucky: My sister, We lost contact when I joined the army. I just wished I said goodbye to her.

Anne felt bad and touched his cheek as Barnes looked into her brown eyes while Anne couldn't take her eyes off of him.

Anne: Hey. . . Everything will be okay soon.

Bucky: I hope so, but since that incident with Clayface. . . I might have to start over.

Anne: You don't have to. Everyone believes it wasn't you, It was Hagen. Look, I don't care if Ross or Mayor Real is after you, You have to push through and prove everyone wrong.

Bucky was silent as Anne moved a strand of his hair, Both of them could feel their heart beating faster.

Anne: I'm here to help you, Bucky. . . You're not alone.

He was silent for a few seconds and knew she was right, Bucky felt glad that someone was there for him.

He continued holding her hand as both of them were looking at each other until Barnes said something.

Bucky: You're right. . . I guess I just have to keep moving. . .

He said something to Anne, which caused her to have a smile on her face.

They both looked at each other as Anne noticed that she was too close to him, Winters slowly moved back as both of them were looking at each other as Bucky said something.

Bucky: Thank you, Anne. I mean it.

Anne: No problem.

He had a weak smile on his face as Winters looked at the time and noticed it was getting late as Anne spoke to him.

Anne: It's getting late. . . We should try getting some sleep.

Anne was about to get up until Bucky grabbed her arm as Anne looked at him, At first, he looked hesitant to speak to her.

Bucky: . . . . Can you stay?

Anne: You want me to stay?

Bucky: I. . .How do I say this?. . . *Sighs* I feel scared. Those nightmares might come back.

Anne sat down and looked at him as Bucky was holding his head until he got closer to Anne as Winters looked at him.

Anne: It's okay, Come here.

Bucky laid his head near her stomach as Anne began caressing his hair as Barnes looked at her again before he slowly began closing his eyes while holding her tightly.

Anne could tell how scared and lonely he felt, If she knew about his sleepless nights earlier, She would stayed with him.

Anne began remembering everything Bucky had said to her, In the end, a tear slipped from her eye as Anne looked at him and continued caressing his hair and quickly wiped the tear from her eye.

Anne had a small smile on her face before leaning on his head and kissing it before caressing his head.

Anne continued holding him as she slowly drifted to sleep while Bucky was already asleep after feeling Anne's affection towards him.

Deep down, They knew that they would go through the same pain.

Meanwhile, Harvey Dent was seen in his office, talking to Mayor Real on the phone, He was smiling before he hung up the call. Dent looked at the time, and noticed it was getting late as He sighed and looked around the office.

Harvey was looking through his phone until he heard a voice.

( Pathetic )

Harvey looked confused, No one is even in the office and how come he's hearing a voice?

Harvey looked around until he heard another voice.

( Screw Justice! Let them fear us!)

Dent stared blankly at the wall as he dropped his phone on the ground, Those voices were coming from his head.

( Come on, Harv. Why should you hide who you truly are? )

The voices continued ringing on his head as Harvey stared at the wall blankly without moving an inch as he clutched his fist tightly.
